I was worried this would be too cumbersome on the kayak but works well. Back is high so I don’t have it interfering when sitting down (Native Slayer 12.5 Max). I view this more as an accessory so you trick yourself into wearing/liking it more. I like the number of pockets that I can store and quickly access things and not worry about pulling out trays or getting into compartments to get my phone etc. on the kayak. It does stick out more than my self-inflatable PFD, so casting is not quite as tight. I picked this up on sale and no regrets.

Rugged, comfortable

I’m happy overall with this vest. Fits well, comfortable and plenty of pockets to store whatever I need while kayak fishing. Only complaint is the zipper broke on the small zippered pocket (within a bigger pocket) on the left side. This happened shortly after I began using it – so kind of disappointing there. But overall this is a nice life vest.

Happy Girl –
My husband is, well hard to say nicely, he’s short 5”7’ and chunky 250 lbs. So kayak PFDs are hard for him to find. This one has such a wide ability to customize he can get into it comfortably then adjust to be comfortable and safe. The high back is his favorite part because he has a removable seat to deal with. The pockets and areas to connect things to are plentiful and he loves this thing. He jumped in the freezing pool with it and it will definitely keep him floating until a whale crane can pluck him out of the lake.

I really like this jacket even though it’s supposed to be for a man. It has multiple adjustment straps from shoulders to chest to waist and at hips so for a big chested gal that’s not very tall it works great. The pad in the back doesn’t get in the way of me sitting it paddling when i kayak. It doesn’t go up bc of all the adjustable straps. I did have to buy the xl/xxl to get it to zip up ..i really like everything about it, multiple pockets to hold a lot of stuff and lower hip clip plus strong zipper and all the adjustable straps. I really can’t complain about anything. The extra long straps would probably work in a tall big guy but as i said I’m a short gal… I’m 5’4″and 40DDD and find a life jacket to accommodate me was very hard..i used the try b4 you buy and ordered quite a few to find the ones that work best… This is one of the 2 i purchased..i find that they’re way cheaper if you get them from Amazon Warehouse almost half price which is great bca good life jacket can cost upwards of 400 bucks but if it didn’t fit right in the guy’s that tried it first they return and i reap the rewards of their bellies… Anyway get one if You’re a gal and need something great that adjusts to fit all your curves.
Just-a-Guy –
I’m not a small guy (5’11 230ish lbs). This PFD fits really well. The pockets are great. I bought it for kayak fishing. I will say when it is zipped and I am seated it is difficult to bend over. Fortunately there’s a waist buckle inside of the vest, I’m able to keep the vest unzipped yet still buckled for more ventilation and mobility. Overall its very comfortable comfortable and well worth it.

Life jacket fits well and is well made. Haven’t had opportunity to try it out yet.
