Tried it on both of my dog and it had no effect what so ever… Readed the manual twice to make sure we used it correctly and no result what so ever. Did not seem to matter to them at all. I won’t recommend it to anyone.

Let me just say: this product is PERFECT for my 55% chihuahua 25% pug 12% Pom and 8% unknown. Recently (23 days ago to be specific) we adopted a new orange 4.5 month old kitten named Johnny. My 55% chihuahua 25% pug 12% Pom and 8% unknown went CRAZY barking. She barked and barked and barked (RUFF RUFF RUFF RUFF RUFF RUFF RUFF) let’s just say she’s not the smartest foot at the zoo. In fact some might even say she’s an idiot. She couldn’t even figure out where the gosh darn cat was. But purchasing this collar MAY have been the BEST THING IVE EVER DONE. My 55% chihuahua 25% pug 12% Pom and 8% unknown never barks at the cat anymore because the collar buzzes her and she does not like that. Now you may be thinking, “ma’am! Couldn’t you just train your dog to not bark” and to that I respond with yes I could but I have tried and not succeeded. In fact, this dog has been somewhat of a handful to take care of! She is stupid and fat and eats all the food in the house. I forgive her though because I am truly a great purpose. This collar really made me think about how a simple purchase can change ones life. My dog still barks a lot but sometimes she dosent. I mean I couldn’t stop her as well with say a zucchini??? Haha just coming up with something random here. I’ve never done that….. but yes I recommend purchasing this product but only if you want to. I support whatever you choose!

Am not altogether sure I got true thing. I am suspicious of the packaging not the same as shown , the inside packaging was the same. Maybe it was 2nd hand , does not live up to expectations.batteries were not packaged as new were in a tiny plastic zip lock bag. The whole thing came in a box 3 times the size.
I was not going to bother to return it as I did not keep the packaging, when email came today I decided to let you know I think this is just a piece of rubbish and now realise why it was so cheap. The old saying is true
“you get what you pay for”

This is the first review I’ve written, though I shop Amazon all the time. My husband insisted that we order this bark control collar because someone we knew had success with it. I had very low expectations that it would have any effect at all on our loud, stubborn (but completely adorable!) beagle mix. He barks whenever we see another dog (cat, squirrel, rabbit, imaginary creature, etc.) while we’re out walking. Loudly. This is annoying and embarrassing. Our lab barks with him, but his bark doesn’t pierce the eardrum like the beagle’s. We received the collar yesterday and used it then and this morning. It is nothing short of amazing. Really, miraculous. My dog barked once yesterday and once this morning. After that, he would notice other dogs, wrinkle his forehead like he’s thinking about it, then just move on down the sidewalk. I was worried that it would be uncomfortable for him, or make him sad or anxious, but he seems completely fine. He is his normal happy self, just quieter.
I do have a couple of concerns. I don’t want him to never be able to bark. He’s a dog, it’s a natural reaction. He doesn’t bark for long periods of time or for no reason. So I ONLY intend to use this collar while we’re walking. I want him to learn that it’s not ok to wake the neighbors at 7 am just because there are other dogs on the planet.
My other concern is the fact that the collar seems pretty sensitive. The red light comes on when I cough, when a loud car goes by and possibly when he brushes against a tree or other object. So far, he doesn’t seem to react when it flashes briefly like that, so maybe it won’t be a problem. I’m hoping there is a difference in what he hears when he’s actually barking, so he will learn that that is what causes the tone. Since I can’t hear it myself, it is hard to know.
Overall, I am beyond thrilled with this collar after 2 days of use. I wish I had purchased it long ago. I’m sure it doesn’t work for all dogs, but I’m so happy that it’s working for us. I’m cautiously optimistic that the success will continue. If it doesn’t, I will update my review.

As you might expect, it kind of works but the dog can learn to ignore it. My dog was a little guy at the time (5lbs) so I figured I would give this a try. It confused him the first few times and seemed to be working at reducing his barking for a couple days. Then he decided he could just ignore the sound and putting the collar on him served no purpose.
No snowflakes! –
Our 1 year old Golden Retriever has 2 acres to roam and is controlled with an in the ground boundary system. He started barking at far away noises so and didn’t seem to want to stop. We decided to try this ultrasonic collar. The microphone is very sensitive and triggers on many noises other than barking. After a very short time our dog has chosen to ignore the collar and returned to his barking ways. We will have to try something else.

This doesn’t work whatsoever. Rather disappointing as we thought it would be a great alternative to trying a shock collar on our pup. The ultrasonic noise doesn’t phase her, and we question whether it even makes a noise when she barks. We followed all the instructions properly for the set up as well as placement around her neck. Still, this was a waste of our money. Unfortunate because I always love the products that this company makes!

This was awful we got a puppy in May bought this in August tried on puppy didn’t deter her at all she continued to bark like nothing was wrong. New we were getting another puppy in September again tried with this puppy does not work. Look else where. We have petsafe products and this one is horrible and was a total waste of money….

I have had great to moderate success with many petsafe products over the years. I have tried some of their other ultrasonic products and while not working on my dogs they did work on the neighbor dogs. This particular color did not work at all on my Golden Setter, it was like he didn’t hear it going off at all or it just didn’t distract him. The nylon collar itself is a basic collar with the typical snap to close, no issues here. The ultrasonic box felt like it was made of inexpensive materials and again neither I nor my dogs seemed to hear the tone emmitted. No way to tell if it was a fualty product or simply did not work from me.
