Per instructions, took about two hours to install onto my 2013 Wrangler Sahara, likely less time if I was more familiar with working on cars! Straightforward bolt-on, cooler sounding post install, don’t know about incremental power since I don’t usually revv out to 5K around the city – but that’s okay since I K&N all my cars ha.
Be careful with the elbow fitting for your MAF sensor – DO NOT wrench it as per instructions, you will de-thread or snap that fitting altogether. Plumber tape it up and hand tighten is sufficient, ignore the instructions that says wrench it two turns. Do not do this lol.

However, I was blown away after taking my Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon for a drive. Not to sound too overblown, I am amazed that this is the same Jeep. I can feel the extra horsepower and torque at about 2k RPM, and on through 4k RPM the sound just gets deeper and more throaty. At 5k it’s howling like a sports car (almost). The installation was easy, and there were no problems. It took about 2 hours even though I also installed the Airaid throttlebody spacer (highly recommend doing both) at the same time. Honestly, I am so impressed with how this came out. One of the best modifications that I’ve done to my Jeep yet. I wholeheartedly recommend this product!

I had this put on my 2012 Wrangler Unlimited. I’ve been thinking about it for about 5 years. I wish I had done it 5 years ago! Much better throttle response, more horsepower and a throatier rumble coming out of the tailpipe! The first two are with it, all by themselves! I got the polished tube as a vanity item, so you don’t need to do that, but I would strongly recommend getting a K&N cold air intake installed on your Jeep, whatever type you have!!! I feel like I’m driving a brand new vehicle! I’m thinking about giving my Jeep to my son when he turns 16 next year and buying a new JL. If I do, I’m getting a K&N intake installed immediately. It’s that good! ‘nough said?!!

Bought for my ‘18 JK. Installation was a little challenging, especially putting the box together. Make sure to read the instructions carefully and I recommend measuring the bolts. There are several sizes which are very similar in length. As far as performance, it adds a nice throaty tone when you mash the gas and the throttle response is noticably better. As far as gas mileage, it’s hard to tell since I put this thing on right after I bought the JK. I figure it can’t hurt.

I purchased the K&N 77-1566KP performance intake kit with polished tube hoping to get better gas mileage and have only seen a tiny increase. However, my jeep accelerates much better. Installation was easy, but I had to get creative. I cut about three inches off the factory crank case breather hose, which fit the crank case tube much better than the one sold with the intake kit. I put some glue on the end of the kit hose and slid it into the cut hose piece and clamped it on tight. I then clammed the hose to the crank case tube using the larger end of the original hose that was cut and clamped to the kit hose. I then attached and clamped the other end of the kit hose to the air intake tube where it’s supposed to go. On the filter hood, I reversed the screws using the Allen wrench. The screws come up from their case mounts sticking up. I used thread lock and lock washers so that they’re tight. This way, I place the filter hood over the screws that sick up from the case and secure them with wing nuts. This allows me to get to the filter by hand without using an Allen wrench. Once assembled, I drove my 2015 two-door 6 speed wrangler and enjoyed the sound and power. I wanted better gas mileage, but more power with a slight mileage increase was worth buying the kit. I’m not worried about water getting into my engine because I’m not planning to drive through deep water.

Definitely added a little more power and sound, that’s all I wanted! Had to open up the factory hole a little bit for the oxygen sensor. That only took another ten minutes or so, I used a deburring carbide cutter on my drill, that worked nicely.

Very impressed, a true plug and play part that has been well thought out. No issues with fitment. Fast shipping too! Looks great under the hood.

Sounds good when you pair it with a throttle body spacer

Aunque en la descripción no dice, es todo el sistema de snorkel para jeep jk. La instalación puede ser un poco complicada pero se puede realizar en unas 4 horas. Totalmente recomendable.

I bought this CAI looking for small increases in acceleration and gas mileage. I installed last week so the jury is still out on the mileage change but I immediately noticed the perceived increase in pep and the SOUND… my goodness, it was a bit more growl than I expected and I love it!
Like the product description says, the monster sound does go away at lower RPMs (anything under 2k for my heavy rig) and it sounds completely normal. So you do have to stomp it a little bit to hear the difference.
Installation might have taken me the quoted 60 mins but I made the mistake of not paying attention to the size difference in the silver bolts and went through an embarrassing assembling, unassembling, and reassembling procedure with the housing over and over again until I was absolutely sure everything was in its correct spot. Pay attention to that.
Everything is pretty straightforward, but you will most likely use some colorful language when it comes time to position and fasten the heat shield down with the tiny screws. Some screw dropping, some forceful pushing might occur.
The tube took a LOT of time getting it into the right spot so the rubber shroud would accept it. I would assume that will be different for each of us.
Overall great product, only giving it 4 stars cause I’m assuming that when it comes time to clean the filter I will have to go through a lot of this pain again.
Sucks to see it’s 20% off one week after my install. Oh well.

It was easy to install and looks great. In the 2017 jeep wrangler unlimited

I bought this for my husband. He completed the removal of the stock intake and installation of this K&N in 2hrs 2mins with the help of his 7 year old. Yeah—it’s easy to install. The toughest part was aligning the screws for the heat shield, otherwise this would have been done in more like 1hr 35mins. I recommend ensuring that you have all of the pieces before removing your stock intake.
I didn’t use the instructions, I just used a YouTube video “Jeep Wrangler JK K&N Air Intake System 77 Series 2012-2018 Installation”. It did a great walkthrough step by step.
I noticed an increase in throttle response for sure. The growl from the intake is impressive. I think a lot of people don’t see huge mileage gains because they love to mash the pedal to hear the noise. Understandable.
Don’t regret the purchase at all. Now it’s time for an exhaust system.
