I have two cats and two kids and was looking for an easier way to vacuum round the high yield areas of the house at night. This little vacuum has not disappointed! It carries the bulk of the weight closer to the ground so it feels light weight and is easy on my wrists. Its rolls really well around on different surfaces and around corners. The added lights on the front help at night to spot the cat fur and crumbs! Hair can wrap around the brushes underneath, but I try to remove those about once a week with pair of scissors. Its an easy job and that really helps with suction power. Its also really easy to empty the canister, the dust doesn’t go flying everywhere.
The only reason I’m not giving this a 5 star review is for the little brush attachment, for when you use it without the upright stick. Its very difficult to insert into the hole at the end. Its almost slightly too large for the opening. Overall I wish I could give it a 4.5 star review. I’ve really enjoyed using this little vacuum!

I cannot say anything negative about this cordless Kenmore Stick vacuum. I bought this months ago and use it nearly every day for low carpeting, shag throw rugs, bare floors, furniture and my car interior.
The attachments are useful, it’s light-weight, the run-time is sufficient for a whole house cleaning with juice to spare and emptying out the cup is easy. I like that it has a speed setting of low or high and both speeds have a lot of suction power.
I honestly don’t know if any of the higher end vacuums can do any better than this one because this is the only one I’ve purchased… but like, what else is a vacuum supposed to do? If there is one out there that can walk my dog or go buy milk, well then, I’m sold. But till then I know I made a very good choice in purchasing this Kenmore DS1030 Cordless Stick Vacuum. It made cleaning very easy for me and I did not pay hundreds for it.

Easy to take apart for thorough cleaning
Sometime after vacuuming, debris stay in the brush area and fall out after the power is turned off, so I have learn to not turn off the vacuum until I get to a dust bin, and turn it off and shake off the remaining debris, then from time to time, take everything apart and give it a good clean
The fitting works but feels clunky when I put things back together, and I feel I need a little bit of brute force, not the nice click and fit feeling
So overall, pretty good after I learned the little tricks, so 4 starts

I absolutely love this vacuum! I have bought many different ones and glad I found this one. I was looking for something that was cordless and easy to move around and especially to get my stairs. I live in a townhome with 3 levels (hardwood floors) so having a big and heavier corded vacuum was such a pain but with this vacuum it’s so easy! I vacuum multiple times a day as I have toddler+baby and two pets.
The suction has two settings, both work good. I never have an issue with the battery life but I do vacuum everyday. Easy to clean and it came with an extra filter! Also comes with the extra handheld tools to pick up what the upright can’t reach. I would definitely recommend (I would even buy a second vacuum!)

This thing works extremely well, is always charged and runs a fairly long time. Perfect for bare or hardwood floors. Probably not what you want for deep pile carpets but that is not what it is designed for. We use it on hardwood and tile floors exclusively and the thing is amazing. So convenient, no more getting out the 25 foot central vac hose! I HIGHLY recommend this product.

I love my Kenmore stick vac. I’ve had it for about 6 or 7 months and use it regularly. I get about 25 mins out of the battery. Long enough to do a decent vacuum of my townhouse. It has powerful suction and can pick up most things. It is fairly loud, but it’s a vacuum, what do you expect? I use it both on bare floor and low pile rugs and it works well. The handvac easily detaches and it can be used with the included attachments. I LOVE that the base is the charger. So, the vacuum sits on the base to charge. It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for.

My old Shark rocket finally died so I was on the hunt for a new vacuum. There were some things I didn’t love about my rocket though, so I opted for a regular upright bagless vacuum this time around. The problem with that, for me, is that my place is a bit small, and it’s difficult to get into smaller nooks and crannies. Oops. My bad. It’s great for a deeper clean, but I needed something small and easy for the day to day. So I got this Kenmore vacuum as well.
I have a few long hair cats, so believe me, there is ALWAYS something to clean up. I usually vacuum daily, or close to it. What I love about this vac is that it can be used seamlessly from hard floors to carpet. I can clean the whole house with it. It doesn’t kick back litter and dirt and things on hard floors like some vacuums do. The hand vac detaches easily to use on furniture, stairs, etc.
It’s also freestanding, which is one thing I hated about my rocket–it always had to be leaned up against something. This one isn’t top heavy like other stick vacs. I love how it stores upright neatly, and charges on the dock.
It takes a little bit more effort to push on carpet I noticed, because I don’t think it’s self propelled like larger vacuums. However, I can actually use this on my washable area rugs; most other vacuums suck them up into the brushroll.
Speaking of brushroll, what caught my attention was the hair cutting feature on this one. Love that.
The power switch is a little stiff and difficult to move positions, but I’m hoping that gets better with time. I’ll also say that emptying the dust cup is a little futzy. You have to detach the hand vac and remove the dust cup from that. So I wish that was a little different, but I’m also not going to take a star off for it since it’s so easy to use otherwise. It also comes with an extra washable filter, rather than having to buy one separately, so that’s nice.
If you have carpet, I don’t think this is a replacement for the kind of deep clean you get with bigger, beefier vacuums, but it’s great for daily maintenance, getting the surface stuff. If you have more hard flooring, you can probably stick your broom in the back of a closet and forget about it. I find this to be much more effective and efficient.
All in all, I’m very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to others.

Easy to assemble with very good instruction manual. This solid machine works well, easy to use, helpful light to show where you are vacuuming, strong suction on high speed. Low speed is good for oriental & fine rugs. Sits in charging base which holds attachments. Wish it was hangable to use less floor space when stored/charging. I am happy with this purchase & recommend it as the best rechargeable, easy to use stick vac I have ever used. Sleek, compact, & versitile.
