I was fine with the taste of this using it in smoothies with berries and soy milk. And the texture was fine too. It is a bit salty but if you are using more milk and berries then it’s not as strong. However, one serving a day was too much for my GI system. I can eat a decent quantity of liquid egg whites and other things with egg whites in them but this was just too intense for my GI system and my guts had me up in the middle of the night which is something that is rare for me.
If it doesn’t bother your digestion, it’s a great source of protein and easy to supplement in to reach your protein needs.

I started mixing this in with my cats food to reduce the allergen load in my home. Works pretty well and gives my little guy some extra protein. He can’t tell there’s a different taste either and doesn’t get an upset stomach. I used it once and also couldn’t taste the difference. This product does not come with a measuring spoon. The wide opening is convenient and easy to use. The price is a bit high but seems to be a fair market value.

10/24/24: Read all the reviews and was concerned, but not worried, about mixing it in coffee so I took a chance. Very glad I did. Nice large size without be heavy and plenty of powder. I dug out a scoop I had from something else and it works perfectly to give me the amount I need per mug. Using it in cold coffee, the way I like my coffee, and it froths up a bit but integrates perfectly with a low power, battery operated milk frother I already had. I don’t taste anything but the coffee and I can have coffee all through my day and get the extra protein I need.

THE REVIEW: I was pleasantly surprised by this product. I dislike the taste of whey and other protein powders and decided to try egg white protein. This product is 100% dehydrated egg whites that have been pasteurized and fortified. Right out of the container they have a slight salty taste, but when I add it to my shake mixtures I do not taste the salt. Also, you can cook with the egg white powder as well. The package says to use 2 tablespoons of egg white protein powder and 6 tablespoons of water for a substitute for two eggs in a recipe.
TIPS: One very important tip: You must use a wand type mixer or a bullet type mixer or blender to dissolve the eggs. USE ROOM TEMPERATURE WATER when you do this. Also, store your container in the fridge after opening.
A FEW RECIPES TO GET YOU STARTED WITH THIS PRODUCT:
Scrambled Eggs: Makes two eggs. Mix 2 tablespoons of egg protein powder with 6 tablespoon of room temperature water. Dissolve well with a wand mixer (such as a Handy Blender) or in a bullet type mixer cup. Cook just like you would scramble eggs making sure you are using cooking spray and a nonstick skillet. This product congeals beautifully and the flavor is yummy!
Basic Protein Shake: In a blender or in a bullet type mixer cup place 1/4 cup egg white protein powder (approximately 4 tablespoons), 12 ounces of almond or rice milk, 1/2 banana, 1/2 cup ice, sweetener of choice to desired taste (such as stevia, honey, etc.). Feel free to add flax seed, oatmeal or any other add-ons of your choice to the basic recipe. Blend until well incorporated and serve. Makes one serving. Tip – blend all ingredients together before adding ice. This is not necessary, but I have found the texture to be smoother.
For weight loss or post workout recovery – Add the powder of one BCAA capsule into the mixture before blending. Makes you feel uber satsified if you are using for a weight loss meal replacement, and quickly refuels the body post workout in a tasty way.

I have purchased several other brands of egg white protein. I decided to try this one for the price to make my egg white bread. Unfortunately my bread didn’t rise and the taste was not pleasant as all. It tasted like plastic or a chemical taste. I tried it once more and the same issue occurred. Bad taste and my bread didn’t rise. With the other egg white protein powders I did not have either of these issues. I wish I could return but Amazon does not allow it for food items. A waste of my money and will not purchase again.
