すべての曲が、易しいアレンジ（Ａ）と少し難しいアレンジ（Ｂ）に。どの曲もきれいなメロディなのですが、やはりＢのアレンジは、和音の響きが、とてもいいです。独学で弾いているので、誰にもだめ押しされず、ついＢのほうに目が行ってしまい、基本の練習にはなりませんが、つたないながらも楽しんでいます。今のお気に入りは、「Blind Mary」。オカロランが、奥さんを思って書いた曲、とても素敵です。どの曲も臨時記号がなく、レバーを気にしないで弾けます。その点は楽ですが、レバー操作の練習にはならないですね。
こちらは、イギリスから届くので、少し時間はかかりますが、お値段はかなりお得だと思います。待つかいがあります。

Delightful collection of the classic Irish harpist. I found the arrangements quite useful to work with – an “easy” version and an advanced version of each song, along with suggested harp fingerings and chords in case the artist wishes to do his/her own left-hand arrangement. Many familiar and popular songs from O’Carolan’s repertoire were included in this book. Lastly, the wire-binding format facilitated the placement of the book on the music stand. So many collections are bound with glue and makes placement of the music sheets upon the stand a difficult task at best. Kudos to Sylvia Woods for a job well done.

Nice quality ring-bound book. Tunes laid out in easy to follow manner; A (easier) then B (more advanced). Clear notation and fingering written in if needed.
Just one slight observation, on some longer tunes that have two sections to the melody, they have split the tunes in a strange way, for example they have one Part 1 – A (easier) on one page with Part 1 – B (more advanced) on the page beside it. Then you’d have to turn the page to Part 2 A (easier) and the next page Part 2 B (more advanced).
It’s nothing major, just an observation. Nice, easy to follow book.
