When I received this item, it was loose in a box with other items that I had ordered. It had a very strong chemical smell, like some kind of cleaning products, and more importantly, there was a dirty price tag sticker from something that I didn’t even buy stuck in the “mane” (fuzz) of the unicorn.
I was able to remove the sticker, along with some of the mane unfortunately, and I wiped the toy down with a fragrance free baby wipe. I let it air dry in a sunny spot before giving it to my cat. He’s a kitten, and this toy is quite large, and I think he’s a little bit overwhelmed by it. But I suspect that in time he may find it quite fun to play around with… once he gets bigger.

I don’t usually leave Amazon reviews but I had to because this is my kitty’s new favorite toy!! He’s been play-biting and rabbit-kicking our hands and ankles a lot and we have been struggling to train him that biting us is NOT playing. I read up that it could be that we don’t have the right toys for him to get that out of his system, so I decided to try something bigger & thicker (that kind of resembles the size of our hands/arms, lol). He prefers this toy over our hands now!! Any time he tries to play-bite us, we say no and turn him to the toy and he’s really catching on – and LOVES it! It crinkles and has the bell on the end, and seems to be SUPER durable even with his sharp little teeth. He rabbit-kicks with it, which I think is because it’s longer than any of our other cat toys. Most cat toys are so tiny and he can’t attack them like he can with this one!! If you’re having the same issue, I 100% recommend trying this toy. (My guy is only 3 months old so he can’t smell catnip yet but still loves it. If your cat reacts to catnip I’d imagine they’d go even crazier over it!) Btw – we got a pink one, not purple, but still a super cute toy!

I just received this today, and my cats love it! I had to purchase another because they each wanted to play and cuddle with it (I misread the product information and thought it came with two). I’ve only had it for one day, but the toy appears well-made and has many attractive features that cats love. It is also much bigger than I expected, which was a nice bonus. Worth the purchase for your favorite feline friend!

It says colors may vary, but its means you could get a complete different size, shape and colour. I ordered a banana shape, and got 15″ long blue glittery shark. Nearly as big as the poor cat.

I could upload videos/pictures of this toy being played with as a lot of my 13 cats love it. It’s big enough for them to really wrap their paws around it and bunny kick it and hard. Rocky loves the ribbons at the bottom. It’s affectionately known in my house as a ‘manicorn’ as Rocky is the number one cat who just loves this toy. He darts across the room and attacks it and for him having a heart condition, any joy I see with him playing, is well worth anything it costs. Ashen is the cat in the second picture and he loves it when I wiggle it and he can attack it as it moves. Angelica is the fourth cat in the pictures. She loves to groom it. Daisy was really bunny kicking it in picture 5. Crimson thought it made an excellent pillow in picture three.
Overall wonderful silvervine toy for cats who just love to bunny kick and want something they can really wrap their paws around.

When you order the animal kicker, you don’t get to choose which animal you’ll receive–bird or shark. I got the bird, and you can see from the pictures that my cats absolutely shredded the “wings”, not to mention pulling off the faux sequins on the wings. They shredded the wings so much that the crinkle plastic was exposed–and it’s exactly the kind of plastic one of my cats loves to eat. I ended up having to cut the wings off completely (as seen in the last picture). I wish I had ordered two unicorns instead of getting one unicorn and one animal kicker. Also, the unicorn has a bell on it, the bird does not (I don’t know about the shark). Both my cats love these toys–a whole lot better than the Yeowww! toys I got for them (banana, rainbow, pollock) and the main body of the Hartz kickers holds up very well. Wholeheartedly recommend the unicorn; recommend with caution the animal kicker.
