Got this for my sons birthday and by time his birthday came and we set it up it was too late to return. We got 1 single use out of it. Went back same exact day to play with it again and the poles had already broke. I tried to fix it with duct tape but it didn’t work and gave me about 20 little splinters through my fingers from I guess fiberglass poles when I tried to make it work.

Totally awesome.easy set up… Not a legal size ice hockey net or anything like that.. so our son didnt care too much for it at his superior level…but good for the backyard for the kids..and to knock around and play with others.
Nikki Gardea –
Franklin sports customer service helped quickly with an issue I had and were kind to work with. I will definitely be purchasing from Franklin again. The goal is great, too!

Kid was happy to get for Christmas

It’s not a bad goal at all. I use it to take a few wrist shots and clappers. Holds up well. I also like the fact that it’s light weight and easy to move.
Would definitely recommend.

Ordered for my 13 yo son to practice shooting over the summer. He was very excited when we opened this two days ago. Basic concept is good, but overall quality is disappointing.
1) There are no instructions for assembly. None at all. It wasn’t *that* difficult to assemble, but the pieces do need to be put together in a specific order, so we had to partially disassemble multiple times before the goal was finally ready.
2) The metal frame pieces lock together by means of spring-loaded pins that “pop” into place when properly aligned. These are important as they not only keep the pieces together but also keep them in the proper alignment (as opposed to rotating under the pressure of the stretched net). Our goal was missing one of these pins. I was able to jerry-rig it by simply popping a screw into the same place, which is okay, but not quite as good.
3) On day 2 (after less than 3 hours of use) one of the fabric “pockets” in the net that slips over the end of the frame has already started to split. It is simply poor-quality fabric that is not able to hold up to the tension provided by the tent-pole-like arms. I think I can repair this by stitching some extra fabric onto the “pocket”, reinforcing it.
Yes it is still useable, but only 2 days old and already has the damage I would expect from an entire summer of use. I am able to overcome each of these problems, but quite honestly I shouldn’t have to for a product that is only 48 hours out of the box.

It serves its purpose but kinda pricey for the product.

Set up was easy. Spent a few hours shooting around on it. Held up great. Tension rods are a good idea.
Second day setting it back up, one tension rod snapped and I had noticed the sleeve has already ripped. I guess it’s not a bad price for it but very disappointed. I would have saved for something better built.

Had this net for a couple of weeks now. Having a collapsable net for an urban life is great. This net is great for young kids and can be tucked away very easily. The net has a pocket to store the tension/tent fibreglass poles on the slipover fabric of the frame and comes with velcro strips you can use to hold things together. But we have two issues with the net.
1. The latches used on the base of the goal frame are not big enough, and when the tension/tent poles are installed the latches fail. I fixed it for a few cents by installing a fastener to hold the frame parts together instead of relying on the latches. The collapsibility still works for us, but if you need to get the net down to the size of the box it comes in (approx. 8″ x 30″ x 4″), I don’t recommend installing screws. Just return it or get the manufacturer to upgrade the latches/part, if they can.
2. It’s not a net that you want to drag/move a lot unless you pick it up and move it. If your kids have to move it a lot because of car traffic and they will just drag it out of the way, the fabric will wear out so be prepared to repair it/reinforce it before it tears.
UPDATE JULY 2023 – Three of the four fibreglass tent poles have cracked and required repair. Although we try to pick it up and move it as often as possible, the fabric at the bottom of the net is tearing and ripping. I do not recommend this net any more.

A 3 year old girl uses this. Is not rough. Doesn’t move it. And it’s snapped and unusable within a month. No way to contact. And no returns through amazon. Save your time and money and buy a different brand
P. Briggs –
This net lasted 4 days before 2 of the 4 plastic side supports broke at both ends. The plastic is far too brittle for stress they need to take. WASTE OF GOOD MONEY. DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF GARBAGE.

My son loves it ,he loves playing hockey in the garden with a tennis ball and he fires them at the goal with his hockey stick.
Alex –
Very good net, perfect size for street hockey and holds up well. Light but the speed of the ball/puck does not move it.
