Using to make cat “kibble”/treats and it works very well! Nice and low-noise, has a very nice guide for other things you could make like a beef jerky recipe I’ll be trying, and easy enough to clean! I like as well how it can be stacked for higer or lower clearance, that’s very handy!

The first time I switched on the dehydrator, it broke down.

Nice. Whoever designed the shipping packaging is a genius. It was strong, padded and not a hair width of wasted space. Easy to set up. The control is easy to use. The user guide is GREAT. It explains the product, how to use it, is well written in English and is perfect in size. It gives times and temperatures to use for just about anything you might want to dehydrate. Using all 5 trays, it holds three 8 inch long zucchini and 1 banana. The racks are solid, IMHO, and work well. They are easily reversible to change the height spacing. My first and only use, so far, did take about double the time to finish, but I am in no rush since it is fairly priced item. Very happy!

I purchased this device to dehydrate and warm raw vegan food. I made some mushroom jerky using it.
It served it’s purpose. I like that it was easy to use. It has an option to adjust the time and temp. Pretty simple and straight to the point. When adjusting the time and temp, the device is a bit loud. I didn’t care for the loud beeping noise it made while adjusting and the loud being noise it made when the timer was up.
The shelves are stackable and plastic. There is really not enough room to adjust between the shelves as they only stack a top each other. So, if you want to dehydrate something a little taller than the allowable space, you’ll be disappointed. I had this item for less than 30 days. Eventually, the plastic shelves began to crack. Though the shelves were fairly easy to clean, they are very fragile. It’s hard to clean the base. You can only wipe it down and not emerge in water.
Initially, I liked the idea of this dehydrator because it was compact. But, I noticed that no matter what I dehydrated, my food smelled and tasted funny. I think it’s caused by the newness of the machine. Also, I realized the machine is too small and limited in what I could dehydrate. Functionally, it worked well. Overall, it’s just not for me.

This seems to be a good dehydrator for the price. Yes, there are cheaper ones available, but they have plastic trays and lack digital controls (and might not have operation manuals either).
This dehydrator has digital time and temp controls. It has a helpful guide book with some recipes, operating info, time and temp suggestions for various foods. The book, sadly, seems to have been written by someone who couldn’t speak much English. Portions of it are impossible to grasp, and the reader is left guessing as to what the author might be attempting to express. That said, it is still better than most instructions accompanying cheap electronics these days, and the really important stuff, namely the time and doneness chart for various foods is great.
The trays are metal screen within a clear plastic frame. These trays seem rather flimsy, like they are the thinnest possible allocation of materials. I don’t expect them to hold up for very long with regular use. I almost docked a star for that, but really, I guess I have to consider that this is comparatively a low priced item, so longevity isn’t to be expected. If I get a lot of use from this dehydrator, I will replace it later with one that has a sturdier construction.
I have used it a few times already, and love being able to dehydrate foods at home. It really is worth buying if you compare the mark-up on stuff like beef jerky and dehydrated marshmallows and fruit “chips” to what it costs to make them at home with this dehydrator. It might be healthier to home dehydrate foods, especially since you will not be adding a bunch of preservatives and chemicals like most of the plastic packaged foods have.
The dehydrator was also very well packaged and boxed securely for shipping. It more than exceeded expectations in that regard.
Bottom line: It has a lot better features than the slightly cheaper dehydrators. It comes with instructions and has steel trays. The only compromise is that the trays don’t feel very sturdy. I would recommend this one if you’re looking for a budget priced dehydrator that has some of the features of higher end ones. But, if you think you’ll get a lot of use from it, and if longevity and sturdiness is important, then perhaps it would be best to get a more expensive and durable model.

doesnt work in uae bcz the cable is not compatable with uae cables it exploded after turning it on and doesnt work anymore so i threw it in the garbage

It seems like very good quality. The tray mesh is stainless steel, the plastic frames fit together perfectly, nice and compact but can be raised taller by turning them. The controls are easy to use and the digital display is easy on the eyes. Originally I bought a Nesco unit that was about $3 less, but returned that one because I didn’t realize the only features it had was the On/Off switch. No temperature control, no timer, just On and Off at one setting. It threw off a LOT of heat and it was big and round, which made storing it a problem for me. I really like the size and shape of this Magic Mill dehydrator. It fits on the top shelf of the lazy susan inside my corner cabinet. So far I’ve dried a batch of oregano, dried a small batch of tomatoes and made a large batch of banana chips. The bananas stuck to the mesh a little, and I forgot to dip them in a bit of lemon. Next time for sure. Like any appliance though, there’s a learning curve. Overall I’m happy with this purchase.

I have been using this to dehydrate Mangoes, Workd great, I use coconut oil for easy release off the stainless mesh. Scrub brush works best for cleaning.
Jo Payne –
It’s a great product for the price. It’s a bit smaller than I was expecting but it works fine. I’ve just done a batch of jerky and it turned out great. The instructions are simple to follow, although I will say that the timer is confusing to me.
Either way it’s a good little dehydrator and I am happy with my purchase.
Hope this helps!

Simple and gets the job done. It’s big enough to do decent batches of what you need, but doesn’t take up half the kitchen.
We typically make jerky or fruit. Nothing has broken, but parts of the trays feel like they may break easily, but to this date, nothing has. We like it and are considering another/bigger one.
