Janice Scott –
This tape is strong, but gentle on fragile skin. If you are allergic to tape adhesive, this will work to keep your skin from blistering or cracking. A perfect find for me and so modestly priced.

I Love this tape. It’s great for it’s intended purposes – and some unintended ones as well. It holds well enough while being easy to remove. It’s water proof while at the same time fully breathable. Wild stuff. Love using it on wounds as it doesn’t tear at the healing bits while being changed/removed.

The tape worked exactly as needed and expected. I was using it every day all day to hold collagen over surgical wounds and it started getting uncomfortable on my skin after a number of days. Perhaps anything would have being on there all the time?

First, this is the best tape you can get. Buy it.
If you have sensitive skin, prone to bruising or bleeding easily because of blood thinners, or you’re just tired of tape that will not come off. 3M is the “go to” company for “high end” products, not just tape, but anything that has to meet a standard, be and act the same, one batch to the next, and sometimes nitch products needed for those 1 in a million users. When the roll I was given ran out, I could not find it anywhere at all, this was a little earlier than Amazon or the like online stores.
When I found it here on Amazon I bought one box each of the 1″, 2″, and 3″ rolls, just to make sure I would have a good width tape for whatever might need in the future.
It not only works for the intended purposes, but is great for grip tape you want to remove after using each time you need to, boxing tape, shipping tape too. This is the only tape I want to use when I need tape for most anything, I have it on all my axes and hatchets, and anything else I don’t want to fly out of my hands from swinging, and other tools that you just want to get a better grip on.
My father, in his 70’s, was a 2-3 times a year visitor to the V.A. Hospital in Tampa, V.A. James A. Haley, best V.A. hospital in the U.S.A. in my opinion. He had skin that you could not even use the standard brand of “band-aids” on because they would tear his skin sometimes, make large bruises from trying to remove the heavy tape he would have on him still from one of his many 3-5 day “vacations” in the hospital, you get the idea. Well, one visit, his nurse was going through the things I needed to do or help him with, and he gave me an roll of this tape, it had been used on my father, and they could not use it on anyone else to stop cross contamination. Nicest little thing anyone had done for me that they probably didn’t give a second thought to. I have not bought this kind of tape from a different brand, or a different type from 3M since. My Mother, who is 87, is very happy that I don’t use anything else for her care as well.
Well, don’t keep reading this, buy it, hurry up!

I bought this to try as mouth tape while sleeping. It is very reasonably priced- so took a chance. The rolls are wide and stick effectively without painful removal in morning. The strip ( I cut) stays in place all night, unlike others that are marketed as mouth tape. The width means it covers perfectly. I am a big fan!
It may well have other uses, that are just as good- but as mouth tape for sleeping, an excellent choice. Multiple rolls means a good supply on hand. Packed one in my suitcase already, so I won’t forget, ever.

Using this for mouth taping while sleeping and it’s the bomb! I was using 3M 1” tape but the 2” is just so much better. As with the 1” I am able to reuse the same piece several times so I see this box lasting a heck of a long time. GREAT VALUE. Will buy again. Highly recommend.

Good quality micropore tape comes in handy for many things good value , easy to use, extra wide is a benefit, easy to remove with remover spray
OWLWISE –
I have extremely sensitive skin and have a true allergy to virtually all adhesives .But this tape, though not claiming to be “hypoallergenic” as some other claim, is the only tape I can use for any length of time over 5 minutes which will not create whelps, bumps, redness, itching, or take part of my skin off when the tape is removed. In addition, just one 2 inch roll at the local drugstore costs what this entire box cost! So definitely a great buy. As an RN, I have worked with at least a dozen types of tapes- all useful for varying circumstances. This tape is breathable, flexible, will not immediately come off in water and is excellent for delicate, thin, and sensitive skin. It’s ability to adhere to the skin without causing problems is great, but you have to be sure the area of where the tape will be placed is clean and very dry. It is also essential to hold down/press/smooth out the tape with warm hands and allow it to adhere to the skin for a few minutes. If you apply it to an area where it will bunch up (say the inside area of the arm where it folds at the elbow), then extend the arm straight out to apply and follow the holding/pressing down of the tape so it will stick to the skin. After you have done this, bend the arm and notice that the tape should fold in with the bend, but remain on the skin, though after a time it may crease and if the area becomes sweaty or excessively dirty, the tape may begin to some off. The drawback to the tape (as with almost ANY tape) is that, when used in hot environments and moving your body frequently, the tape tends to crease and adhere to the skin “tighter” and it may become uncomfortable. For long term use for a chronic or slow healing wound, practice which angle and tape application works best and follow the instructions in the next part of this comment, whether you change the dressing just 1 or 2 times a day, this will help with costs and help spare the patient’s skin and more pain. When having to perform multiple dressing changes daily it is best to first put down pieces of tape on the skin where the tape will go, then apply the bandage and tape it down to the tape already on the skin, therefore, you will not have to peel tape off the skin each dressing change. Change the barrier tape every day or even 2 days if it’s still clean. If difficult to get off the skin, use a little non-scented lotion/cream to the edges and slowly add a bit more to remove it. Just remember to clean the area with soap & water and dry well before applying more tape. If possible, allow skin to be cleansed, dried, and aired out before applying again. good luck! . ,

3M is the tape that I normally buy. For some reason, my medical supply company didn’t have it. I bought some other paper tape that would not stick or stay on. But, fortunately I found the 3M on Amazon and purchased it there. I’m so glad to find it again. I love how it really sticks to the skin and stay on and moves with the body. It also stays on while showering and drys nicely.

My daughter’s home health company only provides 1 roll her insurance her month we use more and haven’t been able to find this exact tape. It’s the best for sticking to her skin for her feeding tube. Excellent pricing as well and fast shipping

If your skin ‘weak’ as in very thin (paper thin), damaged or wrinkled then this is the ONLY tape you should use to cover dressings. I have tried too many different kinds of tape which resulted in my leg weeping upon removal of the dressing. This happens because the tape peels off a very, very fine layer of skin leaving a reddish blotchy patch where the tape was. Bandaids are VERY bad on damaged or wrinkled skin. On normal skin they’re great. Paper tape is best on damaged or wrinkly skin when using ‘Sponge’ dressings
