I pitched this 5 times and the only time it laid flat was when it dropped to the ground. The arching poles cave inward so the mesh and rain fly sag into the sleep space. Those poles bent, the stakes bent, the cross bars frequently popped out of their pocket, the mesh got holes in it, and it bowed. Good idea, poor design and cheap materials. Returned.

I’ve slept 2 nights in an absolute downpour of storms and stayed bone dry. I paired this with a lightweight foot inflate mattress and was just right. Was a bit tricky the first time setting up. That’s why I did a practice setup in my yard before taking out for real. I figured out you need about 12 to 13ft between trees. The trees are better if they are smaller, say 8 to 16 inch diameter because it helps to double wrap the tree with the straps and if it is too fat of a tree “especially at the base” for the lower straps you lose the length you need to get back to your strap clamps that allow you to tighten the bottom making it lay flat – meaning your ends might not reach. I strap the top strap about 5ft off the ground. I did have a seam on the bug net that came loose or missed getting sewed good. Also, had one small tear near the zipper flap on the rain guard. Emailed tech support and they sent me a whole new unit quickly. Very happy with this hammock tent!

Don’t have a lot to compare to but I am a first time Hammock camper. First I am 6’6” and 250lbs. This thing was awesome and true to its name!
Now the first day I used this was 9/27 (Hurricane Helene) during my weekend trip had 15+ inches of rain, sustained winds for 2 hrs at 65-70mph and then 45+ for the rest of the day.
Two things- everything around me was soaked, many of my friends tents were destroyed.
    Now me
Everything I stored in shelf was bone dry, I was bone dry in the hammock and I stayed flat.
I thought for sure I would have been soaked and on the ground by the end of the weekend.
This is the only way I will camp in the fall now!

I got this because I dont sleep well on my back in a conventional hammock and this did not disappoint takes a bit to set up the first time and even the second time but after getting it figured out I can set it up just as fast and easy as my regular hammock make sure to put the tension straps as low as possible on the tree and pull as tight as possible may have to adjust them to keep it stable but once done it is very comfy I was able to roll over on my side and even on my belly and was very comfy and slept well the first night I didnt use a sleep pad and had just 1 pressure point that was noticeable so I recommend some kind of pad and you’ll be as comfy as being in your own bed

Most stable hammock compared to 5 others, which I used. This one is most comfortable primarily due to its double straps each end and also held stretched out by 2 poles underneath. This hammock is a game changer! And might made other competitor catch-up!

I’ve had a chance to field test this a few times, and I have no complaints. It’s very well put together and comes with everything you need. The only thing I had an issue with was the tension on the stability straps, but that was on the first use. I now know to tighten them much more. Everything about this product is amazing. It’s not just a hammock, it’s a bivouac off the ground! The zippers are a great quality, the hammock is roomy, comfortable and has places to hang things (hooks at either end) and store things (interior pockets). And if that wasn’t enough, the added storage below the hammock will accommodate all your bigger items. I had my pack, tool, fishing rod and tackle box in it, and had room for more. I wish it had a compartment to throw a mat or other such thing in, as it does get cold fast, but it’s not a dealbreaker. I now use a smaller down filled bag, with a heftier down filled bag on top, and that is ample warmth. I say this as a resident of Northern Canada. Coldest night in it so far was 4degrees Celsius, and I was toasty. I can’t recommend this highly enough!

Exceeded my expectations for a 4-night stay. Print setup instructions were minimal, but YouTube supplements worked for easy setup. Quality materials and stable flat platform. Would recommend.

Amazing customer support and service! Purchased this tent for a Kayak camping trip. it packed up small and worked well. Its easy and fast to set up and it weathered a strong rain storm and down pour without any leakage… It was a little tippy for me at first but after awhile you become comfortable in it. I did have an issue with a tear in the corner at the bottom. I contacted Night Cat customer service after I returned home and they replaced the tent no questions asked. Rarely do I find a company that stands behind their product like Night Cat did or a customer service team that so willing to work with and please the customer.

I’ve used this about 3 times now and it’s kind of hard to get set app to where it doesn’t feel like you’re gonna fall out of it if you can double wrap the supporting straps around the tree base. It really helps also if the trees are wide that really helps with stability. It’s very comfortable to land I use a climate V-2. Sleeping Pad inside so comfy. it’s perfect size For me i’m 6’1 about a hundred and eighty five pounds. I got this because I didn’t want a traditional style hammock. Because it seems kind of awkward to land and I see a lot of complaints of being shaped like a banana. But this seems to be perfect for me. It is a bit heavy for backpacking. But I do mostly car camping so it’s not really a problem. The package size is very small. It’s actually smaller than my sleeping bag. Packed up, there is only one con that I can think of and it’s the rainfly. It’s extremely flappy and it doesn’t seem to like be very tight around the top of the hammock, but it seems well made. The bottom is very heavy duty. I did get caught in a few very heavy thunderstorms. And I did not have any issue with getting wet inside the only moisture that I had Inside seems to be from either the condensation from breathing or something. But the top gets very wet. But I was camping in really cool conditions around 40° at night. I didn’t get to see how well the bug net works. Because there was no bugs because it was so cold. But definitely an awesome little tent hammock thingy I really enjoy it

It is far better than a hammock but it’s really hard to have actually stable, our (dog friend & me) second night was far better than the first because I really yanked on the side pulls. The instructions lack slightly as I’m still not sure I’m setting right. Also was way harder to find trees than I thought! (On a heavily forested hike) Would be worth carrying extra rope as a lot of the trees were so big I couldn’t loop the provided straps around them. Also think a ratchet strap would help, so we shall see how the next hike goes!! Definitely need some sort of mat or no slip matt to prevent the sleeping bag from sliding around all night. And a pillow. The handles inside were very helpful for repositioning throughout the night. Also helpful that I could shake the tent to scare the squirrels & chipmunks away from our stuff in the night, so no damage. The lower shelf was so great. Just be mindful of condensation.
