Really lovely, however the eating space is plastic and is easily broken from big birds or the squirrels

I’ve bought several of these and also gifted them because they work really well against squirrels. They hold a lot of birdseed and the circular design allows for more birds to perch.
However, when the birds peck at the plastic material opening to get the seed out, they wear out fast and eventually in about six months, all your birdseed food will spill out onto the ground within a day, but the first moth or two it works excellent, and it lasts a long time. I would certainly buy another one if the manufacture had a quick and easy fix for this! So far I feel like I’ve tried them all but this one remains the best just plan on buying a new one every six months!

Out of the box, it looked rather fragile. But it has held up well so far, although it has not faced any serious winter storms yet. The birds seem to like it, both the small ones (chickadees, etc.) and the larger ones (jays, etc.). I have only seen one squirrel attempt at access; it gave up, seedless.

this is great for the birds and keeps the squirrels at bay. Unfortunately bears can get to it and even though I bring it in at night, the bears will pick it off during the day. Sometimes they take the seed and leave the feeder in working order. However, the last time they left it in splinters. So I bought it again. And I will buy it again if the bears get rough with it.

I really loved this bird feeder. It was as the said “Squirrel” proof. As you can see from my picture it’s not Crackle proof. Small birds flocked to but once the Crackles came they picked all of the holes clean out and seed fell like rain. Unfortunately replacing the ports is not an option since the manufacturer doesn’t offer this. So now I have a wonderful feeder that’s worthless. If you only have smaller birds then this is absolutely great and it’s comical watching the squirrels slide off. Not one squirrel figured it out. So I’m giving it 3 stars. Just as a side note not even Blue Jays could get into it.

This is a great feeder and well worth the price. The squirrels hate it but we love it and so do the birds. The large size also means you don’t have to fill it that often.

This is a great bird feeder. The design is excellent with the anti-squirrel feature which I haven’t seen work yet. The silicone star-shaped openings to the seeds keep spillage to almost nothing. I am using MUCH less seed now. The ladder-style perches allow for many sizes of birds to access the seed. The feeder is easy to refill and easy to clean. Birds love it.

We use this Wild bird feeder for few months. It sturdy and squirrels can’t use it. The only downside for this item that it is only used by smaller birds.

La mangeoire est vraiment efficace contre les écureuils: dès les premiers jours, nous avons vu un écureuil tenter sa chance, de toutes les manières possibles mais sans succès.
Le design empêche vraiment le gaspillage contrairement à notre ancien modèle. Les oiseaux doivent travailler un peu plus fort pour obtenir les graines et beaucoup moins de graines tombent par terre.
La capacité de stockage de la mangeoire est également appréciable et avec moins de gaspillage, nous la remplissons une fois par semaine comparativement à l’ancienne où c’était aux 2-3 jours.

FLAW #1: Some birds do indeed destroy the “flex ports” that retain the seed. I have been lucky so far in having polite, non-destructive birds, but it appears that grackles will do their best to eat the plastic off to make the whole bigger, defeating the purpose of the feeder.
SOLUTUON: Mfg warranty is 1 year. If you need replacement parts in the first year, they will send them free. Just email Perky Pet at the address on their site. ALTERNATELY, I have seen a YouTube video where a person crafted a replacement port using the plastic wall of a gallon milk jug.
FLAW #2: There is a plastic ring inside the top cover that is concave. If a big fat squirrel grabs onto the feeder and pulls hard enough, the weight can cause that ring to break. It would require quite a yank but it happened to mine.
SOLUTION: Mfg. warranty if it is within the first year since purchase. Email Perky Pet customer service. ALTERNATELY: Some UPS Stores are equipped with 3D printers and if you have all the pieces of the ring, they can reproduce it. Also, mounting your feeder where squirrels can’t reach it is a great idea.
