(I played music for a living for around 15 years, and have played guitar for 30. My main guitars are a 30 yo Larrivee and a newer Breedlove. I’m not claiming expert knowledge, but I can speak with some confidence in this review)
1. This is NOT a gigging guitar. You CAN gig with it, and I’m sure lots of people will, especially in a pinch. It gets muffled with vigorous/overly-hard strumming, and the electronics aren’t exactly made for your local sound-guy to navigate around. It’d be fine for forgoing the effects and only using the line-out/peddle board, I guess… or for intimate gigs using one amp & one mic. It played passably right out of the box. The sound was bright, despite it’s size and form, and it stayed in tune. But the intonation needed tweaking and the action felt uneven and high.
2. ***I took it to my local luthier for a $45 set-up and now it plays like a much nicer guitar.***
From video reviews and my own experience, I get the feeling that ALL of these could use a truss-rod and fretboard adjustment. Considering its current $150 acoustic-only price-point, I think that’s a steal.
3. I bought this as a “present for my daughter.” In reality, I wanted a guitar I could leave in-and-around our sun-drenched house without worrying about damage & warping. It lives outside of its case (which is a good case, btw), mostly on the living room couch. We have floor-to-ceiling windows with a LOT of direct sunlight and this puppy doesn’t flinch. It stays in-tune.
4. It doesn’t feel all that small, especially if you have experience with electric guitars.
5. I’m especially tickled with the on-board effects and amplification. I’m not going to lie, I think it’s an extremely clever way to reel new-players in, especially kids. The main presets are straight amplification, Reverb, Delay, Chorus… but you can download an app and open up a pandoras box of effects that are pretty straightforward.
6. All in all, I think the value is definitely there for both versions of this guitar. I chose the acoustic-electric one because I like being able to play/write with those effects without having to plug in anything. The USB-C charging port is extremely convenient. And I don’t find myself worrying about damaging it, even with the kids knocking it around.
7. I think this is a PERFECT gift for kids who are interested in starting to play. It is very affordable, and when/if they do lose interest, you have a 1/2-sized juggernaut that can’t be killed, plays well, and doesn’t takeover whatever it’s resting on.

I’ve been playing guitar off and on for nearly 50 years and mostly on for the last 20 years. I own 6 acoustic guitars including my square neck resonator, as well as 3 electric guitars (including my hollow body jazz box), and have owned other guitars in the past including a $4,000 Santa Cruz acoustic and a ‘71 Les Paul gold top that I sold when I was a broke student in my early 20’s. My other primary acoustic-electric is a custom hand-made acoustic guitar with beautiful high-end tone woods and an expensive Anthem pickup system. So I had reasonable expectations for an acoustic-electric guitar that cost barely over $200 delivered to my front door.
This guitar is super nice for what it is. It looks very cool, the one piece, cast design is very attractive, well-manufactured and should be extremely durable. Three times so far I’ve crammed it in crowded over-head airline luggage spaces (I should have but didn’t pack any clothes in the case around the headstock or over the strings or bridge) with no problems whatsoever. It is light and small and comfortable to hold and play. The case is very nice, too.
The on-board effects are great and indeed work great even when the guitar is not plugged in, which is super fun. The guitar has a very good sound, especially considering the size and price. Plugged in it sounds great — nothing like a toy or “travel guitar” or whatnot.
I knocked off one star because the guitar definitely needs a bit of set-up work. I changed the strings and slightly sanded down the underside of the bridge but the action is still too high (its so high that fretting the guitar or putting on a capo pulls it way sharp) and there are a few high frets causing string buzz. Since I don’t want to pay 50% of the cost of the guitar for a shop set up, I’ll bribe a guitar playing friend of mine who has the tools and the know-how. It’s playable as is, but it needs to be a bit better for me to want to play it more. If my buddy can get the action down a little while also getting rid of 90% of the string buzz, this is a guitar I’ll want to play a lot.

This is a remarkable piece of art!
Being a Semi-acoustic guitar at this cost feels like a lot but when you hold this in your hand it just fits right! This guitar is made of carbon fiber which results in a very light and durable build quality. Now, it being made of a carbon fiber and not traditional wood raises a question about the sound it generates. But rest assured that this will fulfil your need for sound as it has an inbuilt amp & speaker which enhances the sound for you.
A perfect buddy for your travel or a gathering with your friends. Fun thing to take with you anywhere with it’s high quality travel case.
If I were to relate this with another brand…. It’s Apple for guitar! With the packaging, the accessories, the quality and everything. You’ll know when you unbox one 🙂

I’ve had this guitar in and out of my Amazon cart for about six months, and I finally took the plunge! As an avid hobby musician with a few great guitars and ukuleles in my collection, I’ve always loved playing acoustic the most—but I’m not always in the mood to pull out my traditional box guitars. This one is fantastic right out of the box, which is surprising at this price point, where you usually expect to put in a little work to make it truly enjoyable to play. But this guitar? It’s perfect from the start.
The build is solid, and while it’s not a traditional wood instrument, it has a nice weight and feels like a professional guitar. The action is great, the frets are smooth and even, and the tuners are solid (though I might switch them out for locking tuners, just as a personal preference). I’ve had it for about a week, and I’m considering trying a heavier gauge string set to see if I can get a deeper tone, but that’s just me being curious.
The onboard electronics work as advertised—not a loud amp sound, but it does a nice job of enhancing your tone, making it fuller and richer. The effects are just okay, but they could be fun for a beginner to experiment with. When plugged into my amps, it sounds great—no feedback, no crackle.
Overall, I really love this guitar. I can already see it becoming my go-to for practice between Zoom calls or for taking on trips. The reviews were spot on—whether you’re a beginner or have been playing for decades, this is the perfect addition to your collection!
