As title says, the product did not work for me at all. I have an M2 MacBook Pro and my computer could not find this capture card even with OBS installed and everything properly hooked up. I even had an IT specialist remote control my computer to make sure all my settings were correct.
Worse, is the company will not allow returns for seemingly any reason. They offer troubleshooting advice, but the advice offered has nothing to do with the capture card product. The FAQs they show you are all about their gaming headsets and gaming controllers.
So now I have a product I can’t use, no information on how to make it work, and no way to get my money back or an alternate product from the company.
Item description says it works with macs. Macs haven’t been intel based since 2020. No idea why they would say it works with macs if it can’t play nice with an m1/m2 Chip (I have both an m1 and an m2 MacBook—this works with neither).

This is an amazing product, I honestly don’t see myself getting a more expensive one in the future.
The video quality doesn’t degrade whatsoever when transferred to my streaming software and works great on stream.
I was super nervous because of the “meh” reviews for installation, but it wasn’t difficult for me at all (however I do have some prior experience with software/hardware of technology and video games). I got it first try which was nice considering what the reviews told me to expect.
The one thing to be aware of for installation: the computer recognizes it as a video input similar to a camera. If you want to view it on your computer, use it like you would a camera, and add it to a stream software (I use Streamlabs and am familiar with OBS, its simple to add – just make sure you add another “camera” and select the UBS device for the source instead of a formal camera if you have one) or a software similar to it, something that lets you see the input of a outside device, like testing a camera on Zoom or a private vc on discord.
For tech nerds: I didn’t need to update drivers or anything techy averages may not know, I literally plugged in the HDMI cord to the Switch Dock and to the Decoder, then the UBS input to the computer (and the power cord for the dock itself) and the moment I plugged it in the computer recognized it and it worked fine.
Probably 15-30 min set up for me. The box had a diagram for what cords you need depending on if you’re sharing a phone screen, displaying an XBOX or PlayStation, or switch, or something of the like. It also came with the necessary USB and HDMI too, so don’t worry about purchasing any other cords either.

So, there were definitely some issues I had for a while, especially when it came to capturing the sound. In Streamlabs and TikTok Live Studio, it was a hassle.
Let me preface that I have a laptop, not a tower. At first, my monitor was a little older, and didn’t have a direct HDMI port, so I had to get a DVI to HDMI cable to capture the video. That took some time, but I managed to get it. Then, come to find out that those cables don’t capture sound, just the display, or at least for me.
I was having issues getting the sound to work and eventually had to switch monitors for it to work, but then the sound would come out through the port in the card and not my headphones connected to my blue yeti, so that was hard to deal with. I did have to go through these reviews, and the issue about the sound I was able to figure out by looking through here and changing the input to the USB 3.0 audio, but to get it working through Streamlabs and TikTok, it took more time.
I went to sleep, woke up, and magically, everything was fixed the next morning. Maybe my computer restarted when I was sleeping? Who knows. Now that it works, it works great. No issues with the sound or video capture, no buffering either.

The product came neatly packed and was easy to use. I used it to hook my laptop up to my switch to stream on Twitch and the clarity is great. I’ve recommended it to a lot of friends.

This is a great little capture card. It was physically easy to install, but getting it paired with OBS took some time. Whether that’s my hinky laptop’s problem or the card being a more affordable card I don’t know. I’ve had this for about 3 weeks and after I was able to clear the problems with OBS up, it’s worked great. If you switch your USB ports around, you will have to reboot your system for OBS to find it again, or so that was my experience.
I have two USB hub devices on my laptop, one hub is used for its HDMI port for my TV, and the other is a pure 7-slot USB hub as my laptop doesn’t have a lot of USB ports. This capture card is plugged into my Anker 7-slot hub. It works great there. I DID have to buy a USB 3.0 cord from JSAUX as the USB cord that came with the card was horribly short, like 1.5 feet. For my card setup, one HDMI slot goes from the card to the TV and one goes from the Nintendo Switch to the card. Using this card, I am still able to use my TV as an extra monitor for my PC (I have an HDMI cord plugged in directly to my PC from the TV) AND play the game from my much bigger TV (courtesy of this capture card’s HDMI port to my TV). No splitter is required with my setup.
I will caution people to pay attention to the heat level on the card if they are leaving it lying flat on a surface. The card will get a little warm. This is why my picture shows the card suspended between the capture card and my USB hub. It keeps the card cooler. I keep a small desk fan on my Switch to keep it from overheating as well.
One Note: Windows seems to be updating my Windows 11 PC furiously this week. While before, OBS only had one “USB Device” option in Properties for my Video Capture Device, it now comes up with 2; one greyed out and one bright white. If you get a black screen when you start up OBS, click on the grey USB Device selection under Video Capture Device and it will bounce around to something else at which time you can select the bright white “USB Device” in the properties area. Don’t know why this is occurring and again it may just be my laptop manufacturer causing the problem, but if you have this black screen problem going back in and selecting the USB Device again might solve it.
If you are participating in a challenge and need a way to capture your Switch play to your PC to record it, this is a great little card that is incredibly affordable. I won’t know how durable it is until sufficient time passes, but for now, it’s doing its job very well. =)
