Overall, this resin is great for quality, thus it’s 8k. I made some miniatures with this resin and was shocked at how brittle the resin is before and after being cured. carefully removing supports, you are still taking that chance that a support will break of something like a crossbow limb, tail, tip of swords/daggers, no matter how careful you are. I’m curious if mixing this resin with something else may be good for small objects like 2 other resins I use for miniatures would be wise, or if this is more for bigger prints without any fine supported pieces. Still giving it 5 stars because of quality, adhesion and so on.

Having printed a few figures with this resin, I can say it works great in my Elegoo Mars 5 Ultra. No shrinkage, great adhession, and quality prints.

I’ve been using the ELEGOO 8K Resin, and the results have been amazing.
Incredible Detail: The first thing that stood out to me is the level of detail this resin produces. Paired with an 8K printer, the prints come out incredibly sharp and crisp, capturing even the smallest features with precision.
Smooth Finish: The resin also delivers a smooth finish, which minimizes the amount of post-processing needed. It’s a huge time-saver, especially for intricate models where you want a clean look right out of the printer.
Reliable Performance: In terms of performance, this resin is consistent and reliable. I haven’t encountered any issues with curing or print failures, which is always a plus when working on detailed projects.
Easy to Use: It’s also straightforward to work with. The viscosity is just right, making it easy to pour and work with, and it cleans up without much hassle.
If you’re looking for a high-quality resin that can show off the capabilities of your 8K printer, the ELEGOO Upgraded 8K Resin is a top-notch choice. Highly recommended for anyone serious about getting the best possible detail in their prints.

I switched from water washable to standard resin and decided to give the Elegoo Upgraded Standard Polymer Resin a try. It’s good, a little brittle (not more than any other and less than the water washable) so I started mixing it with Chitu Conjure Tough resin at a 50/50 mix. That combination has made these a great resin that is super tough and can handle playing with the minis I create.

I recently purchased the ELEGOO Upgraded Standard Photopolymer Resin for my LCD 3D printer, and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed. The grey color is perfect for a variety of projects, giving them a professional and sleek look.
What stands out most about this resin is its consistency and ease of use. It flows smoothly during printing, resulting in precise and detailed prints every time. The curing process is quick and efficient, thanks to its compatibility with UV light sources.
The prints produced with this resin have excellent surface finish and layer adhesion, making post-processing minimal and hassle-free. I’ve used it for both intricate miniatures and functional parts, and the results have consistently exceeded my expectations.
Overall, I highly recommend the ELEGOO Upgraded Standard Photopolymer Resin to anyone looking for a reliable and high-quality resin for their LCD, MSLA, or DLP 3D printing needs. Five stars without hesitation!

I have a Sonic Mini 4k, and bought this grey resin to try out due to it’s price point, and great print quality.
First, I want to touch on great things about this resin, and why I use it pretty frequently.
– The smell is pretty low. The smell itself is an inoffensive plastic-like scent, and is only really noticeable within about 10-15 feet of the printer. (I still have everything ventilated)
– Print quality and detail is spectacular. No complaints in quality, every print came out looking very sharp, even when I heavily overexposed it.
– Not that messy. The resin drips off of the build plate in about 10 minutes, and isn’t very hard to clean in general. The low odor helps with this step a lot.
Now to explain the 4 stars.
After doing a few prints with this resin and really getting a feel for it, I can say that I do really like using this resin for a lot of reasons, but don’t think this particular color is perfect for final prints you plan on giving as gifts, using in your table top games, or selling.
The only issue with this resin is that it struggles to fully cure on the surface, and you can be left with a somewhat soft, almost rubbery feeling print, even after extensive curing that slightly discolored the grey print. I have read that you can avoid this by curing your parts while they are submerged in water, but I haven’t personally tested this.
In contrast, the Elegoo translucent resin has a great, hard surface finish that I was expecting from the grey.
In conclusion, if you’re looking for a great go-to resin for testing out your own designs, prototyping products, or to practice printing, this is a great, cost effective resin, that I enjoy using.
If you plan on making gifts or playing with these figures, you might have better luck using a different color (As I said, the translucent has a great finish, but does yellow easily)

I’ve been resin printing for several years. What I’ve found is once I find something that processes well and makes a good finished part, I don’t change. I’ve been using this resin for about 1.5 years now. I really like it. I use an Elegoo Saturn and a Saturn 2 at the moment. This material prints fine details, supports break nicely (when I use small enough supports), and if I let the parts dry a day or two after cleaning but before support removal – the parts do not warp much at all. The cured material paints really nicely as well. This is currently my go to resin and I don’t see a reason to try anything else.
