Love the split design to save window space, it fits in the window well. Instructions were easy to follow and install wasn’t too bad with just one person. It operates very quietly and cools really well.
UPS did beat the ever loving crap out of the package, broken plastic on the front as well as some bent metal in a few places and some fins damaged on the coil. I was able to get a small discount for the damage.
Aside from the damage, I love the wifi connectivity and how quiet it is. Will update if it ever fails to work.

Se apagaba despues de ~dos minutos. Sospecho que estaba danado el compresor. El vendor (Electron Mexico) en sus mensajes prometia de hacerlo bien pero a final de cuentas no quiso mandar un reemplazo.
Happy Customer –
It turned out to be a little heavier than expected and took two people to get it in the window. I have been using it for about three or four weeks and I am pleased with its operation so far. I use it in the quiet mode and barely hear it. I am using it in a bedroom that is approximately 12’X16″. We haven’t had extreme heat yet but it has done a good job of keeping the room cool. I love that it doesn’t completely block the window and isn’t a complete eyesore from the outside, especially because the window is on the front of the house. It came quicker than I expected which was a plus. I am completely happy with my choice.

I got this to replace my current window aircon in my bedroom. I sleep much better when it’s cold, but the one I had was so noisy, it defeated the purpose. I put up with it for six years, because what else was there? Well… I read an article about this unit and decided to check it out. Did my research, and compared to a Midea, got it delivered two days ago. What stands out for me with the Profile:
• Quiet! So unbelievably quiet. When set to low fan speed, I keep checking to see it’s still powered up!
• Inverter instead of compressor eliminates the “CLUNK” my old aircon had
• Easy install, just needed a friend to put it in place
• So nice to be able to still open the window
There a a couple of minor things I don’t like:
• While it’s nice that it sets low compared to other in-window aircons, it looks out of place. Esthetically strange
• I think the weather striping that is placed on the top that the window sets on when closed should be thicker. I will get some more on my own
• Same for the foam stuffing that goes into the upper sash to block airflow, bugs, and such. Not thick enough

Update again: he filter light and Wi-Fi light continue to flash. Two days ago, my husband cleaned the filter and drained every last drop of water out of the air conditioner. It is still flashing and blows air that smells of mildew. It is disgusting. We are going to Lowe’s tomorrow to buy a replacement of a completely different brand. I plan on smashing this with a sledgehammer when we return home.
This update should have been written last summer, but it is worse now, so I will give the history.
As others have stated, the lowest temp you can select is 64. That does not mean the you will get your bedroom within 5 degrees of this requested temperature. High/Cool is actually nothing more than a fan. The compressor does not kick on. To get the compressor I turn on, you have to change the setting from Cool to Dry. Now you are removing the humidity, but it was spring and not even humid. I just wanted cold air! When you switch the Cool mode to Dry, and leave the fan speed on high – not touching it…it automatically goes into a low fan speed but the instrument panel still says it is high speed. At first it would turn off by itself in the middle of the night and you would wake up in a puddle of sweat and the air being very muggy. You get up, turn it back on, but the room never cools off.
Setting up a service call was so hard to figure out. You are directed to go into the GE website and request service. There was only 1 place on the website in our area. We live right between DC and Richmond, but there was only 1 service company???!!!! I scheduled the appointment and received confirmation but it was still 2 weeks out. The guy never showed! When I went back to the website to see if I had put the wrong date on my calendar, there was a final statement input by THE SERVICE COMPANY that never showed up saying “appointment cancelled by customer “. WTH?!!!!!! At that point, my warranty literally had expired 2 days prior. I can’t stand this thing. I want to beat it into a million pieces with a sledge hammer, pack it up and send it to GE HQ. I still am receiving emails that my warranty has expired and to take out a service plan. Good luck getting someone out to even look at it.
Decided to conserve energy at night. There is no reason to have the heat pump run all night to cool the house to 68 degrees for sleeping. This unit is quiet, has an eco setting so the compressor will kick on and off. My Great Pyrenees wants to sleep in our room now that it is a lot colder! I am so happy that the temperature is more regulated too – no hot spots!

OK – less than 24 hours at this point so if something changes, I will edit my review, but over all A+ on this one. The installation was fairly easy – it does require 2 people, and if you need to get it up stairs, that definitely requires two people. The balancing act on the installation was the hardest part.
In Quiet Mode, it is dead quiet – I can hear the birds chirping outside quiet. In High Fan mode, of course it’s louder – the fan is running a lot harder. Still, better than most any other window unit I’ve seen.
I’ve not used the remote control but as I have another SmartHQ appliance from GE, I just added it to my app and that works great – I can set up a schedule and if something changes or I want to turn it on or off early, I can do that remotely from my phone.
So far, I am very happy.
Oh- and my box arrived in perfect condition and it was really well packaged inside
