I usually get the more expensive “big brand” ones. I tried this product to help save money this season. This product didn’t help my dogs or cats. This is This first season at our home where fleas were even a problem in the yard. It may not be the product could ve the mutant fleas. Lol, even kennel dip isn’t keeping the bugs off this year.

I like to regularly bathe my dogs once a month, and I remove the flea collars when I do this. However, these collars are extremely difficult to get off and on in my opinion. I suffer from carpal tunnel in my right arm and I’m right handed which makes it more difficult. I have a little dog with a heart condition and I feel like this really stresses her out when I struggle to take it off and back on. They seem to work okay as far as keeping the fleas away and I’ve not seen any ticks on any of my dogs which is good. It’s just the level of difficulty getting them off and on without feeling like I’m hurting and stressing out my dogs. Because of this I’m rating it a 3 stars. I feel that not only should a flea collar protect against fleas and ticks but should be easy to get off and on and not a huge issue. There’s a lot of good flea collars out there that I’ve used in the past that work great and are simple to get off and on and comfortable for the dog. I definitely would not recommend these to anyone with any type of arthritis or carpal tunnel syndrome. I myself will not be purchasing these again.

I brought/received this product on 7/I3/2020 and put in my toy poodle for (Milka,4.5 month old, 5.5 IB) about 9 days. During these few days, Milka still scratches herself, I thought this product is not working. So, i took it off and checked Milka for fleas on 7/22/2020. However, I realized my baby Milka has red dots all over her neck, chest and upper body. It looked so scary when she was wet, red dots all over her neck and chest area. It looked like the flea and ticks ate her up. I know that is not true, because I brash her everyday, with her white hair, if there is flea or ticks, I could easily see it. Plus Milka’s twin brother, Cream, was fine. I am thinking this maybe a chemical reaction from the flea collar that I put on for her. Therefore, I took It off from Milka. (My Milka is in the 2nd pic on the right). She had nice and long hair, but because of this chemical reaction, I had to cut her hair short for easy monitor of her skin ( 3rd pic). The last two pictures are Milkca without flea collar for 3 days. Her skin is much better now. I am writing this review to remind everybody, be careful with this flea collar, it may cause serious side effects on your dog.

Seemed to work great all season April the Oct. Dogs are out daily for walks in grassy park areas, primarily mowed grass and also hang out in the lawn. No fleas and no ticks. Hard frost came late and into month 8, after 7 full months of use, we did find two ticks but that was after the 7 months and maybe one of the dogs got into a thicket. Do track your wearing dates
Will purchase again. I use these types of collars for past 8 years and they do a great job for my dogs. For regular city or suburban use, they are great.
