I’ve had this for about a year now. I run 2 X 34 inch curved monitors, and also have several extra’s plugged into the usb. Never had a problem at all. Worth the money!

This product does exactly what it says it will do. I use it to power two 4k monitors from my MacBook Air – something I was surprised that the Air doesn’t do on its own. So the Plugable device plugged right into my USB-C port and easily powered both monitors once I found the right cords and read the instructions.
One year and 3 days later it stopped working. I did all the troubleshooting possible and described that to their customer service. Without question, they rushed me a new one. Then it happened again within a few days. Power issues. But before I could complain, the Plugables customer service team proactively reached out to me to see if everything was OK. When I explained the problem, they rushed me another new one.
So here’s the problem – I have an electric standing desk that is plugged into the same exact outlet as the plugable device. When I raised the desk and released the motor’s power button, the plugable died. Motors create a power surge. So now I have a really good surge protector so the nice people at Plugable don’t have to keep sending me new devices.
These guys are the best for customer service!

Plugged in product and Downloaded their software and within seconds… 3 displays (M1 MacBook air and 2 additional monitors) – couldn’t be happier. I’m at 3 months now with the product and no glitching and still working great. Took forever to find something that would allow for 3 additional extended displays with the M1 chip.

excelnte estacion de acomplamiento, literal lo conecte a mi lap y enseguida se descargo el controlador y 2 monitores comenzaron a funcionar, funciona en la entrada USB C de un laptop MSI, require su propia corriente y no alimente la lap. me sobraron entradas
unico contra como se ve en la presentacion del producto, la base y la colocacion no es tan libre, pero si le encuentras un lugar seguro te funcionara al 100

I bought this because my employer provided a universal dock that was temperamental. I even tried buying the same brand they provided and had the same issues. This one worked with no extra effort. I’m able to use two monitors – one DP and one Hdmi – with the kvm switch I use, wireless mouse and keyboard, camera, and audio. Very happy overall with performance. The only thing that would make this better is if it also charged the laptop.

I got this for my M1 Macbook Pro ~ I am a digital artist and web designer ~ and I need as many monitors as possible ~ I tried another dock representing that it would work just fine on the M1 Macs ~ it didn’t. So I sent that one back and dove deeper into other options ~ read a bunch of reviews ~ and decided the Plugable might actually do what it says it will do ~ I took it out of the box ~ not much of any instructions ~ but the unique type of USB port and accompanying cable made it all very simple ~ it only goes in that port ~ and the computer icon on top of the port made it obvious where that cable goes. Plugged it in ~ connected my two external monitors ~ a 27″ 4K via Display Port and my Huion Kamvas 22 drawing monitor via HDMI. I already had the Displaylink app installed and running from the previous attempt at using the dock that just didn’t work no matter how I configured it… and ~ Plugable JUST WORKED ~ Instantly.
So thanks Plugable and thanks reviewers ~ so if you have a M1 or greater Macbook ~ you can be pretty sure the Plugable Dock will do the trick ~ it’s Plugable and Playable like it’s supposed to be!!

Getting this thing up and running was a pain. It requires installing the display link software and the separate login extension package. Then you need to “bless” the display link software in privacy settings on Mac OS for screen recording. Even after these steps it does not work properly. I was using this dock on a M2 MacBook Air running Mac OS Ventura 13.4. It was never stable to the point where I wanted to keep this dock system. There are two huge issues with this dock. (1) It does not support HDCP so playing back Hulu, Disney or Netflix isn’t possible. Major problem. (2) It would never work consistently after installation — only intermittently. Frequently when I would restart the laptop and attempt to load my workflows in Firefox the entire system would crash or become un-responsive and crash the browser. This would be a major issue for anyone involved in the media or content creation on YouTube or other platforms. I will describe the crashing issue. So pretend you just restarted or booted your computer. You open a web browser and search for a music stream, YouTube video, twitch stream, news video then BAM your browser crashes. There is no way to fix this except going into Privacy and Security settings in preferences and removing display link manager and re-inserting it in permissions for screen recording. Even when I did this half the time it never worked afterwards. These issues I described are going to force me to sell my M2 MacBook Air as I cannot get this thing to work as a desktop because this dock basically does not function. I had wanted to get a portable computer because it is functional for my workflows but the issue where there is no HDCP for media playback and the stability issues make my new laptop basically a non-working solution for my typical home media work. I had to go back to my M1 mac mini to get back up and running again. My M1 Mac Mini has 2x display outputs and fully supports HDCP. Problem solved. Don’t buy this.

Após muitas dificuldades em encontrar a dock Station (3 antes dessa) finalmente encontrei a Dock Station perfeita para as minhas demandas (2 monitores externos de tamanhos diferentes). Ela funciona muito bem, deixou a imagem nas telas com uma definição perfeita e seguindo as orientações do vendedor eu consegui fazer o Macbook Air M1 funcionar em duas telas independentes. No meu outro computador Dell também funciona perfeitamente bem! Não precisei instalar o app. sugerido pelo fabricante. Estou muito feliz com a performance do produto. Recomendo!

I purchased the Wavlink Docking station competitor, though competitor is unfair to Plugable. After many hours of nothing working right and doing every troubleshooting guide I could, I gave up. I then did more research and found this device, and when I opened the box and saw 5 instruction drawings with about 3-5 words per instruction I was worried again. I followed the instructions exactly, and in 2 mins it was up and running as it should. So if you use Macbook Air M1 chip, forget everyone else, this model works perfect. It is responsive, easy and doesn’t require anything other than downloading the software that takes a few seconds. I have 10 STARS and recommend, if you want to be free of frustration, returns … this actually amazed me it was so simple.
