I love the design of this brewer. The side reservoir is so easy to lift up and refill and the look is sleek and elegant (something missing in many Keurig models IMHO). Note this machine doesn’t have an on/off function. It starts up when you lift the lid and shuts off after 5 minutes of inactivity. Different from the other Keurigs I’ve owned, it doesn’t take the minute or so to heat a reservoir of water – it seems to heat water instantly on demand. That’s a great feature. I’ve used it with both the reusable and disposable K-Cups. Lots of options to tailor the brew cycle to your own preference (temp, strength, volume). Highly recommend.

I have owned 6 different Keurig coffee makers over the years. This is the only one that I would never recommend to anyone. Have had it for 4 months and now its at the point where I have to clean the needle every two weeks in order to brew a cup of coffee. Im not sure why the design for this one causes so many problems, but the needle becomes clogged with coffee grounds very frequently, resulting in “error” code while brewing, which causes a blow out of the K-cup pod. That alone is a deal breaker. Going to trash this one and go back to an older model since the return period is over.
Secondly, this machine connects to the internet and a Keurig app. The app is basically useless, but the machine “reads” each pod before brewing, which takes a good 5-10 seconds before you can brew a cup of coffee. I dont know why the brew would be any different for your average coffee pod. My guess is Keurig is just tracking what k-cups you buy, so they can market them to your email.
Overall, avoid this machine and save yourself a ton of time disassembling and cleaning it every 10-14 days.

I used to use a Keurig machine years ago but gave up pod based coffee makers for making pour overs. Weighing the beans, grinding for each cup, perfect temperature water and proper pour technique. That process definitely makes the best coffee possible, but I end up wasting beans as they go stale before I can use them all, and sometimes washing the dripper and stuff gets tedious when busy. Then I had a Keurig coffee while visiting someone and I was surprised how good it was. So I decided to get the newest version for when I just need something decent, very quickly.
The multistream feature is a good idea to saturate the beans at the beginning, and extract more flavor throughout the process. I don’t know how the strength settings work but that is good, as well as the temperature options. If you like really strong coffee there is a limitation. These pods aren’t large enough to hold the amount of grounds needed for a strong 12 oz brew, even at the strongest setting. For my preference, some pods can make 8oz quite well but some others I only use 6oz water and the strongest setting and the coffee is awesome. Pretty impressive for something that takes like a minute or so. And I’m not throwing away stale beans. And you can have several varieties around so you’re not drinking the same flavor everyday. The machine itself is very nicely designed and rivaled the Nespresso machines I’ve had in the past. The screen UI is good and super intuitive to use. It’s amazing how it can start brewing in seconds after opening the pod holder thing.
Ultimately, they’ve improved everything about the system and it actually makes really good coffee, rivaling a hand crafted pour over, but for me a smaller cup. Super fast and convenient. It’s worth having in the kitchen for sure. Recommended.

We’ve had the Classic and Elite Keurig. This one is the best we’ve had so far in my opinion. Here’s some thoughts that may help if you’re trying to decide between Keurig models that I wondered about because it can be overwhelming trying to read each models options.
I honestly don’t think we need the WiFi option on it, but if your a person that likes to start your coffee from your phone or tablet while you’re siting on the couch or in bed then this would be a neat option for you. You can do different settings in the App as well. If that doesn’t matter to you then I’d think about choosing the K supreme plus (without the ‘smart’ option) that has all the same options ( I believe) without the WiFi and costs less.
The options on this model are more than we’ve had on previous Keurigs:
1. You can save personal favorite settings and just press that one button each time instead of choosing the strength and temp each time. I believe there’s 3 favorite settings you can save for 3 people or 3 options .
2. More options for the temperature (see the video)
I put the thermometer under it while it was running at the hottest setting. ( see pictures) The hottest it got up to was 182 while dripping, the cup of coffee right when it stopped filling up was about 173 degrees . For us that’s pretty hot and does get hotter than the Eilite we had previously.
3. More options for the strength (see the video)
4. 5 prongs vs 1 puncture the pod to get more flavor out of your coffee which I did notice.
5. WiFi settings if that’s something you’d like to have are pretty neat. You don’t have to be connected to WIFi though to use the Keurig it’s just an extra option.
6. A lot Quieter than the other Keurigs we’ve used .
7. It tells you if a used pod is in the machine so you remember to take it out and not reuse it.
8. It takes a picture of the coffee pod you put in and sets the machines settings to where it feels you’d get the best cup of coffee from that brand or type of pod you put in and you just hit start. ( Or you can bypass it and choose what you want)
9. The handle on the water side is awesome, much easier to take off and on to fill up. It hold just a little more water than the elite but looks smaller.
10. It is a slimmer shape and doesn’t take up a ton of room. It’s kind of an L shape , you can’t move the water to the back like on another Keurig model but the way it sits is great for us & still takes up less room than previous models.
11. This may seem little but it has a spring to the top which makes it nicer and easier to open than previous keurigs.
The time it takes to fill your cup is a little longer the stronger you go but that’s a good thing in my opinion it just means it’s letting the water soak into your pod to get more flavor from your coffee.
People mentioned it splatters out of their cup when it’s filling their cup up so I was worried about that. I did notice a few little splashes with some dots of coffee on the counter which isn’t fabulous but it’s really not much at all to wipe it down each time. It’s really very very little.
This Keurig model we feel is the best one we’ve gotten due to the extra options , doesn’t take up as much counter space and looks very pretty in my opinion…it’s not plasticky looking like the previous ones , the top part is a pretty shiny black metal and feels heavy.
We bought this on sale when Amazon was having their prime day deals and very happy we did. I still think it’s worth the normal price even not being on sale.

I have to admit that I am a Nespresso girl but wanted a single serve machine for my trailer and decided to try out this machine. I like my coffee fresh and hot and this seems to suit my needs. I also like the fact that I am able to buy coffee just about anywhere.
I did buy this from Amazon as it was 100.00+ More on the Keurig website.
