NONOBADKITTY! –
I recently adoped a very shy community cat who hides under the couch, and I wanted to get her a safe warming pad to use there (something not electrical) and I bought this for her and she loves it! She naps on it almost all the time. It’s soft with a bit of cushioning, and has a warming layer inside, and she feels warm when she comes out, as opposed to when she just stays on the carpet. It’s definitely not as warm as an electric heating pad, but I wanted something safe to put under the couch which wouldn’t be a fire hazard and this works great and wasn’t too expensive.

Wow. Just wow.
My baby is nineteen. I suppose the fact he is probably going to leave me soon should have been obvious, but for reasons unknown I was in full denial of his mortality until he was diagnosed with terminal cancer three months ago.
Since his diagnosis, things have been hard. Very hard. Everything is hard. Among the many, many, difficulties is the fact that his favorite cat bed is now too hard for him to climb into. For about two weeks now his back legs have been too weak to step into things like that cat bed or his litter box (thankfully that problem was fixed with a senior box). He’d try, and he’d wind up sitting by it crying until I picked up and put inside, but he couldn’t do it himself.
I purchased this (the small ThermaNAP bed pad model) in the hopes it might be a worthy substitute for his cat bed. The price was good enough that I figured if he rejected it I wouldn’t have been out too much. I expected he would reject it. That favorite cat bed of his? It took several months of slowly introducing it to him before he was willing to even consider curling up in it. I didn’t have several months to work on this with him. But again, the price was right.
As soon as I opened the package and put the pad down on my couch next to him, he climbed right up onto it and fell asleep. He’s been rooted to it ever since, only getting up to eat, drink or use his litter box. He hasn’t so much as sniffed his old cat bed since this thing was delivered to my apartment. My only complaint is that since I bought it, he no longer sleeps in my bed with me – instead he’s fully rooted to the pad on the couch. So, I’m thinking of maybe getting a second one for my bed.
I can not overstate how much comfort this thing has brought not just my boy but me as well, because I can rest that much easier knowing he has a place he can curl up and be happy.
That said, it does make a crinkly noise. I don’t mind it because it lets me know when he is moving around, which can be a really big comfort when he’s been napping for a while and I don’t want to disturb him but I am also kind of concerned about how he’s doing? But if you aren’t nursing a terminally ill pet that noise can probably get annoying, especially in the longer term. In the circumstance I am in however I really don’t mind.
EDIT: By the time my boy died on August 8th I had four of these suckers in rotation for him, and he basically lived on them full time. The ability to machine wash them was a true lifesaver, because it allowed me to not worry too much when he peed on them as he grew increasingly incontinent towards the end. I’m planning to donate all four along with the rest of his stuff to the shelter I had originally adopted him from and am confident they are going to make some other cats really happy.

This is a really nice bed MUCH nicer than other version Ive purchased It doesn’t get the nappy icky feel to it after a while Remains soft and pretty much new looking and feeling wash after wash I do not use the dryer After washing I shake outside or over the shower if the weather is bad and air dry hanging over a chair When I needed it right away I did use th dryer on the AIR only setting and it worked well Quilted Faux Fur Reflective Bed Mat – Cream, Small I have not used other variations

My cat is completely satisfied with this bed. I move it around the house for him, so I am considering ordering a couple more. Easy to clean cat hair off of it. It’s very thin, so it’s not a big bed to trip over. It would well on chairs.

When I originally purchased this product, I thought it was a heating pad that was similar to an electric blanket, but for pets. So, to my surprise and shock (and foolishness for not reading the item properly), to discover when I opened the box, to find out it was just a simple thermal-type mat.
I was very concerned about my senior cat, who is very fussy (aren’t all cats with new items?), would give it a glance and walk away.
I sat with her for a couple of minutes to introduce it to her and she was immediately hooked. I first thought she was humouring me until I walked away. However, not only did she stay on there, but immediately went back to this mat right away after eating and now loved to sleep on this.
I was also worried about the slight crinkle-type noise it makes, however, she wasn’t phased by this at all.

I was expecting it to be more cushion-like, but it is kind of like a carpet thickness. I got the 22″ x 17″ size, and it is a good size for the area where I want to use it. There is an “interesting” loop on one side (doesn’t show on the product’s main photos. Look at my photo, it is on the right. Or, look at the product photo with Corgi, it is on the left)… which I am not fond of. But overall, it is an okay purchase with good value, and my cats like it.

Compré este producto porque mi gato solía acostarse sobre aparatos electrónicos, supongo que para buscar calor, lo cual me imagino no era nada cómodo. A pesar de que no se interesa mucho en lo que le compro (fuente de agua, juguetes, rascadores, etc.) esta cama térmica le encanta y pasa el día durmiendo cómodamente en ella. Lo recomiendo para todos los que tengan gatos.
