This case was purchased to hold a PRS SE Mikael Ackerfeldt guitar. For those who struggle to find the correct case for this guitar, this one works just fine! For the price, the case is well constructed and holds the guitar very snugly. My first week’s use with this case saw me travelling from Boston to Sydney with plane changes at JFK and LAX. Considering the rough treatment that luggage undergoes in the USA, the guitar arrived in good shape even though it was opened by the TSA along the way.
The covered compartment that separates the neck end from the body end is large enough to hold a strap, lead, picks, whammy bar (which MUST be removed in the case) and any other accessories. The inside is lined by a soft material that should not cause any scratches but there is minimal padding between the guitar and the hard shell of the case. The handle is off-center so that the case is well balanced when carrying.
Some usage notes: Firstly the lock on the case cannot be used on a plane as it is not TSA compliant, nor is there a slot to attache a 3rd party TSA lock. Combine this with the fact that the latches could easily flick open in transit, led me to cover the latches with Gaffa tape prior to check-in. In addition to this, I put a ($4 Wal-Mart) luggage strap around the case to ensure it did not open by accident. Secondly, the neck sits high in the case and is held in place by the pressure of the lid on the body. If shipping in this case, I suggest putting a towel or some T-Shirts under the neck for stability.
For day to day use, this case is more than capable of looking after your guitar and should survive most gigging transport. Be aware though that this is a tight fitting case so make sure it is not likely to get crushed.
Overall I am very happy with this purchase and recommend it to others.

La compré para mi explorer porque en el anuncio salen varias fotos que dejan claro que es ideal para esa guitarra, pero resulta que es pequeña. No se corresponde con la funda anunciada en las fotos. Se va de vuelta al vendedor. Gran decepción.

I’ve been using the Gater Guitar Case for my Fender Player Plus Precision Bass, and I couldn’t be happier with it. The fit is perfect, and I love the spacious internal compartment that keeps my earbuds and instrument cable organized. The felt lining is incredibly soft and provides excellent protection for my bass. I’ve been taking this case to gigs for several months now, and it’s stood up remarkably well, handling the wear and tear without any issues.
The construction of the case is impressive – it’s sturdy, and the heavy-duty latches work flawlessly. Considering it’s less than half the price of branded cases, it’s an incredible value. I highly recommend the Gater Guitar Case to any bass guitarist looking for a reliable and well-built case.

Awesome quality and fit guitar nicely

This is a good case for gigging around. Fit is great. Nice quality. It’s a light case. This isn’t way you want for air travel is if you are trusting other hands with your guitar. However, is you want something that’s better than a gig bag at a good price I’d buy it.

El estuche que compré deberÃa ser nuevo, pero está evidentemente usado y con daños de uso, porque el paquete venÃa bien. Lástima de estuche tan bonito. Se ha iniciado la devolución.

I ordered this for my daughter’s new electric guitar. It is a well-constructed guitar case with a hard-shell. The first one I received was damaged, but Amazon replaced it, and although the outside of the first one was severely damaged, the interior of the case was unaffected, so it would have protected the contents well. It is a little snug for her guitar (Epiphone Les Paul Traditional Pro-IV), but it fits. The hinges and closing clips are well-made and operate easily. It has 4 clips to close it — 3 on the handle side and 1 on the hinge side. The middle one on the handle side has a lock. The padding is soft, with a plush faux-fur lining. It has 2 accessory compartments — one above the head and one under the neck of the guitar. Overall, we are very happy with this case — just make sure you are careful with the measurements.

Love the case, bought it for a Fender Jazz Bass. It’s real durable, the interior is plush with extra space for your guitar strap, string winder, tuner and an xtra set of strings.

I have two of these extreme cases in my house, as I have dogs and a young kid. These are good for the appropriate guitars, but I would try to ensure they fit yours ahead of time, as they are quite large in size, though relatively thin. They seem thinner than my ESP cases that I have, but not as durable. I would consider putting an ESP case on a plane, but I wouldn’t consider this just because of the open space dynamic and slightly thinner construction and padding. But for my needs, these extreme cases are fine.
The extreme version has worked for me with:
Schecter e1
Epiphone explorer
LTD EX-7 Baritone
I would assume this would work for a Snakebyte, as well.
Has not worked for me with:
ESP LTD Arrow
Schecter Abbath (V style)

Es bonito, bueno y tal vez no tan barato pero para ser una funda estoy muy contento con ella.
