I chose this FLISSA multi-tool for keeping in my vehicle as a stand-by tool when camping, hauling and for emergencies. The tool options are impressive and will suit a variety of routine and emergency tasks. Notably absent are screwdriver options often found on multi-tools as this unit only includes the equivalent of a flathead screwdriver, no robertson or phillips drivers.

Cutting tools are well-suited for camping/survival. The serrated blade is quite sharp and cuts well as is the standard blade. The scissors are surprisingly robust and work well. I especially like the wire cutting/stripping blade in the crotch of the main pliers. These are quite handy for any electrical work that the tool may be required to do.

My only complaint with this tool is that it’s limits of abuse aren’t all that high. I had used the serrated blade to cut down a very thick sunflower in the garden and the force of doing so popped the opening/closing clasp out of position, allowing the blade to swing while in use (which is pretty dangerous). I had to pop the clasp back into position with a different set of pliers. I didn’t consider the amount of force that I applied to be excessive so I’m not all that impressed with the fact that this occurred. That said, with moderate-to-light use, it’s an effective tool

It’s another Leatherman clone, but this one beats everything else in the price range. Great stainless steel quality, love the 1/4″ bit driver, all the tools lock into place with nice locking mechanism, all blades nice and sharp, precision craftsmanship, fraction of the price of the real deal. Completely satisfied with this.

I have been using this multi tool at work for about a week now, it’s no leatherman, but at 1/4 of the price (at the time of this review) I’d say it’s definitely worth it.

All of the rolls in this thing are decent except the file, that thing is rubbish. Everything else works well, the knife needed a bit of sharpening and the scissors are a bit light duty but work well. Pliers are decent and the cutters cut the steel tie wire well.

Overall this is a solid budget friendly multi tool.

It has taken several years for these imitations of the leading brand to attain quailty, but I would say that this tool does it. I have purchased it in both black and silver versions. The tool set is very good, and includes all the main tools offered by the leading brand version. The main difference is that this does not have the proprietary flat screwdriver bit holder (like Wave does) but instead has a double end bit holder with ball detent. You can purchase other double ended bits on Amazon that will fit this bit holder and makes the tool even more versatile. I don’t use this daily, so I can’t speak to durability yet, but so far I have had no quality issues with any of the tools on this, they all function well. A note to Flissa, a built in or optional pocket clip would be a good addition. All in all, this is an incredible value when compared to the current pricing of name brand, and will be a lot less painful if you lose it. Definitely recommend.

With coupon this was $26. My wave+ was $109 or 4x the price.
Fitment is good. Able to one hand blades and they are reasonably sharp. All blades and implements are correctly stamped . All locks work fine.
Finish. Not great. I immediately noticed the square edges of pretty much every inch of the frame as soon as I held it. Edges are not beveled. I cleaned edges up in about 20 minutes with a diamond stone. Much better now.
Is it durable? That depends on what you consider durable. The wave+ is not a heavy duty tool nor is this. They are both light or at best a medium duty multi tool. Is the Leatherman Wave+ better? Definitely but it cost 4x as much. This is a decent budget tool that is okay for most light duty tasks. I EDC this at work and EDC my Wave the rest of the time.

    Complaints.
Bit driver needs a magnet also
    Better finish from factory

Different and better designed than a lot of other multitool pliers I’ve worked with in the past.
There are two pivot points where the multiple tools extend from, and some of them have a bit of a locking mechanism to hold them in place once opened. That I find very useful, because you can really pinch your fingers on these tools sometimes.
The jaws of the pliers are very nicely designed for a full gamut of different possible needs and uses, including a cutter that will do anything from bone to wire to small sticks.
The tools are pretty functional too, The coarse saw will certainly cut kindling and small branches if you need to start a fire. the serrated knife which can also do sawing functions is good and sharp and works well. The file is very well made and quite effective on metal and plastics. The knife blades are all quite sharp.
A nice soft case for carrying it on your belt or just store it comes with it, and it’s a pretty well perfect fit so it doesn’t waste any extra space.
Seriously this is one of the better designed multi tools I’ve used, and the quality is more than sufficient too.

Recently, I read an interview with Mr. Tim Leatherman from 2019 in which he stated about the Leatherman clones coming from China, “The price is about one-tenth of ours, but the quality is about one-twentieth. Nevertheless, the day is going to come when the price is 50 percent of ours but the quality is 80 percent.”
Well, unfortunately for Mr. Leatherman, that day is here. The Leatherman Wave’s patent has expired, and now the opportunity for a true Wave clone is possible.
    Enter the Flissa 16-in-1 multitool.
This is the closest to a Leatherman copy I’ve ever seen, along with the Ozark Trail Multiforce, and the price is about 25% of the Wave and the quality is near 90%, at least on the particular Flissa multitool which I’ve received. Results may vary. I’ll get to the 90% in a minute.
Compared to the Ozark Trail Multiforce, the Flissa is far smoother to fold and unfold, the liner locks are much less stiff, and the Flissa features replaceable wire cutters and a precision glasses screwdriver, while the OT Multiforce does not. And the Flissa is cheaper to boot.
Now for the mandatory Wave comparison, I will admit that I no longer own a Leatherman Wave. At one point, however, for about two days, I did. I decided to return it based on the buyer’s remorse associated with paying over $120 for a single tool. Therefore, I don’t think I’m qualified to compare this Flissa tool to the Wave, but I must say that the Wave was a fine tool when I handled it, although definitely not fine enough to warrant a 4x price differential from the Flissa.
Anyhow, I digress. On to the actual tool itself.
The black coating is painted on as opposed to being oxidized black. This means that over time, the paint will chip off and the tool will be less black. Leatherman paints some of their multitools as well, such as the Skeletool and Signal. I don’t think it is a problem.
The only other problem with this tool is that if you order the black version, prepare to sharpen the serrated blade, as the blade is painted over upon arrival. This wasn’t a deal breaker for me. I can sharpen a blade if it means saving $100.
These issues could likely be avoided by buying the plain stainless steel Flissa, but I like the look of the black one better.
Those are the only reasons I would say this tool is 90% the quality of a Leatherman Wave, based on my limited experience. That, and the Wave using slightly better steel. I don’t notice a difference.
I can say for certain, however, that this is the best copy of a Leatherman Wave I’ve found so far, and while some people may deny it – probably due to the embarrassment over having spent $120 for a single tool – the Flissa seems like a very good alternative to more expensive options.
Hopefully this can be a wake-up call for Leatherman to stop overpricing their tools and start truly innovating again.

This multi tool pocket knife comes nicely boxed and in a very smart looking nylon sheath to carry and protect it. It has a good weight in hand and with 15 different attachments you are covered for most situations. There isn’t a guy or man out there that wouldn’t appreciate having something like this. It’s compact and well made and I’m impressed_i would recommend…

I was hesistant to buy this tool since there weren’t a lot of reviews. I have another similar looking Wave clone from another manufacturer that I ended up sending back.

I purchased two of the Flissa 16-in-1 multi tools at the ame time. The quality control between both tools is excellent. Both tools open to the pliers easily. The external knives, file, and saw are very easy to open with one hand. The internal tools are relatively easy to get out during first use. I would imagine that they will get even easier to open with time. One tool had slightly tighter internal tools, but I didn’t bend a fingernail trying to get the tools out. Both multi tools can be operated easily without requiring a lot of breaking in.

I am happy that I purchased two of the tools. I am keeping one, and putting the other one at my parents house for weekend fixes. I wanted a low cost tool that I can put in my pocket and fix things as I come across problems while walking around. I have multiple multi tools from Leatherman and SOG. I feel like the Flissa multi tool is an excellent low-cost option if you don’t want to spend a lot of money on a name brand, expensive multi tool. I will be recommending the Flissa multi tool to folks that want a “beater” multi tool or need a backup tool.
