As a percussionist, I highly recommend this metronome for anyone who is looking for something durable, relatively cheap, and easy to use. Has nice basic features, good sound, buttons are easily manipulated, and has stood the test of time for me. I’ve owned the metronome for at least 13 years and still pack it around in my bag or purse and use it regularly.

I am really impressed with this metronome! It has all the features I wanted, even some things that were kind of extra but that I really like having available! The volume would not be enough for a loud and more advanced piece of music, but you could glance at the on screen metronome. It works for me, as my piano students are all in early levels, and it is loud enough for them to play to. Easy to set, practical size, and good sound. Would definitely recommend!

I’m learning to play drums and I bought this to replace an ageing wind-up metronome. It’s an excellent product, very easy to use and it features all the rhythm patterns you need when learning any instrument. The option to have metronome function (tempo increments of 4bpm) or normal (1bpm) is handy to have.
Some have said the tick is not loud enough but it’s fine for me, and it’s a nice easy tone.

I absolutely love this little inexpensive metronome!!! I love the “tap-in” feature where you tap a button to figure out the tempo of what’s in your head, lol! I need a very loud metronome and this one is pretty good for me. I also like that there is a headphone jack – I have already had my family complain about the “annoying sound of a beep beep beep” so I plan on using the headphones next time! I would recommend this to anybody wanting a nice metronome but not wanting to pay a lot for a high-tech one or a non-digital one.

I’ve been using this little gem for over 2 hours a day for 3 days now and I am ALREADY a little faster and more coordinated with my drumsticks. Once you give the instructions a quick read it’s easy to navigate through what you want to do.
I love the “tap in” feature where you can listen to one of your favorite songs and literally tap a button a few times in a row to find the beat of the song and then set this metronome to play that rhythm. Then within that customized rhythm you can set it do the 1/4 note, 1/8 note or 1/16 note.
I have an electronic drum kit (which does come with a metronome built in to it, but since I don’t have it hooked up to a PA speaker, I have to use my headphones to hear the metronome) and sometimes I just want to practice coordination without headphones.
This is PLENTY loud enough to guide you along as you’re playing. It’s probably almost loud enough at full volume to practice on acoustic drums, although it would be close depending how hard you play.
The only CON I would say is that the LCD is not backlit, which would be really nice to see better at night, but I can’t drop the rating on this because it’s clearly not backlit in the description and photo.
So….5 stars, for $17.50 with free shipping at the time of this review? Uh, yeah, I’m super pleased!

This is a good choice for a basic metronome. It can do 1 to 7 beats per measure, with the first beat accented (different tone). The tempo settings run from 40 to 208 beats per minute and can be set by selecting a number for beats per minute or by tapping the tempo you want. The volume is adjustable or can be muted, with just the visual “ticker” keeping time. It doesn’t do fancy rhythms, just the basic tick-tick-tick to keep your tempo steady. Mine has been quite durable, too.

I ordered this for use in keeping a beat while exercising, so I have to say up front that I am not musical. I have no idea how this would work for someone who wanted to use it for music.
That said, this little metronome is perfect for my use. It is so easy to set up that it took me only a few minutes (and like I said, I know nothing about music). It is small (compact), has a little pop-out stand and a plug for an earphone. It also has a volume wheel on the side. I’m sure the web page here will give you any specs that I missed.
I have to add that the merchant who shipped this to me sent a personal (not form letter) email to me, telling me the metronome was shipped, and please be in contact if I had any problems. I was very impressed with the personal touch. It arrived only about two or three days later in perfect condition.

A metronome is an essential tool for all budding musicians in keeping rhythm and tempo. My study of the piano improved markedly when I began to take the metronome seriously. When I lost my earlier metronome somehow, I was happy to find this product. This Korg metronome was only cents more than the earlier one I had. It is a better constructed product and has some appealing features.
The metronome is small, lightweight in an attractive blue case. The ticking tone is distinctive to this product. It is loud enough to hear but not intrusive. Small, easy-to-use buttons allow for changing tempo.
What makes this metronome unusual for an inexpensive product is the features it offers besides ticking the time. The instrument has setting that allow for some rather intricate rhythmic uses. Thus, in addition to setting the beat at, say, 100, the metronome allows the user to set the rhythm such as 3/4, 2/4, 4/4, 6/8. It can also be set for triplets and other slightly complex rhythms. A slight but distintive accent is given to the downbeat in these settings. Besides the ticking, a little pendulum swings back and forth on the face of the instrument keeping the time. The metronome also includes a tuner at A =440.
The metronome runs on two small AAA batteries which are included with the purchase. I had some trouble opening the back of the instrument to put in the batteries. But I am something of a klutz and wouldn’t necessarily hold this against the instrument.
The small size and weight, tone, features, and price of this Korg metronome make it a good buy. Service was good and I received the metronome promptly. If you a a student of music, you need a metronome. This is a good choice.
