Great hat, the right amount of stretch to stay on without being tight. No itchy head which Is great

My husband has a physically large head. He may have a large head in other ways, but the size of his head, when it comes to hats, is an issue – we vacation in the winter, which often involves snow, where hats are pretty handy if you want to be comfortable. It has been looking to me like his head has been getting bigger and bigger – or else his hats have been getting smaller – because his older hats have been riding up and squeezing his increasingly pointy-looking head.
So I looked on Amazon for “oversize knit men’s cap” and this popped up. (Big “thank you” to the gratifying conveniences of the capability.) I wasn’t sure about the logo in front (in addition to the head size, he’s also quite fussy) – but turns out, the fit is the main factor and he loves it.
Which means, in cold weather, he wears it, and doesn’t refuse to stop the car in the snow for photos, or fuss about it being too cold to go out. I’d like to take full credit for this victory, but really, credit belongs to Outdoor Research, and the helpful Amazon capability that landed me at their Amazon site. Really, they made him happy, and when he’s happy, everybody’s happy.

One of the best caps I’ve had. It isn’t as itchy as some of the wool blend caps from other manufacturers (altho not as soft as a pure fleece cap). The fit is pretty comfortable with a right level of elasticity. I have an XL size head, and this fits me very comfortable, without that overly tight constricting feeling you get from other caps from other brands like Arc’teryx or Patagonia.
It’s a little expensive, but I think it’s a good quality cap, and I think is worth it.

Great warmth and quality

I lost it already but that’s no fault of the hat. I love this color and the way it fits my head. I don’t care for the price, being that it’s acrylic and made in Vietnam, so you’re kinda paying for a specific color or the outdoor research tag, especially when you can get US made wigwam beanies for $8.
Either way, I find a lot of OR stuff to be a good deal, and some of it to be not made well. This is just a cheap beanie and I can’t really justify buying it again after losing one in about a month.

Great Beanie, very comfortable, highly recomened.

It looks and feels good, but is not real warm or especially wind proof. I have a pretty normal size head and this beanie is kind of small in its relaxed, off-the-head state. It is very stretchy so it expands to go on your head easily, but after a few minutes the stretchy material wants to pull back to its un-stretched size and causes it to ride up on your head, exposing your ears and upper part of your neck. I find myself having to pull it back down a lot, which gets to be a PIA on real cold days

Got this for my boy (age 17) he loves being outdoors and this fit the ticket for style and fun
