A Concerned Mom –
This light is bright, is easy to recharge, and worked well for just over 2 years. Then it quit. Refused to recharge. I would give it a higher rating if it had lasted longer.
Lau Siew Ping –
The brightness is good but the on/off button is extremely crappy! Don’t buy this product! I’m shocked that niterider came out with such a poor design! Besides, the stripe is too short! Thumbs down!
Melanie Gouzinis –
Item arrived really quickly and as expected – it’s a gift so can’t comment on the actual product but no reason to doubt it.
Scott Davey –
Easy to charge and lasts a long time and very bright
Dan’s reviews –
Need to be sure it is fully snapped into the mount because it fell off a couple times when it looked snapped in. Aside from that, this one holds charge for much longer than a prior version, and is bright enough even for day time.
Jiminy Cricket –
I bought this light because I had an older battery powered light from Knight Rider, and I was hoping it would fit in the same holder. It didn’t. But everything about this light is great. It’s absolutely as bright as you need it to be, and the different modes are great. Contrary to some of the other reviews, you do not have to cycle through all of them to turn it off. Just hold down the button. And then when you turn it back on it will be in the same mode it was in when you turned it off.
The first light I got, one of the bright LEDs quit after a couple of weeks, but I sent a video of it to the company, and they shipped me a replacement. I’ve had the replacement for almost a year now, it’s survived the rain, summer heat, winter cold, and Burning Man dust.

I’ve used the Solas 100 for many years and am very happy with it. It’s rechargeable, bright, and has a long battery life. In my experience, the battery in blinking mode lasts longer than it claims, and I feel confident it will last me on the majority of my rides without recharging up until I see the low battery warning.
With other lights, I’ve found battery drain and run out before even getting the low battery warning due to poor battery life. I’ve also tried the Solas 250, but found that the battery life was disappointing – I suspect the two products use the same battery. The 100 is bright enough and I’d rather have the longer battery life and peace of mind that it won’t drain completely mid-ride.
Also – a note on durability – I’ve seen folks comment on the charging point being a point of failure. In my experience, that has been a point of failure in the past. My first lasted only a year before failing, but that was because I did not firmly secure the rubber seal leading to grit getting into the port. My last light lasted 3-4 years – also failing from charging port (but acceptable given how long it lasted), but again due to user error – I got water up the charging point due to hosing down my bike without fully securing the seal.
I think as long as you make sure the rubber seal is firmly secured after charging, or before a hose down, it’ll last just fine!
it’s bright, light, and rechargeable. As long as you make sure the rubber seal is firmly protecting the charging port, it’ll also last a long time.

Excelente luz de gran calidad y al mejor precio

In my experience, rear lights are more important than headlights when cycling on public roads before dawn. The battery lasts for about an hour which is plenty of time for my morning, pre-dawn rides. This is my 3rd NiteRider Solas 100 light in the past 10+ years. My only gripe is the USB female connector on the light shorts out and wears down over time and after many charges. This is replacing a dead Solas 100 with a bad USB connector. Still, it lasted many years…. good product. The light is more than bright enough to be seen over 100 yards for passing vehicles. Highly recommended.

Es la mejor luz trasera que he tenido, la pila dura horas, es altamente visible tanto de día como de noche, la de mi bici tiene cuatro años y sigue funcionando perfectamente, las nuevas que compré son para las bicis de mis hijas
JOSE –
The light is bright, and the rechargeable battery lasts very well. Overall, a highly recommended and long-lasting product.
Thomas L. King –
Really like this light. EVERY vehicle that has passed me on the road since I installed this has moved completely over into the adjacent lane, never trying to share a lane with me. I lost one light due to user error- failed to completely seat the light on the mount and it vibrated off. Now, after 7 months and charging after most rides, the charging port has failed on the replacement. The interior contacts have folded and cannot make contact. The good news is that it took about 7 or 8 hours of daytime strobing before the light failed after the last successful charging. Now, however charging is not possible. I am currently away from home and don’t have much in the way of tools. I may be able to jury rig a replacement charging contact when I get home. My other light (on the wife’s trike) has been getting harder to charge. must carefully insert the plug part way in, and set it down on the table just right to enable a charge. I have done a bit of filing and have inserted a magnetic connector which enables charging. To do that I had to rip out the rubber weather seal. After I return home I will seal the opening with silicone which will still allow me to charge and keep the weather out. It looks like they really went out of their way to use the cheapest possible charging port available. I like the way it works, I like the brightness and the excellent battery life, but if I can’t recharge it, it is worthless.

Excellent light, very bright. Didn’t come with a charging cord. Reached out to NR via email and they replied the same day, letting me know they were sending me a charger. Not my 1st NR product, Excellent quality.
