If I could, I would give this tape 10 stars. After using another brand that was awful, I was so relieved to find this tape my husband’s clinic used to furnish available for me to buy. It doesn’t irritate his sensitive skin, it stays in place, it is easy to manipulate as needed, and it is a bargain in my estimation. I do my husband’s hemodialysis treatments at home and use this tape exclusively. In the first picture, I have set up the tape segments I know I will need. I can fold the end back easily to be able to pull what I need one handed. The second picture shows the tape pieces I will need first, including one segment I split down the middle and fold back to do a butterfly around the needle lines. This tape has never failed us in ease of use and in holding as safely and securely as needed.

Like most 3M products, the micropore tape is excellent. It sticks well and breathes well, and the price for the 12 rolls is a great value. The tape is breathable and works well on wounds and in the lab. It is also a good alternative to Parafilm Petri dish tape. The pores are small enough to breathe but restricted enough to keep debris and contaminants from entering your cultures. Moreover, the tape is considerably cheaper than Parafilm.

I tried just about every OTC brand out there and found they didn’t hold well. I had eye surgery and needed my eye protector shield to say on all night. The roll they gave me from the surgery center worked great, but none of the OTC brands held all night. I found the same brand (as the surgeon gave me) on Amazon and ordered it. I will be using the eye patch for sometime, plus I use paper tape for other things, so buying a carton of 12 rolls was not a problem for me. This paper tape holds very well to clean skin (even held the whole night when I forgot to wash my face). It removes cleanly, does not leave any residue, nor does it irritate my highly sensitive skin (I’m allergic to the adhesive in most adhesive bandages). I highly recommend.

I really like this tape. It is, I believe, primarily a medical tape, but I use it for many things. It sticks well, but comes off easily when you want it to come off. A doctor used it when he dressed a wound that was particularly stubborn about healing, and I’ve been using it ever since.
I even use it when I’m sewing and doing machine embroidery to hold pieces of fabric in place.

It’ll hold even in the shower. Do yourself a favor and fold over the ENTIRE end-edge to pull it off easier later. If not, you may pull off little bits before being able to get the whole strip off, especially because the edges can taper off (becoming flush to your skin) and you may need your nails to separate the 2. It’s AMAZING tape for all of these reasons — she STICKS and STAYS — but also be smart when using it. I would definitely not use it as mouth tape, either.

Works well, but I always hate tearing the tape because it’s never in a straight line. It’s the same stuff a lot of hospitals use, and it does the job. Cheaper than most box stores, and it is available in bulk here.
