I thought this because my tank looked like pea soup, I have live plants and live wood so I don’t know what happened, but I tried water changes and water clarifier and nothing worked so I bought this and put it on my marine land canister filter. I had to add a clamp to the hose from filter because the screw nut they provided wasn’t big enough to go over my existing hose. I took me a total of 15 min to get it going from box to complete hook up. By late that evening I already so a subtle difference and by 2 days later it only had a slight haze, four days later it’s crystal clear!! Definitely worth it, if your having issues but it you want be sorry

I bought this product because of all the great reviews from you tube and professionals. I like the design and how it would connect right up to my fluval fx2. To my amazement this is what I got.what is this old uvc inline clarifier yes it is new, but not was being shown on you tube and your web.how do you replace the uv lamp like the YouTube people show and highly recommend this product. Just so you know i have nowhere to hang it and to me serves no purpose.i will be sending it back let me know when the fluval inline clarifier that is shown on line by aquarium shops come out.sad you mislead people that loves your product

Worked perfectly! Tank is now crystal clear! I could barely see in the tank because of the algae bloom, the water was so green. Ran it 24 hours for a few days, and now I keep it at 4 hours a day and it stays perfect. A must have!

No matter how many water changes we attempted, the green water would not go away! We bought this and installed and it has worked amazingly! It did take a while but we used it for a 75 gallon tank. No noise that I can hear as it’s running and we currently have it on a 24 hour cycle but will be switching to lower cycles as it seems to have done the big time work and now it just needs maintenance to ensure it doesn’t turn green again. Definitely was worth the money, I would 100% purchase again if the current one happens to break down in the future. Pictures show how great this product is!

I was dealing with a really bad case of pea soup algae no matter what I did I could get rid of it. I bought the UVC as a last hope and wish I would have got it sooner! The first picture was day one of connecting the UVC to my canister and I had just done a 50% water change the second picture was only 10 days after and there was already a noticeable difference the last photo was another 10 days later there’s still a little bit of cloudiness but still a night and day difference!!! Would recommend to anyone with a larger tank to start with this to avoid the stress of an algea bloom but if you’re already in the middle of one buy it it’s worth it.
Key notes my tank is 75gal, I have the fluval 407 canister filter.

Simple product and easy to install and get set up and working. Timer is useful and easy to set and overall product feels high quality.
I had a Cyanobacteria problem in my tropical tank and it helped remove that and improved overall water clarity.
Just be mindful that it does seem to increase water temperature so you may need to adjust heater temp to allow for this. I’d recommend monitoring for a few days after install.

I’ve always had very good experience with Fluval. The products are usually well-made and do what they intended to do. The same as with this product. I usually don’t let my tank get very dirty so I haven’t really put it to the test, but the tank definitely has an increased clarity to it now that I believe is from the UV filter.

El equipo es relativamente pequeño, perfecto para ocular en el gabinete junto al filtro, lo único que no me encantó es que se batalla un poco para fijar sin torcer demasiado las mangueras, en mi caso terminé por dejarlo sin fijar, sólo que está soportado en una base para evitar que cuelgue y se lastimen las mangueras, me sirvió bastante, se ocupó para un acuario de 400lts con alga green dust y poco punto verde, tuve que apoyarme de antialgas y mantenimientos para erradicarla por completo, pero ayudó muchÃsimo desde su instalación, en mi caso la recomiendo bastante, igual depende del acuario, la situación de algas, el mantenimiento, la filtración y equilibrar los parámetros.
Según tengo entendido no se puede reemplazar la bombilla, toca cambiar el equipo completo, eso serÃa un punto negativo, pero están pensadas para durar por mucho por lo que leÃ.
