The colors are either not consistent or somehow it is oxidizing in the bottle. The original porcelain I got I had more of a pink tone. It was getting really low so I bought a new set with the porcelain in it. It’s past the return window now because I didn’t use it right away. The new one is much more yellow and lighter. The things I do like about this is if I put on a good oil moisturizer before I put them on they go on really smooth and I am able to get full coverage. It was something I had to learn because if I don’t put a good oil base moisturizer on it dries too fast and it seems to dry my skin out. It does not work well with certain moisturizers that will seem to almost peel underneath. But I am using bio oil under this and it’s fabulous. It is my favorite make up, but I’m concerned about the color difference.

I purchased this product out of sheer curiosity after seeing all the reviews. I have combination skin, suffer from menopausal acne, and have only a few fine lines. This foundation is well pigmented and is easily spreadable. It smooths lines and covers discoloration (scarring, hyperpigmentation) at about a medium level; although layering it can result in a “smeary” type of look and I advise against it. It works well for short events or photo shoots, giving that “air brush” appearance. However, it is not long-wearing, and gets weird looking a few hours into the day, as in it starts to break apart and flake/pill, and actually accentuates the appearance of active acne breakouts.

The coverage of this foundation is very good and a little goes a long way. I apply it with a dry sponge and dab it into my skin before smoothing it out, Since it is a soft matte and oil-control it does not have a drying appearance at all. There is a little dewey appearance which I really like. I don’t find that it cakes or settles into lines. This is a good value for something that works really well.

In the 25ish years that I have been wearing makeup, I have consistently tried different foundations. I’ve made my way through the spectrum of drug store ones, to high-end designer brands. I’ve tried every new fad foundation advertised. Starting way back, with the ones from infomercials, to the ones now on TikTok. I even still try the ones that are occasionally sent in my Ipsy box. This brand has been my all time favorite!
I’ve been using it for several years now, and that’s the longest I’ve ever stayed loyal to a specific foundation. It lasts me a long time, because you really don’t have to apply very much. It’s full coverage, but without the thick, heavy feeling. It goes on pretty easily and smoothly, not like lots of full coverage foundations that feel so thick, and difficult to spread and blend. Doesn’t look caked on, dry, or cracked. Usually appears smooth, makes my skin look hydrated with a bit of a dewy glow (I apply with a wet/damp beauty blender). The fact that I pay less than $20 for this, makes me feel so dumb for the ridiculously high priced foundations I have wasted money on in the past!

Great coverage, but never ever heavy or cakey. Been using this foundation for years. I’ve tried others but they don’t compare, not on coverage and really, not on price. A little goes a LONG way with this stuff; you have to use more with the any other “cheaper” foundation. So really, this is better coverage and more economical. Love it!

I was skeptical about this foundation because of the low price. But then again, for less than $10 I thought why not. It’s already cheaper than most drugstore brands. Wasn’t sure on the shade match so I just guessed. I ordered 05 Sand. For reference, I’m usually shade 310 in Fit Me Matte & Poreless. I am a normal to dry skin type. Mature, over 40 skin.
When I got it in the mail, it was a little darker than I expected, but I knew with the right concealer & careful blending I could make it work & I was right! I love this foundation!
As someone who owns approximately 30 foundations, I find myself reaching for this one when I want full coverage that lasts. I wear it when I’m creating content & special occasions where I know I’ll be photographed. It gives such a flawless base. I find it a little heavy for everyday wear, but I have found I can mix it with other more sheer foundations to add a little coverage or deepen the shade.
It works well with other products such as primers, cream contouring products & powders. I don’t have issues with it lifting when applying other products on top. It is more on the matte side, so I use it with a pore filling primer & a liquid illuminator (Becca) underneath & it gives the most beautiful glow! I’m 44 so I try to steer clear of fully matte products but this one is so easy to adapt for my skin.
I love this foundation so much I am ordering it in a lighter shade as well. Even though it is full coverage & very matte, I think it can be sheered out to be more wearable for everyday. As a former working freelance makeup artist, I think this would be a fantastic foundation to add to any professional kit! The price is affordable enough to purchase the entire shade range yet looks incredible! I think it could work for a variety of skin types.
I’ve included pics of it in indoor, incandescent light as well as outdoor, natural lighting. It’s full coverage & beautiful in my opinion! Try it out!
