Loved the vacuum cleaner! It’s light and cleans like a dream. Because it recharches quickly, I am able to use it very often. It’s rather pricy, but worth the mone for what it does. It is very powerful!

I call this the magic wand, despite the fact a very different product has appropriated that name. My needs aren’t great, the house rarely gets very dirty. I wanted a light weight, cordless vacuum to clean chiefly dog fur on two floors, one wood and tile, the other carpeted. The Dyson V8 Plus does the job easily and swiftly, sucking up all the dog debris, small bits of paper, food scraps, and any other dirt on the floors. It is so much more convenient than using one of those big, cumbersome, corded vacuum cleaners I used to have. I hated lugging these around, especially up and down stairs. Now I can carry the Dyson just in one hand and never worry about plugging and re-plugging the machine. I had some difficulties at the beginning because the Dyson got clogged. It still functioned, but not well: it pulsed, instead of being smooth. Only when I downloaded the manual did I discover the simple solution to my problem, which was to find and remove the blockage in the tube. Then the Dyson worked like magic. The battery doesn’t last very long under heavy usage, so I clean one floor at a time, waiting about two hours between these tasks until the machine recharges. I’m probably too cautious because whenever I finish a floor, I know I still have some leftover power. It’s not quiet but nor is it especially noisy – and it works so well I can’t complain.

Great vacuum cleaner. It’s lightweight. Easy to use. I like the attachments and how easily to converts to a handheld vacuum. The suction is outstanding. Here is what I absolutely hate about it and what ruins everything else for me: the battery life. It lasts so little. Especially if you use the turbo option. It lasts less than 30 minutes. It’s super disruptive when cleaning and you’re stuck waiting for it to charge so you can continue using it. I have heard the Dyson V15’s battery life is way better. I wish I would’ve gotten that instead. I know it’s more expensive. It’s a huge disappointment because this vacuum is not cheap. It’s several hundred dollars. And I think it’s so disrespectful to the consumer spending all this money on a vacuum cleaner for us to not be able to fully use it as intended because the manufacturer couldn’t produce a better battery. Having to stop and recharge every 20 to 30 minutes is a joke. I’ll be returning it.

How frustrating! It worked great in the beginning …. but 2 months in it wouldn’t work. As I was passed the 1 month return with Amazon, I had to call Dyson. They used a video calli to explain how to clean the filter. My bad for not reading the instructions.

I am so happy that I’ve purchased this. I’ve used it weekly for about a month – and so far I love it! I live in a 1 bedroom apartment and was looking for a stick vacuum that could handle both hardwood floors AND carpet. This was a great choice.
My previous vacuum was pretty bulky and it was very loud and started to smell when I used it, so I dreaded vacuuming. I would do it like every 6 months or even once a year (I really, really hate vacuuming), and with 2 cats and myself, who has long hair, that was not good. So once I moved to a new place, I vowed to do vacuuming once a week. This Dyson stick vacuum is perfect for that. It is not as loud as my previous vacuum so that is pretty nice. The suction is amazing so it picks up a lot of hair/fur from my floors. Vacuuming is no longer a dreaded chore.
I also love how it is super easy to empty the container – I empty it every time I use it. I hated emptying my old vacuum because it was such a big event, but for this one, it’s a matter of pulling it open and boom – the container is open and the contents easily drop into the trash. The vacuum doesn’t take up a lot of space, so when I’m done, I can store it in a small closet.
I know others have commented on the battery life – honestly, that may be an issue if I lived in a home with lots of rooms to cover. But I think it’s perfect for apartments. I can vacuum my bedroom multiple times before I have to recharge it.
Anyways, I do think it’s worth it. It is pretty expensive, but so far it has been worth every dime. My parent’s Dyson vacuum has lasted decades… I hope this one lasts forever too.

So this is my first brand new Dyson, and my first battery stick vacuum. I got it on sale, which is the Only reason why I bought it. I have 4 kids, 2 dogs (one of which is a German shepherd), and a cat-so Tons of floor debris and dog hair everywhere. This vacuum is Great, IF you are able to vacuum one floor of your home in 10 minutes. I let this charge for 24 full hours right after I opened it, took my time vacuuming because I waited that amount of time, and got my kitchen and half the dining room vacuumed and it died. So I let it charge for 2 full days, made sure everything else was cleaned and tried to go through my downstairs fairly quickly with the vacuum, got the kitchen, dining room, living room (left out the couch), and it died in my foyer. My house is NOT large, probably 1900 square feet total including a second floor and a finished attic…. Hopefully they will improve the battery at some point, I have a shark hand vacuum that will last for hours fully charged. I’ve had to use that to vacuum my entire house before, as I’ve gone through 5 vacuums in about 5 years. Like I said, dog hair and kids. If your going to invest in this vacuum I would maybe wait to see if they improve the battery first. I like this, it’s just that the battery sucks.

Not having to worry about cords is great. Not sure why I didn’t upgrade to one of these sooner. The suction is way better than any other vacuum I’ve ever had. The battery is short (maybe 15 min) on “max” suction but if you just pick a room or two to do per day then this is quite manageable.

Love Dyson, but the battery never lasts long enough to vacuum my house. The small brush doesn’t work that great. Would be good to have a light on it. Love that it’s small, not heavy or cumbersome and rechargeable. This is my 4th Dyson. Customer support is horrible. I bought a vacuum i thought was similar to save $200 and I ended up buying a Dyson anyway because it works so well.

After going through many different makes of vacuum cleaners, I have finally found one that works for the fur of our long-haired dog. I had heard how great the Dyson series of vacuums were, but was always put off by the cost. Finally, after being frustrated by other brands which were effective for a period, but then became more useful as doorstops than as a cleaner, I made the decision to “bite the bullet” and spend the extra money on the brand name vacuum. The first time I used my Dyson, it picked up handfuls of fur from areas that I thought were clean. The carpets look cleaner, and hardwood floors pristine. Suction is strong even on the lower setting to make floors look like new. Emptying the canister is as easy as could be. Battery life is sufficient to clean my small home. I love that by placing the Dyson in the wall hanger it attaches directly to the charger. No searching for charging cords, or charging/change detachable batteries. My Dyson is always ready and charged whenever I need it. It is neatly tucked away, taking up little room. Being an older person, I appreciate the fact that the Dyson is lightweight and easily maneuvered. It is light enough that when the head is removed and used separately, makes cleaning our carpeted stairs easier than ever. In summary, I love my Dyson, and would recommend that the extra cost is well worth it. You will save yourself the frustration of purchasing multiple machines which are not effective. and which will end up costing more in the long-run. My only regret is that by thinking of the cost I was actually denying myself the “pleasure” of a cleaner home. I don’t worry about how much our beautiful dog sheds, and can enjoy her playful personality.
