Perfect for what I needed! We foster dogs regularly for rescue organizations, and I bought this for one of my foster pups when he had a “date” to meet his potential new family. I took his regular collar off and put this bow tie collar on him to dress him up for the occasion, and it was a huge hit. The family thought it was adorable, and took him home that very same day! I am certain they would have adopted him without the bow tie, but it added a little sparkle to their fun as if they were getting the greatest gift of all after losing their beloved dog that was 14.5 years old 3 years ago. I would say it’s not sturdy enough to use as a regular collar with a leash (nor does it have anything to hook a leash to), but it is perfect for dressing up a dog and extremely adorable! I was also pleasantly surprised to find that it is easy to adjust to the size you need, and could fit a pretty good range of neck sizes.

Very cute! I bought it for my dachshund. He wears it all the time and looks very cute. One little note, I had to sew it on to his collar as the neck band was too big and won’t hold the bow tie up.

I bought two of these, one for each of my dogs. For some reason I thought the center would be stretchy, so I could slide it off the provided collar and put it on my boy’s own collars. Not only is the middle bit not stretchy, but it is not attached to the bow. I tried to force the bow tie off the provided collar, and the ..wings(?) of the bow tie came right out.
Because I don’t know what the words are actually called, here is a diagram.
This >+< is a bow tie
so > and < are one piece of fabric
+ is literally just a bit of sewed fabric AROUND ><.
+ is isn’t sewed to the center of ><
If you pulled from either side, >< would pop right out.
Easy fix for that problem- sew + to >< yourself.
That all being said, if you’re lazy and don’t want to do that, you can just keep readjusting >< to make it centered.
If this is for a photo shoot or something, go ahead and get them, but I wouldn’t say they’re durable, and I can’t see them holding up to my boys playing around. That being said, I’m keeping these because the boy’s collars match the provided collar and bow tie, and it’s not like these are BAD, they could just be better. I keep them on the boys with the understanding that someday, >< will be gone.
So, 4 stars.

I’ve purchased a lot of bow ties for my dog. He sports a new one every month. This one, however, lasted merely days. Initially, the bow fabric slipped out of its loop the very first day. My dog is a couch potato. It wasn’t a result of him being hard on it. No big deal, I hot glued it together. Not two days later, the loop broke off. Sure, I can hot glue and fix it again, but that’s not really the point. It’s just a poorly made product.
