61-year-old Male. With excellent hearing. I mean excellent! However, for some reason, when I order a Cordless phone, I can’t seem to hear the caller. I began this odyssey on July 5th, ’17.
7/5..V-Tech CS6114, Garbage in every conceivable way you could think of. Returned.
7/7..AT&T EL5-1103, nice ring tone incoming, but could not hear, a lot like the above. Returned.
8/7..Panasonic KX-TG6591T..Easy to use and set-up, but callers could not hear me or I them very well. Very low ringer. Returned.
You simply have to pay the Money, no way around it. You have to pay the money to get what you want, go cheap and suffer like I did.
Such Clarity, don’t need to use the “Boost” Feature, I did anyway, and wow! It’s like the caller is in the same room. Set-up was a breeze. Very user-friendly, not at all like AT&T and V-Tech, those two dragged me through the mud and then threw me under the bus.
I like when I take the phone out of the cradle I can instantly talk to the caller; no need to hit talk. Call blocking and voice announcement. Loud ringer for incoming calls too.
The Bad. (1) No choice of ringer tone on incoming calls. Even AT&T did that. That’s the only thing it did well.
(2) Expensive. I bought mine used (like New) from Amazon for $65.07 with 2 day Prime delivery on a Sunday. Had to, I’m on a very fixed income. This all started because I got my wonderful Magic-Jack, I just love it and I also love Amazon’s generous return policy, zero risks. Prime is the way to go so many benefits. Only $6.45 (with tax) per month if you’re on a fixed income. Thank You Amazon, you’ve replaced Walmart.

I am 73 years old and wear bilateral hearing aids. I am still working and consulting with clients per phone. My Uniden phone for the hard of hearing stopped serving me well so I hunted for a replacement. Uniden no longer sells them. This is the only one I could find that looked promising. I am now one week short of time to send it back. I have 90 minute conferences so it is a challenge to hold the phone to my ear for that long. On my Uniden I used a headset which was really workable. Panasonic does not make a headset so I am trying to use a good Plantronics noise-canceling headset as I did on the Uniden phone and the connection for it is a joke on this phone. Most people cannot hear me well and I don’t hear them. I am really disappointed. The recorder works fine and so does the phonebook. I can raise the volume well enough to talk with the ear piece, but the headset is practically a dummy.
Update 11-19-19 I have just finished a 1 hour conversation with a client using this phone. It was miserable indeed because although I tried a number of options, the only way she could hear me was via the handset. The tone was weak and I had to ask her to repeat herself several times. I am going to return this.

This phone was easy to set up and follow hands on actions. I love the BLOCK feature that allows you to block unwanted calls. Even those that hide their number. I never answer the phone unless I know who it is and for anyone not in my directory, or who doesn’t have a number shown, I can block them. That alone was worth the cost from someone on the do not call list since day 1. The 40 dB volume option and even higher for the ringer makes this a great choice. It also has the flashing red lights as a visual option for calls. The larger handset with larger letters is more user friendly to read incoming call numbers even though the phone announces the caller. I like the white phone for a brighter look. Everything about this phone has been a significant improvement over my older, smaller, and darker phone. Great choice so far since you have different options you can set for the headset and the base.

I bought the phone because the phone service isn’t good where I live. It’s hard to hear on the line this phone let you listen easier, but the only problem is when you turn it up loud the ringer is extremely loud. I can hear the phone ring. It’s just talking on the phone. You Cannot set the ringer if you do then you can’t hear the people on the phone. Other than that, it’s great. It was marked down merchandise. I saved 60% on. It really one of the best phones I’ve ever owned

I got this for my Dad who has hearing aids that are not blue tooth compatible. He could not hear me when I called. This one said the sound was amplified and bluetooth compatible. If he changes his hearing aids to bluetooth at some point he won’t have to change phones. He said he can hear me perfectly with this phone.

We have been using this instrument for a month now and are very pleased with it. It’s clear, extra loud sound quality, when on boost, is just what my mother needed. While expensive, seeing her happily chatting away on the phone makes it a very worthwhile investment. The sellers were extremely helpful right from the start..five stars for this order.

Funciona muy bien, mi teléfono anterior era de la misma marca y duró siglos, espero que este dure también.

This was the third desktop phone I tried after our 15yo one croaked. This is the keeper. My hubby has lost most of his hearing. The volume controls give him excellent control. Easy to setup and operate. He likes vmail and this also has the controls he needs.
