I purchased this to add some decor to my place of business while not taking up too much space. Aesthetically it is quite beautiful and we get compliments on it. It is not a perfect product, but it is reasonably priced for an aquarium set that isn’t just a plain rectangular cube.
The description of the aquarium states it is 8 gallons with 2 gallons displaced by the rock background. Once you add rocks and ornaments, however, actual water capacity was about 5 gallons. Keep this in mind when stocking the aquarium with fish.
I like the concept of a built in filter to concealed it from view. The filter could be improved. There isn’t much space in the basket for activated charcoal and is a little tricky to snap off for replacing spent charcoal. The filter is coarse meaning it will not filter fine debris and uneaten food. Most effective water filters have at least a medium filter sponge or both a fine and medium one. I may end up replacing with a small canister style filter as there is no room to add a hanging one on the back because of the built in rock decoration.
It would have been nice if they included a heater in the kit that is sized properly for small tanks like this. It was tricky trying to find one that wasn’t too large or too high a wattage. I am also disappointed this did not come with a cover. Fish will jump out of uncovered tanks. I ended up having a piece of plexiglass cut by a local glass shop to solve this.
The LED lighting appears to be of good quality. Only thing that would improve the lighting is if a timer was included that turned the lights on and off automatically. The controller only appears to have preset times that have to be pressed once every day to run the lights up to 12 hours a day. An external timer can be added to fix this. The light bar does remember it’s last setting when power is turned off and back on so this solution should work.
Only one other minor item of note is because the front of the tank is curved, air bubbles keep sticking to it requiring daily wipes to clear them.
Bottom line, the tank is not perfect, but looks great.

I just set this up today and I absolutely love it so far. The background is comes with is just super convenient! The filter comes with 2 different little nozzles to put on the filter which I thought was just amazing lol. And the lights that it comes with are my absolute favorite. We actually have a bigger version on a bigger tank of ours and have ALWAYS loved this light. At first trying to figure out how to actually work the timer was a little frustrating but other then that absolutely love it! I can say the ONLY thing that I have found that is “different” or “odd” or even maybe “dislike” about this tank is that the background does make it a little hard to smooth your gravel out. Of course the tank is an odd shape in itself lol. Not impossible to reach but definitely an odd angle you have to go in from lol. But overall the money was so worth this little pack. The packaging was amazing. Nothing came broke and everything is working. Just day 1 so far
UPDATE: ok so it’s been about 3ish months since I have had this tank. Ok let’s start off with the tank itself. It gets dirty FAST. And it’s a little awkward to put things in like a heater and stuff. Really not much room. (I know it’s an 8gallon so theres not much room in general.) At first I loved the idea of the rock wall but tbh I’ve grown to hate it. It’s just super bulky and hard to work around. And it builds up a lot of algae so it needs to be cleaned more. BUT it still looks pretty cool for a background lol. Now the ONE thing I absolutely HATED with this tank was the filter and it’s placement. If the rock wall didn’t completely surround the filter it would probably work a little bit better. But with putting it in the little cubby hole they made it doesn’t really filter the tank very well. The Valve to adjusts the flow of the filter is kinda touchy and I couldn’t really find a happy medium with it. I always had bubbles on the front of my tank no matter how I faced the tubes. Now that’s another part. The tubes get so dirty so fast and it messes up the flow for the filter. So I ended up taking the filter out and replacing it with a sponge filter. It takes up a little bit more room (I couldn’t fit it in the cubby) but it has filtered the tank so much better. So I now have a little cubby that my fish uses to hide. Couldn’t put the heater there because it does not heat the whole tank. Even though it’s open about half way up the heater.
All in all I still like this tank. I’ve ran into a few snags here and there but honestly that to me is normal for any new tank. I wish they would’ve just had the tank and lights and I wish they wouldn’t have built to rock wall all the way around the filter.

Love this tank. Comes with everything you need except a heater. Really easy to set up and oh so pretty. Gorgeous addition for any nano tank enthusiasts. I have my Betta, a few dwarf crayfish and one snail. Added live plants, rocks and cholla wood. Even have greens growing on the rocks. Beautiful to look at and love the sound of the waterfalls over the rock background. If I had to find a complaint, it would be that it doesn’t have a full cover, and that can be worry some with a Betta. Highly recommend this tank though, it really is a conversation piece, especially with all the choices of lighting.

I had gotten this tank as a back up because one of my fish had babies. I really love it. It’s very beautiful. I like the background and I love the use of the different lights you’re able to use for the day or the night time. the timer comes in handy as well.
