Recently had a scare with our 9 y/o Great Dane. Became lethargic and was not acting like his normal self at all. Had taken him to the vet twice within a two week period. NSAIDs were prescribed because nothing was seen on labs or xray. Startee having diarrhea a few days after NSAIDs were started but he was starting to come around. He was also placed on some medication for his nerves because he went through a tornado and storms terrify him now and we pretty much have storms every other day it feels like now. So basically it came down to the problem was he was hurting. I wanted something that was not going to be hard on his stomach. He has to take 8 chews a day because he weighs 124lbs. We have 3 other senior babies as well and it has helped them out as well. Just wish it came with more in a package as we have big dogs and have to order multiple packs. This definitely helps. Give it a try…some of our dogs are picky eaters too, they get excited for these “treats” 😉

I switched to this product and for the first couple of orders my dog (who usually eats everything) enjoyed getting these as a treat twice a day. But the last batch she absolutely will not touch them. I have even cut it up and put it in her food and she eats around them! So could it be a contaminated batch. Something has changed for sure. Just take notice and there is no refund available!

This product has a very interesting smell, like a strong well-cooked bacon – herb – something. My dog is a large German Shepherd so she needs 4-6 of these. She sniffed them and backed away but will eat them mixed in with her regular dog food. I give her these treats because my dog is a senior, hopefully they help. I think it is better than not giving anything to an older dog.
