We have several leopard frogs that live in our window well, they were there when we moved in and it was just barren rocks. We tried helping them escape with a ramp but they refused so I turned the space into a terrarium for them. I researched several varieties of live insect options but they were all problematic for one reason or another. I read that wild frogs won’t eat dead insects but since this was inexpensive I thought I may as well try. I’m so happy I did because my frogs eat it just fine. One of them literally sits in the food bowl half the time lol. I have now bought several different insect types and they eat them all. I’m very impressed with the amount in each container for the price. It takes a while to make a dent in the bottle. My frogs are happy 😊
Edit:
I just wanted to add a picture to show the difference the food has made in just 6 weeks. Not only have the frogs gained weight but their color and skin texture is so much better. They love this food and I’m thankful. The picture I’m adding is of the same frog sitting in the same bowl just 6 weeks apart.
2nd Edit: A couple wild five lined skinks showed up in the habitat and they eat this food too! They will grab a piece and take off with it lol. Also, there are several varieties of wild insects living in the habitat now and both the frogs and lizards still gobble up this food.
3rd Edit: A full year later and although there are now tons of live insects in the habitat for them to eat, the frogs and skinks still all love this food! Their favorites are definitely the crickets and mealworms. Also, snails DEVOUR them, Luigi gets in competitions over it, when he could just eat the snails….SMH, lol!

I was getting worried that our girl wasn’t eating much. We tried many different things and other than some veggies, she was ignoring all of our attempts. I ordered these for my bird feeding – the canister seemed convenient and I thought freeze dried would be more appealing than roasted. Unfortunately about 1/3 of the worms in the container are duds. Some are literally just exoskeleton with no “meat”, or shriveled into dark balls. The birds are still eating them, but not enthusiastically. I doubt reptiles would even eat these besides particularly piggy turtles.

Huge, the roaches are huge. I bought thinking a good snack for him but they were more like meals. He ate maybe 2 but didn’t touch the rest. They were extremely crunchy when he’d chew into them and they would break apart as they are suppose to. I don’t think he liked them.

They seem good. Dried out, doesn’t stink, seems like a great product. So far my snails hate it, though. They’ve only ever had bloodworms so I thought I’d try something different and I’m not sure if they’re being picky or just not used to it. The worms are bigger than they’re used to so I think I’m going to grind them up to much smaller pieces and it’ll be easier to hydrate them.
