Overall this is good value for a dog grooming scissor set. The set comes in a nice leather holding case, which also includes a polishing or cleaning cloth.
When I originally used these scissors to cut my dog’s paw hair, I struggled because the scissors did not fit on my thumb and finger. I’m a guy who is 6 ft 3 in and I found them uncomfortable to use. As I was about to write this review, I noticed that the plastic blue rings inside of each pair of scissors can be popped out, giving you more room for your fingers. After I popped out the little blue ring, the scissors fit on my thumb and finger much better for better grip and use.
the only downside I really see is that there is a tightening screw in the center of each pair of scissors. I had a very hard time tightening it with my fingers and I didn’t want to use a pair of pliers on it cuz I was afraid I would strip the grip on the screw.
As long as you take your time cutting the hair, you should be fine. This was my first time cutting my dog’s paw hair and he wasn’t totally keen on it but I did manage to get it done. I am sure over time as he gets more used to it it will be much easier to do.
Overall the price of the kit equals the one-time cost if you had a groomer cut your dog’s paw hair, so I think the kit is worth the price because you can use the kit countless number of times.

Decided to start grooming my own dogs, I have a golden doodle. I kind of like these scissors, but I feel like there are better ones out there. The only issue I have with these scissors is that they loosen immediately once you start cutting. You can tighten them, by turning the little blue screen on it. I think because my dogs hair is a little bit thicker, its difficult to cut. Once I start cutting I can feel it loosen and its starts to get difficult to cut, leading me to have to tighten every time. Everything else about the scissors was good the quality, its pretty sturdy.
