Are we even surprised Shantel smashed it again. Get ready to clutch those pearls ladies, Well I’m not, as you may all have seen if you read my past five reviews Shantel is an automatic auto-buy author and can do no wrong in my eyes.
The Plot twists just keep on twisting.. but this one, oh boy did it twisty twist. And the spice is *chefskiss* out come the wet floor signs! 😂
I never thought I needed a break in the usual storyline of the first three until I read Carnage, they are just so different but still on the same path. I loved both MMC and FMC so much in this one.
This book is set years after leaving Barrington University and we get an ultimate boss FMC. She doesn’t want to follow the predecessors and she wants to be a powerful woman in the world of the extremely powerful male dominant L.O.R.D.S. oh but our Annabelle knows she will marry a Lord. She knows she will need to go through initiation and complete an assignment to become who she’s destined to be. Haidyn Jamieson Reeves, one of the spade brothers we all know and love is front and center in this one. He’s the ultimate dominant in all aspects of life except for those he loves the most. When this man cares, he cares HARD. He has been through a lot, a lot a lot.
A&H have a lovely story, I mean I love dark romance but I got the ICK at one point but I actually found you can move on from the ICK… I understood why it was added… the whole plot was fab and added so much background into the lords as well know it… knowing who they are where they came from but we have so much to find out still. I cannot wait ♠️🤍

I am destroyed!! MADNESS has ripped my heart out and stomped all over it—leaving behind a bloody mess. It oozes with lust, desire, revenge, danger and drags you deep into its darkness, intrigue and suspense that is all rolled up into one deliciously dark and twisted package. This is Haidyn Reeves (Spade brother) and the strong female who he becomes enamored with. So, what is this Spade brother’s story? Well, there is so much to unveil! The turbulent mystery of what happened to Haidyn and the other Spade brothers brings out the beast in Haidyn when he encounters his prey. Their contest of wills never waivers with their love/hate relationship. You feel every ounce of pain, every slice of betrayal, secrets, lies, revenge, and it will keep you on the edge of your seat to find out what happens next. Its a given by now to state that Shantel is amazing at what she does. She delivered in more ways than one, especially knowing that no one was expecting Haidyn to be next. I’m absolutely in love with this book, so much so that I refuse to give spoilers, because everyone deserves to go through the ups and downs and feel all the feels the way I did.
But it was sexy, angsty, all of the above. There was the perfect amount of twists and turns, it tugged on my heartstrings. I cried, i laughed, i got mad, literally had me feeling everything. The storyline was so well delivered, and i 10000% believe its one of her best stories yet. The spice was chefs freakn kiss and i loved the FMC’s strive to be better and not take any less than what she deserves was refreshing, Shantel absolutely picked the best person to gove that confidence to. I love all the FMC’s from her books but something about her resonated with me.
Madness is definitely worth the read, its almost sinful not to. Haidyn has my heart as of right now he is everything I wished for and more, ( dont come at me Amy). The Spade Brothers are not the type to hide on the shadows, they are out here causing Mayhem and arent sorry for it.
I cant wait for whatever comes next, Shantel is keeping my soul til the end of time with this type of writing.
Please keep on mind, that you should check for trigger warnings, because her books are not for the faint of heart. Your feelings and mental health matters, so always tread carefully when reading dark romance. Buttt i hope youre able to jump on this crazy wild ride and grow to love her and her books/content as much as alot of us do.

Wow, that was intense!,! So much going on, so much information! Haidyn, omg! What a character! He goes through so much, and so many emotions in play! Then he meets Charlotte and he’s drawn to her. She’s also drawn to him! They’re thrown together for nefarious reasons! Unbelievable! Great read! Loved it!

Shantel Tessier does it again! Let me start this thread with this: if you have not read The Ritual, The Sinner, The Sacrifice, (Sabotage) or Carnage you best be stopping right here and go read those first. There’s a lot, and I mean A LOT, of stuff going on in this book and to understand it best you really need to read the ones that started it all. This is a BIG book – my kindle said 15 hours of read time, I said challenge accepted! Did I miss a little sleep just to get some reading in? You betcha.

I don’t leave reviews with spoilers in them so if that’s what you’re looking for you can just pass me right on by. Trust me when I tell you, with Shantel it really is best to jump in blind (unless you’re a trigger warning reader because there are some of those too!)
I laughed, shook my head in confusion, screamed in frustration, clutched my pearls and cried.
This story had everything you could think of – intrigue, spice, suspense, spice, drama, spice, romance. Did I mention spice? Man, just when you think you’ve got something figured out along comes a left hook. There are answers to so many questions that were left with Carnage and there’s hints of so much more to come!
Shantel Tessier is a master teller of tales, one who draws you in within the first few pages and keeps you invested. She has the uncanny ability to immerse you in her universe and you feel everything. I honestly don’t know how she keeps this world straight, she’s gotta have a master room set up with theory boards and outlines that go on for DAYS.
Read this y’all… read them all. I promise you will not be disappointed.
