Whitening/Dental Health: I have been using this pulling oil from GuruNanda for the past year off and on, and I’m a big fan! Unfortunately there are times when I can’t order/access it, hence the ‘off and on’ status. This does whiten your teeth over time, but it’s not an overnight solution. Oil pulling combined with regular brushing, flossing, and water flossing has also reduced the plaque on my teeth. I actually had small chunks fall off once when I was first starting to use the product consistently with my water flosser.
Useability: There is a learning curve in my opinion with using this product. At first I had a difficult time with the texture and mouthfeel of the oil and at times it would make me gag. I could not swish it for very long, maybe a couple minutes only. Now this is a favorite part of my morning routine and I swish for 10-15 minutes without even thinking. I do this in the morning while showering, brewing coffee, or tidying up in general. Don’t give up if you don’t like the way this feels at first try! I promise you are not alone in the feeling.
Flavor/Freshness: Excellent flavor!! Sweet, herbal, minty. I totally prefer the flavor of this version with 7 essential oils over the original. This product also makes my breath feel fresh and lasts a majority of the day. If I forget to or can’t use this product for whatever reason, my teeth don’t feel completely clean.
Two more tips:
1) Do NOT spit this stuff down your sink drains. Since it’s an oil it can easily clog them. I spit mine in the trash or toilet.
2) You absolutely MUST brush your teeth with toothpaste after using this product. I think it actually mentions this on the bottle.
Overall I would 100% recommend this product to anyone looking to add to their dental health routine. I do not believe this product should replace any steps in a dental care routine such as brushing or flossing, but it can enhance what you are already doing for your health.

Well I saw the adds and the online results, so I said “OK just take a chance it might work” – so to be clear, I don’t drink coffee or smoke or any other things that cause teeth stains, and my teeth are in good shape, but I wanted to just try to see if they could be a little whiter – and after 2 weeks, I have only really noticed that my mouth just gets very oily. I do it for the recommended 10 minutes, so I’m swishing and swashing for 10 minutes and then I spit it out – and afterwards, I don’t reallly see a difference – now what I do notice is that my teeth feel a little rough, so I do the recomended teeth brushing and they do feel great after that, I can feel that they are definitely clean, but I don’t really notice a change in the shade – again my teeth are generally white, so maybe that is it, but nothing magic or amazing for me. I will keep using and doing the oily swish swash to see if there is any change after a month then update my review.
OK **UPDATE** – So after 3 weeks and needed to visit my dentist for my 6 month cleaning that has actually been more like 12 months to be honest. I was sure she was going to tell me the that I was overdue for my cleaning and she would have to work double – to my surprise, she said things like — “OK Niceeee, we doing well, things are looking good” – and honestly I can say that while I can’t seem to notice the change, people who see me say “Oh wow your teeth look whiter: – So then I started to really look and I can see – So I will update my review to a 5 Star and I am buying 2 more bottles, one for myself, and one as a gift.

I was skeptical as to how well this stuff could whiten your teeth, but let me tell you- it works!
You do need to swish it around in your mouth for as long as possible (10-15 min) to get the full emulsification effects. It can be a chore but if you’ve ever gotten your teeth whitened at the dentist and experienced that pain and discomfort, it’s a no-brainer to pick this option instead. I use it 2-3 times a week and have achieved really good results.
The taste is good, the amount that you get for the price could be a little better, but the added bonuses of the tongue scraper and the ultra soft bristle tooth brush offset the value a bit making it an overall solid purchase. I have bought this item multiple times and will continue to do so!

Pro- Slightly whitens. I didn’t notice a big difference but hey, I’m whiter than when I started.
Pro- I’ve been getting laser treatments at my dentist every 3-6 months to help me fight my gum disease. After using this once daily for 3 months and changing nothing else about my routine, my dentist saw a MAJOR improvement. I got it for the whitening but I’m buying my 2nd bottle because of the dental care.
Pro- Since you’re not supposed to spit this down the drain, I walk out front and spit it on any weeds I may have in my yard. I’m not sure if it’s the Arizona sun cooking the oil on the weeds but my spit has been killing my weeds lol.
Con- The taste makes me gag and shiver. every. single. time.
Con- Because of the taste, the length of time you have to swish this kills me. I’ve worked my way up to 10 minutes but I’m crying inside the whole time.

I used this product to try a new form of natural teeth whitening, the toothbrush is so soft and gentle on the gums and teeth. The tongue scraper was a little harsh but not too much. I will say the oil is something you’d have to get used to. I had to swish slowly and try not to think about the taste because it is very bitter and mint tasting but a small price to pay for a great result! The overall system leaves my mouth feeling so fresh especially before bed. I haven’t been using it for long and I see and feel a difference with my teeth, and gum sensitivity!
