Its the best way to play Apex Legends.

I only wish it had better picture quality. On PC i can crank up the saturation to max on nvidia control panel, and then raise the brightness and contrast on the display settings, and then the monitor looks pretty good, but on the ps5 i can’t do that and it looks a bit weak on the ps5 cause aI can’t crank up the saturation like I can on PC.

For work its good its easy to read text and the picture size is good for two screens side by side.

If i was going to ask for something more it would be better picture quality and maybe 49″ instead of the 45″ i have now.

This is the way to play Apex Legends. I play on pc. On ps5 the picture is stretched regardless of the resolution i set which is nice cause the enemies in Apex Legends are more wide and so easier to hit.

This monitor was a lot lighter than expected. It was very easy to assemble as well. It supports “Picture By Picture” so you can have two or more video inputs going in to this monitor and then display them side-by-side. The response time is great and I haven’t noticed any ghosting.

One thing I will note: I did have to update my motherboard BIOS for this monitor to work. It doesn’t make sense to me, but if I booted up my PC with this thing plugged in, not a single display would work. If I shut down, unplugged this monitor, then booted back up it would be fine. I didn’t even see my BIOS POST screen when this happened so I figured it was something to do with my motherboard and not Windows. After a BIOS update my computer works fine with the monitor. For reference, my motherboard is the X570 AORUS ELITE WIFI. Hopefully this review helps someone with the same issue.

Had to retire my Apple Thunderbolt display after 12+ years. And Chose this as my replacement. Mostly for Development work. But a bit of gaming. After all the reviews, I was concerned about the height, curve and possible dead pixels. But all concerns were non-existent. This monitor is amazing. The curve is very slight and perfect for my desk and viewing angle. The height is a tiny bit smaller than my thunderbolt display, but the vertical resolution is the same and I barely notice. For database and development work it, this is a dream. The picture is crisp and I can fit 3 nice sized windows on the screen with plenty of room. There are 2 negatives, but nothing really to do with the monitor, just issues I didn’t think about. 1) no camera so I had to buy a webcam to sit on top and 2) on video calls, I can no longer share my entire screen, because my monitor is to large. I have to share an individual window. Oh and now my wife is jealous and wants one.

Overall, I could not be more pleased.

Man this monitor is flipping awesome. It literally does everything I need it to do. I was looking for a way to not have so much wires everywhere with buying two extra monitors but this one 45 inches ultra wide took care of all that. I can easily get three split screens on it, perfect for my work from home job. I don’t have any issues viewing things like spreadsheets or monitoring tools. For gaming, it gets the job done as well. I play some pc games and it runs them well. I also plug my Xbox to it and I get a cool 1440p 120fps. I don’t really care much for gaming with it, but for work, this thing is a game changer. I will come back and update after a few months. I pray it lasts. I have always loved LG products because everything LG I own has lasted me for YEARS

I’m using this as a display for a laptop running Linux. I have a lot of extra real estate on one screen. This is what I was expecting. What I wasn’t expecting is I’m noticing a drastic performance boost for games. I think this has more to do with the laptop display being disabled so no power is going to it and all the power that was going to it now go to the other computing resources. Needless to say I’m quite happy with this purchase.

I found that this monitor does exactly what I wanted out of it. A way to dock both my personal and work laptops with one cable, and have it feel like I have dual monitors. This is great because my work laptop only supports one external monitor, so my dual monitor home office setup felt useless. While I only really use it for office use (I really dislike ultrawide gaming), the high refresh rate is still awesome since I’m used to 144Hz for my gaming PC and 120Hz on the native display for my personal laptop.

The main reason I’m taking off a star is that I feel text may not be the most crisp I’ve ever seen, and the viewing angles are OK. Nothing looks terrible, but you can definitely see extra light bleed and blurriness towards the last inch or so on each side.

That being said, it’s an amazing productivity booster and well worth the price, just note that if you have a good gaming monitor at the moment, it probably has a better picture quality than this (but note it doesn’t look bad either).

I am not going to go into any specs in this review. I’m not that much of a gamer but I do occasionally fire up the xbox and play games. It is a really good monitor with great picture quality. In game performance is excellent for 120fps. I can’t speak on how it would perform using a pc with the best gpu and the highest settings. I’m not that much of a game geek so I’ll never know but it’s exactly what I was looking for in a monitor.

I did quite a bit of research on Ultrawides before buying this one. Even the samsungs and asus 49s had absolutly horrible reviews. Many friends also has issues with dead pixels and monitors just deciding to give up just outside of warrenty.

Well so far this LG is great. I always enjoyed LG and have quite a few of their products. Personally I tried a bunch of different games on this monitor along with different font sizes on texts or pdfs. I freaking love this thing, glad I sold off my three 27″ samsungs to get this one. Has been worth every penny thus far.
I have also been tinkering around with the LG app “On Screen Control” to take advantage of the “split screen” options seeing as how I was replacing three screens for an ultrawide for this main reason. It works great. I love how simple it is, however I had some trouble finding the app on the LG site. After talking to a rep, it was determined that it was not available on the site for this model, so they promptly linked me for another model (the app is the same for all the LG ultragears) and it worked no problem.

I also love the feature of being able to plug the mouse and keyboard into the monitor, and it just transfers my mousee & keyboard to whatever I plug the screen into. Even works while using Samsung DEX on my phone.

There is also a way to get two PCs to work split screen on this screen, haven’t played around with that yet, but will get to it soon. I will update as soon as I get a chance to do that. (I do a lot of repair for freinds/family, and the feature sounds like it would be VERY helpful. One mouse, keyboard & screen for any PC I plug)

I played around with the color/brightness settings till I got it where I liked it and saved the profile for my main PC. Personally the image is b-e-a-u-tiful. After Sony; LG has always been one of my favorites for TV. Well now they just might be my favorite for monitors.

Unless you have an absolute monster for a graphics card… you’re not gonna be running at 200 hz while gaming. I am running a 2070 SUPER and I average around 120 on medium settings on most games. Only time I hit the 200 is when on desktop. I am running a IVANKY 1.4 DISPLAY PORT cable for this.

It has only been two days since I received it, so time will tell. I have high hopes for this monitor and I hope it meets those expectations. I will keep this posted, because I am sure I am not the only one afraid to pay over 1000$ for a screen while all the other ultrawides let go just after warrenty.

    10/10 so far.

I got the 32:9 variant of the monitor on this product listing. Specifically, the version with a USB-C port. I ended up returning it. The main determining factor was the VA ghosting. Still images on this monitor look great. But any time there’s a high contrast between two colors side by side, there’s a horrendous amount of smearing whenever the two colors are moving. The easiest example is using YouTube in dark mode. Any time you scroll, the thumb nails have this weird color shifting effect. Another example that really bothered me was in Sea of Thieves. My ship was painted black, and any time I looked at it against a bright blue sky as the background, I would see a dark green trail follow the ship as I moved my mouse. There’s ways to reduce this affect, but they all just reduce the contrast to a point that you might as well have just bought an IPS display. And they don’t even fix all of the ghosting problems. Another issue that I believe is related to the ghosting is that any time there is a pattern going across the screen, it becomes extremely jittery. This is an oddly specific example, but if you’ve played Portal 2, you may remember that the white surfaces have a texture with several small bumps all over the panels, arranged in sort of a grid pattern. When those surfaces were on screen and I was moving my mouse or walking, it felt like the camera was shaking due to the jittery-ness.
I bought this monitor without realizing that there was a cheaper variant without the USB-C port. That part is my fault for not doing enough research before making my purchase. However, the non USB-C variant was $550 at the time of purchase, while the variant I bought was $700. $150 for a USB-C port seems absurd to me.
My final issue with this monitor isn’t anything wrong with this one in particular, moreso with 32:9 monitors in general. They’re great for productivity, but many games, especially older ones, don’t work well with them. In particular, any game that does not have an FOV slider will not look right. Objects near the sides of the screen end up being stretched to a point that they look much closer to you than they actually are. And most games still place your HUD in the far corners of the screen, meaning you have to look left or right to see it. You can turn the resolution down to 2560 by 1440, but then what’s the point in having a 32:9 monitor?
Overall, I would not recommend this monitor, especially for gaming.
