I got these to upgrade an 95′ Korean squire stratocaster. I had to ream the holes on one side if the headstock slightly about halfway through for the bushings on mine. The screw holes didn’t line up in my case. So I plugged the old and drilled new ones. It was easy with basic tools and available youtube do it yourself videos. I’m very impressed with the function, and overall build quality. Will never have a guitar with out these in the future.

They look nice , fit perfectly without mods and the locks work well but they are super tight to turn and a bit rough feeling and also not the ratio they claim to be. Tuning is a bit of a chore because they tend to skip a tooth and can be loose a certain points. They are okay for my cheap strat copy but I would have returned them if they were for anything else. This really suprised me because I have had really good luck with all their other tuners.

I have used at least 15 of these without any problems. My only suggestion is to screw in all the top Ferrels as soon as you get them. Twice I have gotten a batch with stripped threads. Aside from that, I would rate these as good as the Fenders.

I installed these on a semi-hollow (Florentine) guitar similar to a Les Paul. They were well finished and installed easily. Though the threaded, string lock part can be screwed all the way out (and lost) and almost must be to have space for a bigger string, they do work well. Tuning stability has been very good and string changes are easy. The price is more than fair for tuners of this quality.

I purchased these to upgrade a firefly 338 and I’m overall very happy with them. First, they are a perfect drop in fit for the 338. The locking feature works perfectly on all 6 of the tuners I received. I’ve seen some people say they have problems with one, but I did not have any issues. The actual tuning/gear ratios seems to work pretty well and I’m able to do some very fine tuning with these. One thing to note, you may need to tighten the screws on the actual tuning keys. When I first installed them they were a little too loose and the tuning didn’t hold as well. After carefully tightening, they are holding better.
For the money, these are really good. Are they as good as teh Fender locking tuners I installed on a strat? No, but at half the price, they’ve a very solid upgrade for an affordable guitar. One last note, if you’re putting these on a firefly, go ahead and upgrade the nut as well. I know FFs say they come with bone nuts, but I found the nuts to be a problem on the 2 FFs I have and replacing them dramatically improved the tuning. If you’re going to the trouble of replacing the tuners, go ahead and deal with both.

Works as should. Good quality for price

The fit and finish on these tuners is excellent. They lock well and have held tune. The only issue I have is one or two of the tuning keys have rough areas of travel where they aren’t as easy to turn. I’m hoping some WD40 in the joints will fix this. Other than that they are as good as much more expensive tuning machines.

I used these on a Tele-partscaster I built this year. Installed easily in the 10 mm holes, I’ve used Guyker locking tuners on two other guitar builds, and they have done the job without issue. I think that Fender factory lockers, Hipshots, some other big-name tuners might be better somehow, but I keep being attracted to the Guykers based on price and my good experiences. I’m not convinced that locking tuners are better than standard wrap-around tuners (I’ve used standard Guykers on some guitars in the past, they were good, too) but
when they are priced right, I’ll get them.
They look good, finish holds well, smooth operating. Get some!

Una de las guÃas para atornillar venÃa mal y no se podÃa atornillar. Algunos materiales son de calidad pero otros son muy malos.

Starting with the 3rd string and going up to first string, these “locking” tuners wouldn’t even grab the string when srewed all the way in. The string would just slide right back out. I guess you get what you pay for. They were completely unusable and now are in the recycling bin. I bought some Gotto tuners and they work like a charm.
