For the price of this, I would have the expectation that it wouldn’t break right out of the box but mine did when I pulled it out of the box. Thankfully, my dog hasn’t had interest in trying to lift the lid herself yet.
Outside of the semi-fragile nature of the product, it has been doing the job well and I’ve been impressed with the distance I can get so far with the remote still triggering treat dispensing. I bought this for barn dog training, as my dog gets reactive when horses canter. As I’m the one typically working the horses solo, training both at the same time gets difficult so the remote treat dispenser has been working great as a redirect conditioning tool to start getting her calmer.
I also really appreciate that I can turn off the beep as my dog knows beep is a warning signal because she’s doing something bad. Plus, the noise of the spinning wheel is loud enough that she hears the treats drop.

The machine works if you can overlook the fact that the screw for the feeder keeps coming undone and food gets jammed in there and it won’t turn. Doesn’t matter if you put a little food or a lot it still does it. It’s a lot of money for something that I have to stand there and keep fixing. Not really worth it. I’d have spent a little more on the better treat and train.

I have a puppy that is still in training. So far in her training journey, we have been using treat-motivated positive reinforcement in conjunction with vocal control and hand gestures. Overall, this training method has been working for us, but when I was given the chance to test this remote reward trainer, I thought it would be a fun addition to our current training method. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out for our training style, and at the current price, I was expecting more.
The best thing about this training tool is obviously that it can be used from a distance. This has pros and cons to it, but works quite well for things like pen training and stopping door scratching. With that said, it’s not the most effective method that I have found. While I was able to get a reaction from my dog, it didn’t seem to have the staying power that other types of training do.
The thing that I liked least about this tool is the price. At the current price of around $190, I had higher hopes for the build quality, training videos, and overall experience. While it wasn’t a total fail, it really wasn’t that helpful either.
Overall, I wouldn’t really recommend this training tool. It’s a cool concept, but for the price, it’s lacking.

The concept for this treat trainer is interesting. My dogs didn’t quite get it. In my case, my one dog is really rambunctious when guests first arrive. This treat dispenser distracts her and she settles down a bit before greeting people. I don’t think I’ll keep using it regularly though because it’s kind of bulky and I don’t have a great spot for it. One other note, I feel that this item is very expensive for what you get. It doesn’t feel that well made, so I’m not sure the justification for the price.

I bought this for our new puppy, and it is nonfunctional. I have spent hours trying to figure it out and seems like something is wrong with it. It won’t dispense anything, the remote does not seem to work even after new batteries. After reading at the reviews, I have determined it’s not just me having issues. The instructions on the set up our very unclear and doesn’t really explain anything.
Don’t waste your time, try a different brand.
