Long story short. First of all I’m not a shill for this product. However, I bought one for my wife, which worked great, then I bought two for myself, so I could set up a basically identical experience at work and at home. Again, long story short, it works!
However, pay close attention to the disclaimer: “100W Power Charging Port (87W Safety)”
This means that you can only plug a 100W charger in to it safely. Most chargers are 120W nowadays.
I plugged a 120W charger (Dell) in to this hub, my primary hub, and got good results for about 2 months. The unit was in a closed desk drawer. After a few months, it won’t display video out unless my charger is plugged in to the laptop instead of the hub. I think my charger overloaded the hub. It seems like having my charger plugged in to the hub, then having the hub plugged in to my computer, the video wont display on the output monitors. I attribute this to overloading the hub with a bigger charger than expected.
Anyway, that didn’t happen with the second hub using an off brand laptop charger. A generic charger from amazon and the hub being out in the open result in a low heat, seamless experience.
This is a good hub. It still works. The one I have at work seems great after four or five months. The one I broke with a big charger still works, as long as I don’t plug the big charger in to it anymore (I just plug the charger in to the computer directly). Even though I get a warning at work that its only charging at 100W instead of the factory default of 120W, that’s what the hub documentation says it should be, and it still keeps my laptop charged.
::IMPORTANT::
Final note: I also thought that the video out (HDMI) was failing, but after a bit of research I found that the way to solve most video problems with this hub is to do a HARD reboot of your laptop (Windows 11). Not a Restart, but a full Power Off, then press the button to turn your computer on. Re-post and share because that basically fixes everything that can go wrong with this device.

This cable blew my expectations more than I expected. The cable is braided and doesn’t look like it will fray ‘ever’ and the build quality of the metal plating and metal shell is very good. The cable came with some gripping material on the USB-C side not shown in the picture that makes it much easier to pull out the cable. I don’t think you can find many cables at this price for this level of quality. The picture quality produced by the cable is really good and works well with my laptop as well as my Android smartphone. I haven’t had any issues with frame rate, latency or resolution.

I have 2 of these units, they work great. But after a windows update the hdmi ports suddenly stopped working.
My solution was going into the bios and disabling secure boot after setting your security password of course. After that booting up the monitors came right up again.

It’s a decent enough mini-docking station that has all the inputs that we needed to plug in our monitors, speakers, and laptop without any converters, but for whatever reason ever since switching to this docking station the connection with our wireless keyboard and mouse has become choppy at best. It happens with multiple different PCs and was never an issue with previous docking stations as long as we used the USB 2.0 ports, which we do with this one. Using this docking station though, both devices will randomly lag, stop working for 10-15 seconds, than send the same keystrokes multiple times, etc.. It’s become enough of a pain that I’m replacing it after about 6 weeks of WFH with it.

These hubs are so amazing, I own 2 of them! One is for my MacMini and the other is for my HP laptop (which, thanks to this hub, acts like a desktop).
I own a variety of different hubs and this one by far, is the best (and most affordable too). I did need to get an extension cable to run from the hub to my laptop (because of my arrangement) but that’s not a big deal.
This hub is a perfect fit with my laptop which has a Thunderbolt 3 port. With just a single cable connection, my laptop is powered by the hub, connects perfectly with my 3 (27 inch monitors), wired network connection, multiple external hard drives, direct connection to my laser printer, my Bose mini sound system, mouse and keyboard. It’s also connected to smaller USB and USB-C hubs for additional connections.
I am completely impressed on how well EVERYTHING works (flawlessly) through a single connection to my laptop. In a matter of seconds, I can convert my laptop to a desktop or disconnect the cable and take it on the go.

Used this with an older Dynex tv and my hp cbromebook g7 ee. Works almost flawlessly and it was easy to figure out as well. Also connects to my galaxy phone. Its a win and the price is fantastic! Thank you.
Oh and the material is of excellent quality. I have high hopes that this will last a long time

I have a desktop PC (Micro Center Powerspec) and a Dell Latitude model 5420 Laptop. I am using this as a docking station for Laptop and I had no problems setting it up. It works perfect. Only small problem is that the Dell Laptop gives you a warning message when you boot up “You have plugged in a lower wattage power adapter, USB-C charging device or power pass-through device. You system will continue to work, but may not perform at its peak.” Just press the Continue button to start the Laptop. Only issue is that because it is lower wattage it takes a little longer to charge the laptop otherwise everything else works fine! I also have a KVM switch with this configuration and 2 27 inch AOC monitors that allows me to switch between the laptop and desktop using extended monitor mode on both machines. That works perfectly too. Very satisfied. The seller of the docking station was very helpful and answered any questions I had in a very timely manner.

The product worked fine until April of 2024, after being purchased in November of 2023. At that point, the HDMI 2 port completely failed and both Monitor 1 and Monitor 2 started blinking, constantly searching for signal and generally failing to connect. Very disappointed.
EDITED 4/9/2024: I am upgrading my review to 4-stars due to the excellent customer service which I received from the company regarding the product. While the product still is broken and I have been forced to use a workaround, I will be purchasing another in the future. I believe any company willing to offer a full refund is a company that stands behind their product and will give MOKiN another try in the future.
