The Nameless One –
My experience with the program is typically as follows:
Program has logged itself out without notifying me, and requires me to reenter my user name and password even though the program has it stored, and the program settings are set to “auto-login.” If I shut the program down and restart it, it automatically will login.
Program shuts down for no reason and doesn’t tell me it’s no longer protecting me.
Program cannot connect to the server.
Program won’t load right after restarting my machine.
It works some times, but I paid for it to protect my Wi-Fi connection all the time. Huge waste of money. Do not buy.
Seems to work fine on my phone, but is worthless on my Windows 10 PC.
Edit 1/24/2018: The program has found a new way to aggravate me. The last few days my computer will eventually “lose” its internet connection completely. Shutting off Norton WiFi reestablishes my computer’s internet connection. Then I can turn Norton WiFi back on. Again, this is a major problem if I’m trying to have a fully secure Internet connection.
I’m hopeful that over time Symantec will work out all these bugs, but at this rate I don’t feel they’ve released a stable or dependable product.

I’ve been a customer of Symantec since the 90s, and this is the first time I’ve been disappointed with one of their applications. Here’s the problems I’m seeing with it:
1. Very often the app slows Internet access speeds to a crawl – to the point of not being usable.
2. Two of my devices have UHD resolution, and the app displays in a postage stamp-sized window, making it very difficult to see or use. There’s no excuse for apps to not be programmed for newer, high resolution screens. They’ve been around for a few years now.
3. The app often loses my credentials after a computer restart, and I have to sign in again.
4. No documentation. The app is fairly self-explanatory, but there still should be a PDF version of a manual available for download. Instead, the Help button links to their web page, where you can read some very general FAQs, or you can spend hours searching the forum for answers. This isn’t acceptable to me.
5. The “My Norton” account page doesn’t list the devices that the app is installed on.
It seems that Symantec rushed this product to market before it was ready. I will not be recommending it to anyone.
Amazon Customer –
DO NOT BUY THIS! FIRST OF ALL, After sometime you’ll get a message from Norton stating the version installed is no longer valid and you MUST UPGRADE. after the upgrade it won’t work at all, you won’t even be able to sign in. Second, Norton Customer Service is some ignorant rude and belligerent guy in India or Pakistan that will ask you for your password (I didn’t give it to him). Then he’ll say your computer is not compatible with the upgrade and new version of Norton. It’s a scam!!

The installation was fairly straightforward however I couldn’t get it to start at all (when double-clicking the icon, no popup window appeared) and had to de-install/re-install three times. Not sure what the issues were. I also noticed if I put the laptop in sleep mode (such as by closing the lid) while VPN protection was enabled, the VPN would not reactivate properly when the laptop came out of sleep and I would have to restart Windows to make it work again. If I disabled the VPN before putting the laptop in sleep mode, then the VPN would reactiivate properly. Overall I think this is a good product. I am also glad that my private data won’t be stored on the VPN servers (according to Norton’s Disclaimer). I am considering switching to Norton 360 which includes lifelock, VPN, and internet protection.

Seems to do what it is supposed to do. Only drawback is it slows your internet speed down.
Angelo –
Beats the outrages prices on the market…Easy communication with no problem loading to computer and devices.
Ron L. –
It works, but it has its quirks. The user interface and instructions need some attention. Sometimes, for no obvious reason, it requires that I sign-in again, sometimes twice in a row. It also sometimes shows double icons in the notification tray. Lastly, this was a new license code for last years installation. Nowhere did I see that I needed to uninstall last years app and download it and reinstall it again to switch to the new license. I couldn’t find anywhere to just enter the new code.
Would I buy it again? Well, I did buy it again. The low price won me over.

This Norton VPN didn’t work well for my Windows desktop or my Android. I had to exclude so many programs on my Android, it made the product useless. On my desktop, it added about 80ms to each ping, also connecting to a server was terribly sporadic. Recovery from the kill switch was so slow, it made the product unusable. I removed this VPN from my devices, threw away $20 in cost.
