I’ve been using this new vacuum for one week and I love it! It is exactly what I’ve been searching for since my old Dyson cannister vacuum died. These are the things I love about it:
1) easy to manuever and the actual act of vacuuming is so much easier because you are only pushing the floor attachment and the hollow tube around not the entire motor as with an corded or cordless upright. Swivels easily and really lightweight.
2) the the tube is extendable so it is easy to use even if you are tall.
3) the attachments to clean different surfaces are onboard and accessible even without turning the vacuum off. You can combine dusting and vacuuming if you like.
4) the cord is long enough and the auto-wind into the vacuum works smoothly.
5) if you swivel the floor head sideways you can lay the tube all the way to the ground to vacuum completly under the bed without having to get down on the floor or bend all the way down. It has nice low clearance.
6) It’s quieter than most vacuums and my noise canecelling headphones did not even activate.
7) this was an adjustment going back to a bagless vacuum as it is nice to avoid that extra cost, but it just feels so much cleaner. There is no dust or funny smell from the vent on the vacuum (using a HEPA filter) and even with a ton of dog hair the bag still appears to be far from needing to be changed. Time will tell, but I absolutely do not miss dumping the bagless cannister and having all the dirt/dust/dog hair flying in my face. If you have allergies you will love this feature. I don’t think I will ever go back to bagless.
8) the hose attaches to the base in two ways depending on whether you are storing your vacuum standing upright or flat on the floor. Really nice feature not to have the hose just laying there.
9) the attachment for hard floors is really WIDE – you cover more floor area with each sweep which is saving me more time than I expected.
10) I have all hard flooring and this vacuum works great for that. I would not want to use this vacuum if I had alot of area rugs or any wall to wall carpeting. I really don’t think it would as easy to use in that instance.
Highly recommend!

I enjoy using this machine on my hardwood floors. It is quiet and easy to maneuver around the room. The suction control knob is easy to use, but I have not needed to move it from the quiet setting very often.
This Complete C2 version comes with the xtra large parquet twister (SBB400-3) head and the AllTeq universal floor head (SBD365-3). The tools compartment also contains the crevice nozzle, crevice nozzle, and dusting brush.
The parquet twister head is awesome! Easy to use and very effective on hard surfaces, without fear of scratching the floor. It cannot be used on rugs or carpets.
The universal head does a decent job on my wool rugs, but I have to modulate the suction using the vent control on the wand in order to maintain smooth operation and prevent sticking to the rug. I think if I experimented with lowering the suction with the knob on the canister, I could achieve consistently smooth operation without using the vent control on the wand. I don’t use this head on my hard surfaces, because I have the parquet twister!
This model uses the same bags and filters as the Complete C3 models and is similar in most respects to the Complete C3. One major difference is that this model cannot be converted to use electric power heads, because it does not have a power connector on the canister.

When we remodeled our home from carpet to all hardwood floors, I literally OBSESSED over which vacuum to buy to replace the 20 year old Dyson upright that had served me well through several other homes. But the Dyson was heavy and cumbersome for any vacuuming, especially in small areas or under furniture or even the edges of the kitchen floor where the cabinets hung over a bit. Anyway, I needed a a vacuum that was lightweight and wouldn’t scratch my brand new and very expensive floors. I also wanted a vacuum that was cheap, but finally realized that cheap ($200 or so) was not going to work for me, to clean an entire home (all one floor) of hardwood floors. I agonized: reading endless reviews, adding and deleting numerous vacuums to my cart, looking at the displays in stores, talking to the local vacuum store salesperson, and Googling “Best vacuums for hardwood floors.” I knew that I didn’t want a robotic floor vacuum, and I don’t have pets. I noticed that the Miele brand’s much more expensive models ($1,000 plus) had been in the top 5 recommendations of several sites I visited. So, as the dust piled up and I got tired of using a broom, I finally just clicked BUY NOW for this one which better fit my budget. I’m so glad I did.
PROS: I’ve used it now for a few months, and so far it seems to meet ALL my needs. It’s lightweight and easy to pull (I’m older so I appreciate this!), with soft wheels that don’t scratch the floors. It’s a canister with a long hose, so I can easily get under furniture without switching utensils, and the wide brush head makes for fewer sweeps, saving a lot of time and energy. The soft bristles of the brush head make it easy to get all the dust and dirt (long story, but we don’t enforce a “no shoes in the house” rule, as some do with their hardwood floors) that accumulates along the edges. It also has varying levels of suction which for me means that the brush head moves easily, doesn’t get stuck on the floor, and I can detach the wand and vacuum my wood blinds/window sills without damaging them. I can also easily adjust up for any dirt that has become trapped in the crevasses between the planks of the hardwood. There is a fairly long cord, retractable, so I can vacuum the entire living space without too many interruptions.
CONS: This is definitely NOT a good vacuum for a home with flooring that alternates between hard surfaces (wood/laminate/tile) and rugs or carpet. It easily transitions over thresholds between various hard surfaces, but in my opinion this is not the vacuum if you have carpet or large room rugs. You want to pick the rugs up and shake them out first, obviously, but you can’t do that with carpet or area rugs. Also, while I like the lightweight feature of this particular model as I age, it does mean that the unit feels a bit cheaply made (at least compared to my previous behemoth of a vacuum that is still going strong after 20 years). I can’t attest yet to the durability of the Miele C2, but there are some concerns I have after using it for just a few months: The canister is made of plastic that is pretty thin. The suction hose is also very thin, and it doesn’t attach with a loud, satisfying click into the canister, which makes me wonder if it will last. And this model is NOT bagless; although as least some of the more expensive models are. But I did order a set of replacement bags that was very reasonably priced.
All in all, I would highly recommend this vacuum for those with all (or mostly) hardwood floors. If anything changes, I will update this review!
