This new stereo I needed so bad my old one didn’t have car play and couldn’t read my iPhone 11 when I plugged in. But this new stereo is awesome it has so many options for audio I love my bass for music it just has so many selections like wow. Now it’s easier to look at the screen then my phone when I use GPS. Would recommend to friends or family

Great product. I wish it could connect to my phone wirelessly rather than via a USB port.

Installed the radio 6 months ago to replace a Ford factory radio. Product looks nice but volume buttons are tiny. Having to fumble around while driving to change the volume is a terrible design. Car Play works well but again you have to push 2-3 tiny buttons to get to the proper screen. Would never buy this style again.
AM radio stopped working last month. Registered the product on the Pioneer website. Got an email confirming registration. Tried to set up an online warranty repair through the website… “We are sorry, a login account with the email address [ abc.com ] cannot be located. Please verifiy the email address entered and try again. If you currently do not have an online account, please proceed to our New Customer Registration form now.”… Called
the phone number listed on the website, waited, talked to Mr Rude. Tells me not to bother him but to call some other mom & pop repair shop in Florida. Sending it off for repair today at my expense. Fingers crossed.
Update 12/13/2020: Unit was repaired and re-installed in September 2020. AM Radio stopped working again yesterday. FM stopped working later in the day.
Update 6/7/2021: Backup camera screen not displaying correctly. Shows ‘zoomed in’ view when vehicle in reverse. Pioneer tech support team have no answers. Said to send for repair (at my expense) or buy a new unit.

Le port USB ne fonctionnait pas. J’ai été en mesure de retourner la radio et d’en avoir un autre sans problème. Les frais de port on même été remboursé. Malgré ma malchance, j’ai pu avoir avoir un radio en parfaite condition.

I am no audiophile or stereo installer, but i do a fair bit of DIY in the garage and work with tech regularly. The install was ok, and seemed to be pretty standard. I pretty much YouTube everything to pick up on tips and tricks before I start carving up the car. Post install I have been just so so impressed with the stereo. seems to hate link with my iPhone… hard connect via USB tether is junk. Bluetooth works better… sound is good, graphics so so and interface is ok not perfect. I purchased a Chinese headunit for my sons Golf and am happier with that install/and interface, although I know its output and LCD is not as robust as the Pioneer it also cost 1/3 the price. I would shop around a bit. I chose this based on some searches and reviews but am not as enthusiastic post install. hoping to jazz up the system with better speakers to overcome the interface irritation.

I had it installed on my 2015 Mitsubishi RVR (Outlandersport). It is a radio with a wide audience. It would be better if the screen was HD (LED supported). It wasn’t good to have the USB output at the back. It should be on the front panel. That’s why you need to set a cable outlet for the front panel of your car.

The product works very well. It pulls in radio stations clearly. The manual buttons on the side respond immediately. The Touchscreen user interface has a slight learning curve, but proves logical once mastered. The Android Auto works well and charges my phone.
It is really nice to find a quality product with cd, DVD, android auto, a big screen, and manual volume buttons.

I installed one in my 2002 F350 in March, stolen in July. I was mostly pleased with the original so I replaced it with the same unit, the AVH-2550NEX. The biggest disappointment is the difficulty in getting all the details for comparisons. Different sellers have no details, wrong details or incomplete details. Even the pioneer site did not list the input jack size for the AUX mini jack which is 3.5mm.
LIKES: *HD radio so I can pick up additional auxiliary sub-stations from certain radio stations.
*BlueTooth phone calls are VERY clear with no complaints from the other end of the line as always happened with my Jabra Bluetooth. *Music quality is great! Classic rock can be cranked up with good clarity, multiple EQ settings plus 2 custom settings. * Listening Location feature adjusts all 4 speakers for your chosen seating position so stereo sound is optimized. *Screen is easy to read, no glare, but our RAV4 has terrible glare with a similar Pioneer head unit. It seems that different vehicles contribute differently to glare on the screen. * Reverse camera activates automatically when put in reverse and has the red and yellow guide lines which can be toggled on or off.
DISLIKES: *the side buttons are tiny and difficult to use for my big fingers. Luckily a remote control is included and works very well when driving because I don’t need to lean forward to adjust stereo.
* the auto connect to my iPhone is inconsistent so I need to double check before driving in case I need to manually connect, * BIGGEST complaint is the long boot-up time. If I want to start-up and go the Reverse camera may not be available for 10 seconds or more after vehicle is started.
REAR INPUTS (see photo): microphone; AUX 3.5mm mini jack; Sirius radio; wired remote control; USB; iDataLink; Reverse camera; Am/Fm antenna; Pioneer navigation unit; R/L & Video In; Video Out; Front & Rear Left,Right & SubWoofer RCA jacks
INCLUDED in box: * microphone with clip-on or adhesive mounting & long cord around 10’, *Wireless Remote control, * USB cord with Male and Female ends, * Harness to plug into stereo with color coded pigtail wires to connect to vehicle.
Other items for my installation: Metra 95-5817 mounting kit, Raptor RAP-FD-5001 wiring harness connects the Pioneer harness wires to the Ford harness, APPS2CAR parking brake bypass device.

The image is amazing and crystal clear. No trouble seeing the display when the sunlight hits it or with my sunglasses on like my old kenwood radio. Love all the features and it installed perfectly in my 2006 F350

I replaced an 2011 Panasonic head unit that had the added navigation module. Since I found myself using my iPhone for navigation instead, I decided to upgrade to a unit with CarPlay. First thing I noticed is how much better sounding radio is, maybe the HD? More enjoyable to listen to radio now. I am streaming my music and works flawlessly. I connect my iPhone to the lightening cable and stream away. The cool part is after I exit the vehicle with the iPhone and return without connecting the cable, the music continues through the Bluetooth. Some complain about how small the buttons were, which doesn’t bother me a bit; I have a bigger screen.
