I’m a graphic and industrial product designer, so I’m a bit of a design snob. 95% of watches out there suck in terms of design aesthetics and build quality for the money. This is at the very top of the 5% that does not suck in my professional opinion. The numeral font is very gourmet and rare. The band is a little stiff at first because it’s super thick, high quality stitched leather like a fine horse saddle. But it breaks in like a baseball mit after about a week. Keeps fantastic time. Only list 2 seconds in a week. Stellar design, great build quality, and Swiss movement for 500 bucks? It’s a no brainer.

Great classic. Automatic with manual wind and hacking. Silver dial is a real stand out. 100m water resistance should get it out of trouble when the moment requires some water dispersion. Wears comfortably with the Khaki Field being very thin and just the right size for modest wrists. The lume is rather weak and runs out much faster then a Seiko watch or Omega but almost on par with Glycine watches. Unlike the black dial variant of this watch (which I also have in my collection) only the pips outside the numbers are lumed rather than the whole numbers themselves, this is understandable as the luminescent paint would have made the numerals almost invisible on the silver dial had they been painted. All in all a great little watch with a fantastic work horse movement from ETA.

Very solid automatic watch, especially for the price. I’d been going back and forth between a Tissot, a Seiko, a couple of Hamiltons, and some vintage watches, but ultimately this was my favorite.
Feels nice on the wrist-not too heavy, but feels substantial. The leather strap is incredibly nice, and should wear well. You can see the movement through the clear caseback. Kind of a gimmick, but it’s cool to see regardless. The ETA 2824-2 movement you’ll see on a lot of different watches, but it’s well-respected and keeps decent time. In the week I’ve had the watch, it’s only been off +/- 10 seconds.
Would buy again from this dealer, and may buy another Hamilton. As far as luxury watches go, it’s a far cry from a $5,000 Omega, but if you can’t afford that, then this Hamilton will quench your thirst for a quality automatic watch.

This watch is pretty stunning in person. I gravitate towards silver dial watches. I agree with another review that it’s a little difficult to read in low light, but I’m so happy with it despite this. I have this same watch with a black dial for night. It feels like a very high quality piece.
The contrasting silver on the dial looks fantastic. The quality and craftsmanship are beautiful. I respectfully disagree with any complaints about the band. Like the leather of high quality boots, it takes a little time to mold to your shape. When it does, it’s very comfortable and is holding up great. I wipe my watches and bands down real quick with a microfiber cloth after wearing. I’ve also tried this watch with an authentic Hamilton black leather band and it’s even slightly more stunning.
I’m about 6′ and 175 lbs, and my wrist is 7.5″ around. This band fits me perfectly. I use the center of 7 holes. I think the 38mm case is perfect for my size, and I can even pull off a 40mm case. Anything larger than that on me screams “look at my watch” and that’s not my taste.
I got tired of batteries going dead in quartz watches, and I tried a light powered watch with bad results. I’ll suggest you not try to charge your light powered watch too close to a halogen bulb! This automatic movement watch seems right for me. It does no harm if it winds down completely after the 80 hour reserve expires, and you simply power it up when needed again. And it’s pretty cool that you continue to power it as you move.
I received a Hamilton watch as a gift from my parents more than 30 years ago, and it’s still running flawlessly. The brand has a really cool history with ties to railroads and aviation. I believe you get excellent value for the money. Mine runs about 3 seconds per day slow, which is great for an automatic. The watch I received is obviously 100% authentic, and arrived in brand new condition with all the original factory packaging intact. There are a couple of simple rules to follow when setting the watch, so make sure you read the manual all the way through.
If properly maintained, this watch should last a lifetime. Like a high quality pair of boots can be resoled, this watch can be reconditioned by Hamilton as needed.

I just received this handsome Khaki Field watch from Fresh Pearl. It was an anniversary present from my wife. It’s absolutely stunning in person. I also just called Fresh Pearl with a question about the warranty. I had all my questions promptly and politely answered. Very satisfied customer!

I’ve very very happy with this watch. I wanted a dressy piece for my collection without being “formal”. This fits the bill perfectly. The traditional field watch shape keeps it from being too fussy, but a great mix of metal finishes on the case, and especially the watch face, elevates it from more casual and fashion styles.
The band is good, though stiff. I will likely replace it with something softer.
The lum on the hands and dial is above average. It is sparingly applied, making it less bright than you’d expect for a dive watch. It is appropriate for the design, and I’m happy with it.
There is a display case back, which is always a feature I enjoy. The rotor is signed, with a logo cutout and two different brushed finishes. Aside from a few gold-plated gears, the remainder of the movement is quite plain, without additional decoration. The watch is designated “Swiss made” on both dial and case back, meaning both the dial and watch are assembled in Switzerland (among other requirements)
The face is great. Easy to read while retaining the field watches traditional smaller 24-hour scale below the main numerals. The center is sunburst finished with a fluted, circular finish for the numeral track.
All in all, it’s a great watch. It feels like it punches above its price point; I look forward to wearing it often.
