The media could not be loaded.
All of the reviews online made me think this thing was going to be horrible. But I’m smarter than the average reviewer. The draw closes fine when you use the oval hole on the end to adjust the slide angle (exactly what it’s designed for). In addition, this thing is HEAVY, it’s not mdf, it’s actually laminate. Higher quality than an ikea piece but goes together similarly. The instructions are also similar to ikea so I’m not sure why people are having trouble. Heck it even comes with wood grain matched stickers to cover cam things in areas you can’t even see.

I kind of felt obligated to give this a positive review after reading all the negative ones. You should go into this knowing that it’s going to take 2 to 3 hours assembling this. I found the picture only instructions to be fine. The pieces are all labeled and identified in the instructions making it clear how it goes together. The shipping is outstanding coming double boxed and a foam layer. Some how mine came with a lamination Nick on one of the pieces. No problem though, was able to fix it with some wood glue. They even included a bag of spare assembly hardware that was not needed.
All that said, having my amp tilted up sounds very nice.

Easy build, looks great. Perfect size for my Deluxe Reverb. Also will fit Princeton size or even a Twin. It’s got a large, spacious drawer below the amp shelf. Great product.

I had an identical experience with the review above regarding the shoddy instructions and the drawer not closing. If this had been a $99 purchase from a fly-by-night outfit, I’d get it, but I purchased this because of the Fender name (I’ve purchased probably $4,000 of Fender gear, big and small, and hadn’t been disappointed until now).
I’ll add that I’m a veteran of *many* assemblies of prefabricated pieces of furniture (IKEA, Sauder, etc), including many using the same cam/lock system this uses. I knew going in that I wasn’t going to be getting an assembled stand, but I was okay with that between my experience with such products and the Fender name.
As the above reviewer notes, the “instructions” are unhelpful, relying on crude pictographs with no words (doubtless to cut costs required to have verbal instructions printed in multiple languages, although much, much cheaper products I’ve purchased have managed to avoid cutting this corner). Drawings are often not to scale, leave out information, or just seem to be mistaken (e.g., the same 2 steps of instructions are repeated on facing pages, at least on the instructions I had).
The lock/cam system falls short of what I’ve gotten from Sauder and other manufacturers. Despite diligently double checking to make sure things were screwed in correctly, the locks would sometimes not engage the cams. This might be part of the reason that, when I reached the end of the process which involves adding the drawer, it wouldn’t close completely. I thought maybe I had made a mistake in attaching the rails or something, but upon further inspection, no, it was just that the top of the drawer was hitting the front of the stand, with an overhang of at least an 1/8th of an inch. I disassembled it as much as I could, rechecked everything, carefully put it back together and . . . exactly the same issue with the drawer.
That was the point where, despite being someone who almost never returns items I order even if they end up being disappointing, I contacted Fender (whom I ordered from directly and who claim they’ll refund orders within 30 days if you’re not satisfied) to ask for a refund. I’ll update this review if/when this issue is resolved.
Conceptually, this is a good product. The execution seems to have been slovenly and with little-to-no quality control. Technically, it *will* hold an amp, but there are many other products that are A) less expensive, B) less time/labor intensive to assemble, and/or C) higher in quality (there seem to be some independent makers of amp stands on places like Etsy that I suspect will do a better job at a similar pricepoint). It’s not utterly unusable, but it *is* utterly disappointing. The fact that I had an identical experience to the reviewer above suggests that the issue isn’t that I happened to get a defective unit–it seems the product has been poorly executed. I’d avoid this unless you are purchasing it from a source that will allow easy returns.

If it came fully assembled it would be ok, but it’s sort of junky – also the foam pad did not come attached to where base of amp sits and it was all messed up looking
