This feeder is awesome! I’ve gone thru countless mesh feeders and this is by far my favorite. And the birds love it too! One the best features is that the squirrels haven’t destroyed it yet! It’s made very well! It has two mesh plates that feed down inside and are strong enough so far that the squirrels haven’t eaten thru them. That’s always been a problem with other mesh feeders. There’s a strong cable on the top, when hung, secures the opening so the squirrels can’t get into it. I was so tired of having to fill the feeder everyday because the critters kept emptying it. It’s was also gets costly! A month after putting it up, the squirrels have seemed to on from it and the finches can finally eat in peace. There’s a nice stoop on the bottom that spins out for them to sit on or they can hang off the double sided mesh. The mesh stays works great at keeping the food dry in wet weather too! This is a win for the finches!

I purchased a yellow one and I love it. It’s so easy to see from my living room. It refills very easily and so far no squirrels. The structure is very good also and the wire seems very sturdy.

The sides move allowing the screens to not only be pulled up and out, but can create a gap on sides, which may leak seeds. Needs a support rod in center to brace and snuggly connect the screens.

This is a well made feeder except that can’t get the little perch to stay out. I rotate it out and the bird movement makes it go back under. I’ve tried tightening the little screw but can’t seem to make it move. Also, you lose a lot of seed as you fill it. Quite a bit comes out the holes. I do like the recycled plastic it’s made from. Very substantial.

I almost spent over $100 at a fancy store for a finch feeder set up. I saw this and gave it a try. It’s perfect. The Niger seed does not clump thanks to the open air design. Easy and practical, I just hang it on a plant hook.

Birds love it and so do I! It’s looks really nice and is brightly colored. The birds love using the little perch on the bottom and also clinging to the mesh. It took them about a day to decide that they wanted to try it out. I had to replace my old one because a raccoon took off with it.
I did feel that the machining on the slots on the sides could be better. It’s difficult to slide the mesh screens all the way down and into the bottom slot. But after a bit of time I was able to get them in there. I am really pleased with this purchase overall and so are my birds.
