I recently installed this software on my four-year old desktop PC in preparation for doing a monthly newsletter. This version had better reviews than later versions, and I was definitely not interested in paying a monthly or annual fee to MS for using the latest version.
The product arrived quickly and was sealed with a certificate of authenticity. The installation process was easy, and it was ready to go after a reboot. The product key was entered early in the installation process, and it was activated without having to call MS.
The Word & Publisher programs are easy to use, as I was familiar with previous versions. The ability to convert to PDF from Publisher, which is important for my project, was an “add-in” feature meaning I downloaded on-line via a link to MS. The process was fast, easy and free.
I am still exploring the other programs.

But now that Windows 11 is appearing finding hard to use, says we have used up our license. Still a great product.

I like Office Professional 2007 because it still had Access as part of the suite–AND you receive actual discs! I hate those annual subscriptions for personal home use so I look for one-time purchases but it’s getting harder every year. At least this way I can still install the suite on the new laptops and still use/update my/family old files. My older child complained that instead of using “the cloud” he’ll have to manually transfer files between home and school work–boo hoo! I just upgraded 3 of our 5 laptops with Windows 10 and Office 2007 and all various other software still work fine. Product was still wrapped in plastic, Product Key worked, only pbm I ran into was a missing .dll file but I googled the pbm, located and copied files from an old laptop onto the new laptops and voila. Then only inconvenience was I had to manually create desktop shortcuts–a whopping 3 minutes. So thank you!

I have just today received my Office Professional 2007 and I have installed it on my system. I really don’t understand all the negative reviews posted here. The Upgrade went smoothly, quickly, & flawlessly. I am very pleased with the entire migration from Office Pro-XP to 2007. I like the new features and the “ribbon” so many are complaining about is very nicely done. I have no problem finding any of my commonly used features. Better yet, features I had to dig to find are there on the ribbon. Outlook ran superbly and actually started FASTER than my old Outlook XP! I like the way the new mail is ordered, grouping those received today, last week, and older emails. I also like the layout of Word and Excel, and yes, the shortcut-keys do work. I had no problem opening older files in any of my new Office apps. If your concerned about backwards compatability, don’t be. You can save your work in backwards compatable types. This is no new issue, though. I’ve gone through that process many times as I’ve upgraded my applications. IT’S NO BIG DEAL! The types are in the “Save-As file type” drop down. After reading some of the negative reviews here and experiencing the VISTA fiasco, I was a little concerned, but I needed to buy a new copy as I need to install the old Office XP on another PC (want to stay legal) and went into this with crossed fingers. I am happy to say I wasn’t disappointed at all and all those nay sayers either have nothing better to do than write really unbased negative reviews or they just like Microsoft bashing. Granted, they’ve made some real faux-pas, but then what manufacturer hasn’t.
This is the FULL version, I never buy upgrade versions.
BTW: I don’t have a speed demon of a PC. It is a 2.0Ghz P4 Dell Optiplex GX270. It’s about 3 years old, but it does the job.

Windows 7 is almost as advertised. True to Microsoft’s reputation, it has some bugs and some applications which should run, will have difficulity – even if they work with Vista or even if they are advertised as “Windows 7 compatible.” The reason is that the software companies develop and test their products with Beta versions of Windows 7. Then Microsoft makes “tweeks” in their final version before they release to the public. Some of these “tweaks” will make some applications unstable. Thus, expect that some of your applications will need to be upgraded before they will work. As to the product itself, it is definitely better than Vista as its faster, cleaner and more user friendly. I’d suggest that you get a good book on Windows 7 to have next to you as you learn how it works as some things have changed. On my system, I had to do a complete, clean install as the upgrade tool to automatically transition from Vista to Windows 7 didn’t work and aborted several times when used. Thus, Microsoft is still Microsoft so don’t believe all their hype about fixing their past problems with new releases.

  10. Rugby in 2016!

I purchased this item for these reasons: Price is best I found anywhere online or in stores. The main reason for this purchase is because I, like other reviewers, wanted the actual discs instead of online yearly subscription renewal as well as being able to work offline. Many programs included – especially Access. Also, great for parent who is use to 7 and didn’t want to relearn Windows 8 and on. Actually neither did I, as 7 seems good enough and we don’t have the touch screen computers. Installation was a breeze. Registering with Microsoft easier, took 5 minutes. – Call Microsoft from a smart phone, answer ‘yes’ to calling from a smartphone & hang up. Microsoft will text you back – follow the instructions to receive registration code – and DONE. No need to wait, or speak with a customer service rep.
Product was shipped promptly and arrived on time, in good condition. I am recommending company and product for these reasons.
    With Gratitude.
