I normally do not write reviews for things but here is what I would say about this product. First I have a cast iron pan I use on an induction burner. Issue is it shut off and the heavy pot is really tough on the surface of a glass top, which is why I used induction cook top with cast iron. I did a search for cast iron skillet, of course I had tons of matches of items that are skillets made of aluminum or treated non stick cook ware, but this claimed to be cast iron. After delivered it is a true heavy duty cast iron tray.. I seared a steak, which yielded the best flavor yet of all the steaks I’ve made. I long been looking for a product like this but could never find one made of actual heavy duty cast iron. This think is big enough to cook bacon without having to cut slices.. more than one steak without it crowding the pan this was by far amazing, just the heating element holds up a long time, as I know the cast iron will ! First time clean us was cake. I was able to use a silicone spatula while it was on with some water and it drains straight into the drain cup, and just like that seasoned and ready for tomorrow. Great for those on a Carnivore diet. Great flavor.

First I want to acknowledge the other reviews saying the corners potentially running cooler. I have not experienced that and cast iron will retain heat so if you are experiencing that, give it some time to absorb more heat and it’ll be even heat. Also saw someone mention the heating element turning off then back on and burning their food. I have not experienced that either. It turns off to make sure it doesn’t surpass the heat you put it at due to cast iron being able to retain heat so well. Maybe they got a defective product. I’d return mine if I dealt with that. This is the first product of it’s kind from what I’ve seen. I’ve been looking for something electric that uses cast iron for so long. All the griddles, paninis, etc all have PTFE or PFOA. I’m not really a fan of the copper coated either because it’s still aluminum base. So I was excited to see this product but also expected some type of defect or problem due to it being a new product. To my surprise, it has been great and since I’ve got it, I have been using it nonstop. I’ve made burgers, sandwiches, pancakes, eggs, and toast on this griddle. It is amazing and consistent. I highly recommend it. I have a lodge griddle for the stove top but that one is a bit awkward when needing to use 2 heating elements on the stove. This one is a good size and convenient. I’ve bought some accessories for it like a stainless steel griddle dome by Expert Grill which covers most of the griddle and kind of doubles as a griddle cover. Blackstone silicone 6 egg ring mold which fits perfect. I wanted to be able to use this for sandwiches so I bought a Blackstone extra large griddle press which is 10 x 10, heavy, and fits perfect for pressing sandwiches or burgers. The oil collector part is cool but I don’t like plastic having direct contact with hot food so I put a silicone ¼ cup measuring bowl I had that fits in that plastic compartment and now any oil can just drip into the silicone bowl instead of the plastic. This machine is great overall.

By far my favorite griddle! The cast Iton plate holds up to metal utensils and a food scrapper. The top is removeable fir easy cleaning. Heat evenly. It is smaller than I thought I will say but other than thay its great!

The griddle holds heat and distribute the heat evenly. If you follow directions about oil, nothing sticks! Great for pancakes, French toast and general griddle use. Will be trying hash browns and such later. Cleans up very easily.
Malor –
The temperature uniformity is slightly off; the far corner away from the drip tray seems to run a little cooler than the rest of the grill. However, in general, it’s very easy to cook on. Doing a quick scrape and rubdown with salt is easy, as is emptying the drip tray. However, if you need to do more of a scrub clean, the iron is very heavy, and rather hard to maneuver around a sink.
Totally worth the tradeoff of avoiding Teflon, however. Teflon (or any current nonstick, AFAIK) wears out over time, simply by being exposed to heat. It slowly breaks down, and leaves residues in your food. A well-seasoned cast iron surface isn’t quite as nonstick, but the only thing it adds to your food is iron, which is often good for you.
It will be a little sticky at first. This is a preseasoned grill, but factory seasoning is minimal, probably the least amount they can do to keep it from rusting. You’ll need to cook with it for a month or two before getting a really slick surface.

Cast iron, with electric controls for heat PLUS a drip hole and easy empty compartment? This thing is a dream to use, just make sure you season it properly. Easy to clean, adjust temperature, and pancakes come out perfect every time. We love it!
Prakash –
Excellent griddle, easy to maintain and with minimal care (clean any sticky food while hot and once it cools to 200F, pour some water and it cleans real well and easy), the surface is as good as nonstick, without any artificial coating. Holds temperature well and cooking area is enough for a family. Chicken comes out delicious every time – been using it almost every weekend for a few months now. Very satisfied.

Replaced griddle that came with stove. This griddle is much better and easy to cook on and clean.
