Great shoe! Offers best support for lacrosse ! Runs narrow !

I’ve been looking constantly for less rigid soccer cleats for my poor, arthritic feet. I play ultimate frisbee 2x/week and I need something that can flex with my feet and still feel durable. This is it!!

These cleats are the second pair for my son. They are reliable and fit is true to
Size and comfortable. These cleats have held up very well and as far as cleats go, this NB pair is very good.

Shoe was true to size and very comfortable. Would need some break in time

My son wore these 3 times and they fell apart. He loves the fit, comfort and performance of these cleats and this is about the fifth pair we’ve purchased of New Balance Freeze over the years as he’s grown. The earlier pairs, likely an earlier model, seemed to hold up ok but were definitely very worn at the end of each season, which wasn’t an issue for us due to his rate of growth – he couldn’t fit in them an additional season. One of the older pairs lasted a spring lacrosse season into a fall football season. He had a white pair of NB Freeze this spring and holes formed through the plastic spikes by the end of the season and the shoes were falling apart. We purchased this pair to finish out the summer and use for football in the fall as he’s super picky and only wants this specific model. Literally, 3 days of football camp (no pads or tackling) – the same kind of running an athlete would do in lacrosse and they’re falling apart. I’m so disappointed and unfortunately we’re going to have to find something different. I hope New Balance can fix this issue with the quality.

I play Ultimate and I have primarily worn soccer cleats for my 15yr+ of playing. I was initially very hesitant to try Lacrosse cleats as they often have restrictive ankles and feel heavy. These New Balance FreezeLX are game changing!
One of the things I was not expecting was the comfort. Soccer cleats are all about getting the most touch on the ball so they are typically incredibly thin and uncomfortable for long tournament weekends. The cushion of the sole and the entire interior of this cleat is stunning. 8 game weekends are easy and I typically only have to change out my socks once a day.
The biggest adjustment for these cleats is the cleat pattern. If you are used to turning / change of direction quickly and frequently you will feel a bit more of a “bite” than usual. However, I have adjusted a bit by sinking into the cut and it feels fairly natural now.
Finally, after roughly two seasons I can also highly recommend these cleats for their durability. I would typically be starting on my next pair of soccer cleats by the end of a season (roughly 6-8 tournaments, weekly practices, pickup, etc.). These cleats have shown no sign of significant wear other than around the heel. The downside to that cushiony inside is that they DO retain smells and wetness, but I suggest using a charcoal or rice bag to prevent this post-match.
Highly recommended!

Son loves these compared to a lot of other different brands

My 17 year old son has a wide foot and let me know that these are comfortable, without me even asking him. This says a lot since he doesn’t say much, ever! Held up for a season and a half of baseball so far, which speaks to good durability. I bought a half size up for him.
